Reigns’ head snapped toward the direction of the sound and his relaxed posture disappeared instantly.

He moved toward the source pushing past low bushes and uneven ground with quick steps.

As he got closer, a dreadful scene came into view. A small squad was being overwhelmed.

Three boys and two girls were scrambling in panic.

One of them had fallen and was trying to crawl back, his hands were shaking as he dragged himself across the ground. Another kept swinging wildly at the air, clearly panicked

Around them, grotesque rat-like creatures lunged and darted with terrifying speed.

[Lv1 Skitter Rat]

Their bodies were lean but muscular, with patches of mangy fur and sharp, exposed teeth. Their eyes glowed faintly, and their movements were erratic yet deadly.

Among them, two larger ones stood out.

[Lv2 Gnawfang Rat]

These were bigger, faster, and far more aggressive. Their claws dug into the ground as they circled the group, waiting for an opening like predators playing with their prey.

"Stay together!" one of the boys shouted whose voice was shaking as he tried to hold his ground.

"We’re going to die!" one of the girls cried, stumbling back as a rat lunged toward her, barely missing her leg.

Reigns observed the situation for a brief secondHe did not hesitate. Two glowing circles formed on the ground beside him.

"BLOOM!"

SWISHHH!

Two splash shooters emerged, and their plant bodies wriggled as they locked into position.

Reigns raised his hand and pointed forward.

"Fire!" 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

The next instant.

BANG! BANG!

Two compressed energy shots burst forward.

One of the Level 1 Skitter Rats leapt forward, but the shot slammed directly into its body.

CRACK!

It was thrown back violently.It’s body hitting the ground with bang.

The sudden impact froze the squad for a moment, their movements stopping as they stared in shock.

One of the shooters trembled slightly.

[Splash Shooter Lv1 → Lv2]

A faint glow passed through it as it leveled up, its form looking slightly more stable.

Before anyone could react further, the second shooter fired again.

THUMP!

This time, the shot flew past a dodging rat and struck the ground, scattering dirt.But that single attack was enough to draw aggro.

The two Lv2 Gnawfang Rats immediately turned their heads.

Their eyes locked onto Reigns and a low, threatening screech escaped their mouths.

Then they charged ahead at him with brutal speed.Thier claws tore the ground as they rushed forward.

"Again keep firing."

Reigns’ pupils shrank slightly as they closed the distance rapidly, but his stance remained firm.

"Again!" he ordered sharply.

Both shooters reacted instantly.

THUMP! THUMP!

Two energy orbs shot forward in quick succession.

The first Gnawfang Rat twisted its body mid-run and dodged the first shot cleanly.The second one also shifted, avoiding the first impact zone.

For a split second, it seemed like both attacks had missed.But the second orb followed right after.

The first rat dodged the initial shot, but the second one slammed directly into its side.

CRACK!

A tearing sound echoed as part of its body was ripped apart. It let out a sharp, painful screech, stumbling violently as blood splattered onto the ground.

Before it could recover, another shot followed immediately.

THUMP!

The impact wiped it off completely sending its broken body rolling across the ground before it went still.

Then,the second shooter vibrated.

Another one leveled up.

The remaining Gnawfang Rat slowed down, its movements no longer as confident as before. Its body tensed, and it hesitated for a brief moment, clearly wary now.

The squad stood frozen with their eyes wide opened as they stared at Reigns killing the monsters like a piece of cake.

For a moment, an intense stare conflict arose between Reigns and the remaining monster.

The brief silence did not last.

The remaining Gnawfang Rat suddenly let out a sharp, piercing screech, and its body tensed.

From the bushes and cracks in the ground around them, more movement followed.

Then they appeared in huge numbers giving Reigns a sudden fright.

Dozens of rats rushed out all at once, their glowing eyes locking onto Reigns as if he had become the center of their attention.

They came from multiple directions, surrounding the area and cutting off escape routes.

Reigns’ expression darkened as he took in the sight.

’Damn..I thought they would run away but it seems I pulled another aggro.’

He did not waste time to hold back as the situation has gone quite weary.

Another glowing circle appeared, and a third shooter emerged from the ground, its plant body wriggling as it rooted itself in place.

Now three shooters stood beside him.

Reigns raised his hand sharply.

Three energy shots burst forward in rapid succession.A Skitter Rat leapt forward, but it was struck mid-air and slammed into the ground.

Another tried to flank from the side, but a second shot hit its head, crushing it instantly.

The third orb tore through a charging Gnawfang Rat, ripping into its chest and sending it skidding across the ground.

Screeches filled the air as multiple rats were struck down.

The notifications kept appearing one after another as the shooters continued firing without pause.

Another Gnawfang Rat tried to dodge, but it was caught by a follow-up shot that tore its side open.

It collapsed immediately.

Reigns’ eyes lit up as one of them even went 3 but he didn’t have time.

The battlefield quickly turned chaotic. Dust rose, and the ground was stained as bodies dropped one after another.

The constant barrage pushed the rats back for a moment.

Then..

The notification flashed.

Reigns’ eyes flickered toward it, but what caught his attention was not just the level up.

It was the number of notifications stacking rapidly in front of him but with them were also rats.

His expression changed instantly.He turned towards the squad.

"What the hell are you watching?"

"Stop dazing around and help."

The squad froze, embrassed by the sudden shout which made grit his lips as he shouted again.

"Stop gawking and move."

"Yeah..ok.."

The group finally snapped out of their stunned state, jolting back into action.

One of the boys quickly raised his hand, and a faint glow gathered.

A moment later, an elemental spell burst forward, striking one of the incoming rats and slowing it down.

At the same time, one of the girls moved behind, her hands glowing softly as she began healing the injured member on the ground.

The remaining three boys tried to move forward and support.

But they were not ready.

One of them tripped over uneven ground, and before he could react, a Skitter Rat lunged and slammed into him.

Another was pushed back as a Gnawfang Rat swiped at him, sending him crashing to the side.

Their formation broke instantly.

Meanwhile, Reigns took advantage of the brief opening.He narrowed his eyes and raised his hand again.

"BLOOM!"

SWISH!

Another Lv1 shooter emerged from the ground, locking itself into place as its head turned toward the incoming swarm.
