Chapter 119: Mist Energy

As Mia was being held tightly by Ben, who kept comforting and warned her not to enter the beast sync arena due to the modular terrain floor, she finally broke free once Felix, carrying Krisha in his arms in a princess position, ascended into the perimeter.

They were accompanied by Master Shen, who gazed at Mia.

T-This girl...

Master Shen was shocked. Staring at Mia hugging Krisha tightly while crying to her hear out, he was dumbfounded.

He glanced at Felix and smiled. Good grief. This pair of siblings...

"Don’t cry, Mia. Big Sister Krisha is just sleeping out of exhaustion."

"NO!" Mia sharply glared at Felix and grumbled. "You killed her!"

Felix was dumbfounded. Suddenly, Krisha’s lips parted and a voice echoed barely, "I-I’m not."

Her breathing resumed, conveying she was indeed just sleeping.

Felix was bit surprised. He turned towards Master Shen and the latter simply smiled.

He said, "She was just awake for a second there. Can I ask you to take her to my pavilion? I want to talk with you more before leaving."

Felix was a bit surprised. Master Shen was a man of limited words and not as sentimental as he believed.

Nevertheless, Felix nodded and followed Master Shen who sauntered towards his pavilion.

The disciples cleared path for Master Shen as they bowed deeply towards him with deep respect.

When they arrived in Master Shen’s Pavilion, Master Shen ordered his trusted servant to bring out the bed he had never used.

It was one of the most expensive beds gifted to him from the producer of that bed. He accepted it out of gesture, but he had not tried it, not even once.

Thankfully, it came in handy as Krisha needed a comfortable bed to rest until she would wake up.

Once they lied Krisha on the bed, with Mia sitting beside her and gazing with worry while caressing her body from time to time, Master Shen sat at the edge of his pavilion in a lotus position and overlooked at the canal water.

Felix went closer to Mia and told her to be quiet and watched Krisha, while Mia herself ignored him. She was infuriated at her brother for knocking Krisha unconscious.

Felix didn’t mind. He proceeded to Master Shen and politely asked, "Can I sit beside you?"

Master Shen simply nodded.

Felix sat beside Master Shen in silence, gazing at the tranquil canal water that was lightly covered with unknown mist.

Felix wondered where the mist coming from when he realized that the mist was actually made out of water energy.

A mist energy? It’s possible.

He was shaken. To constantly produced the amount of mist energy that covered even the Mist Courtyard until Master Shen’s pavilion required an immense quantity of energy.

Only a Lord Beast Tamer could achieve it.

Felix was awestruck but kept his reaction to himself. However, Master Shen noticed the shift of his emotion and said, "It’s from my first beast pet. Doing this actually helps me breakthrough."

Felix nodded. "It’s really shocking, Master Shen. Not once I have thought a Lord could have this amount of energy. Do you feel exhausted?"

Master Shen shook his head. "Canal water lessen my energy consumption."

Felix nodded. He understood that every beast tamer has a specific environment where they would be stronger. For instance, a water element beast tamer like Master Shen himself could bring out a hundred percent of their strength when they would be fighting in the water.

After Master Shen showed how powerful he was as a Lord Beast Tamer motivated Felix to become a Lord Beast Tamer.

There was sa massive difference between a Commander Beast Tamer than a Lord Beast Tamer. If, at best, the former could project their energy to sharpen their sword, a Lord Beast Tamer could manifest a storm.

That also explained why reaching Lord rank was rarer.

After their brief conversation, Felix and Master Shen simply sat in silence for more than an hour, gazing at the canal water.

Finally, when Mia cried, Felix was startled and turned his head towards her.

Krisha was already awake. She sat up while reciprocating the tight embrace of Mia.

Krisha glanced at Felix and smiled. Felix beamed a smile, as well.

He returned his focus to staring at the canal water as he listened to Krisha comforting his younger sister.

Once Krisha had finally simmered down Mia, Master Shen stood up and turned around.

He said to Krisha, "I want to ask you."

Krisha gazed at Master Shen and nodded. "What is it, Master Shen?"

"Do you plan to establish a dojo?"

Krisha was stunned. It was completely out of her expectations.

After pondering for a while, she said, "Maybe, after I find my mother."

Master Shen was stunned. He nodded, nonetheless.

"Alright." He was silent for some time and finally said, "You can visit the dojo whenever."

He turned around and returned to his position, gazing at the canal water with a serene expression.

Krisha stared at Felix with eyes that has many questions.

Felix simply smiled and stood up. He bowed deeply and didn’t bid farewell to Master Shen.

He went to Krisha and Mia, asking them to finally leave the pavilion.

They proceeded to the Residential Wing. Along the way, Felix asked Krisha how she was.

Krisha responded, "I’m generally okay now... Physically." She stared at Felix with furrowed eyebrows and rolled her eyes as soon as she met his gaze.

Felix chuckled. He teased. "It’s 3-0 now."

"I know," said Krisha in a cold tone.

Felix laughed. Yet, his joy was cut briefly when Mia reprimanded him.

"It’s not funny to almost kill her!"

Krisha smiled bitterly. But I was far from being dead. I was just tired and defeated. Was what she wanted to say but couldn’t bear herself to do so.

Felix smiled bitterly, as well.

He turned towards Mia, who immediately turned her head away while pouting.

Felix said in a helpless tone, "Mia. Like I said Krisha was just knocked unconscious. It was part of the duel. Do you still even want to learn swords. Because learning sword also means being involved into such fight where you or your opponent gets injured heavily."
