Gravis' mind was going wild.

This was the moment!

If he failed, the remainder of his life would become a horrible nightmare.

If he succeeded, his life would still be worse than before, but he would have a chance to recover and achieve his goal.

At the moment, the five representatives were still fighting as the Twilight Council was close to appearing.

They had to keep the image of being a good and just person going. They were all working to keep the others here until the Twilight Council would arrive.

SHING!

Two people arrived close to the clash. Just like the dead Vice-Sect Master, these two people had half-black and half-white hair.

At this very moment, Gravis looked into the eyes of the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect.

From the very beginning, the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect hadn't moved once, except for the time he had killed the traitor.

While everyone else had gone crazy as soon as they noticed Gravis, he had just acted like nothing had happened.

Gravis was unsure what the Sect Master was thinking, but Gravis had to act now!

"I can't allow them to threaten my friends and family!" Gravis transmitted to the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect while using the Law of Honesty.

Gravis put his everything into these words. He knew that he had betrayed the Eternal Fire Sect, but there was simply no better alternative.

As long as the Eternal Fire Sect still existed, Gravis' friends and family weren't safe.

When Gravis transmitted these words, he immediately teleported away and charged into the distance.

The Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect followed Gravis with his perception.

Yet, an instant later, he looked away.

He didn't say a word, and he didn't look at Gravis anymore.

With every instant of not being stopped, Gravis felt more hopeful but also more nervous.

He now had an actual shot in leaving!

Gravis broke through the Formation Array, which didn't stop him since it had just been deactivated.

Then, Gravis transformed into lightning as he entered the domain of the wild Zero Blaze.

At the same time, the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect fell into memories.

Images of him killing people of his own Sect to protect himself shot through his mind.

The Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect abhorred traitors for exactly this reason. He had once betrayed his Sect to save his own life, and he had hated himself for that action.

He had been ridden with guilt, and he had regretted his actions dearly.

Sadly, it was impossible to make something that had happened unhappen.

He had noticed the difference in intent behind Gravis' actions and Star Lightning's actions.

Gravis' actions and feelings couldn't escape the eyes of such an experienced and powerful Cultivator, especially when he already knew a lot of True Emotional Laws.

Star Lightning's actions had hidden deep anger, resentment, and contempt.

In comparison, Gravis' actions had been filled with cold conviction, logic, and regret.

One was done out of desire, while another was done out of necessity.

It was the same action but with a different underlying reason.

So, even though the Sect Master hated traitors, he didn't stop Gravis.

Gravis' actions were the same as his actions in the past.

However, he also wouldn't help Gravis. After all, Gravis was still a traitor, and he disliked traitors.

He would simply watch on and not interfere.

Meanwhile, outside the Sect, Gravis was fighting against the Zero Blaze.

There seemingly were infinite snowflakes, and as soon as they touched something that wasn't Zero Blaze, they exploded with the power of a fully powered attack of a level nine Ancestral God.

If Gravis got hit by even one, he would be reduced to dust!

That was why Gravis had transformed into lightning. His normal body was too big and too cumbersome. He couldn't possibly avoid all the snow.

However, as lightning, Gravis was essentially only made of thin beams. On top of that, Void Lightning was essentially Energy, and it didn't have any kind of offensive power.

Gravis couldn't absorb the Zero Blaze, but Void Lightning also wouldn't trigger them. The Zero Blaze treated Gravis' Void Lightning as part of the atmosphere.

Gravis still had to be careful since he needed to use actual Energy to move forward, which required parts of his body to create force. That could trigger the Zero Blaze.

The Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect had been shocked when he had noticed that Gravis could transform into an unknown kind of lightning.

He had never seen anything like it.

It was quite hard to associate this bolt of lightning with a Cultivator, and if someone didn't know that Gravis could be a bolt of lightning, they would simply overlook it.

However, there was one problem.

The Zero Blaze reacted to any kind of Law that was activated near it, and it would create a violent series of explosions if it senses a Law.

Heavenly Lightning? Boom!

Blaze? Boom!

Space warping? Boom!

Teleportation? Boom!

And of course, that included…

Manipulating Reality? Boom!

Gravis couldn't use his Law of Perceived Reality while being surrounded by Zero Blaze. Because of that, he couldn't even hide his lightning.

The storm of Zero Blaze was a defensive barrier for the Lightning Peak Sect, and it certainly made it difficult to pass it.

Only two kinds of people could pass through it, the ones that knew the Law of Zero Blaze and Divine Gods.

This storm of Zero Blaze acted as a powerful filter for any potential spy or enemy.

At the moment, the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect was uncertain if Gravis could escape or not.

However, if he had to bet, he would place his money on no.

This area belonged to the Lightning Peak Sect, and they had their ways to comb their defensive storm of Zero Blaze.

If the area were smaller, Gravis could probably escape, but it wasn't.

Mortis had taken eight months to get through it, and Mortis had been moving faster than Gravis in his intangible state.

At Gravis' current speed, he would probably need two entire years to get through everything. If he could teleport, it would only take three days or so, but neither Mortis nor Gravis could teleport in here, slowing them down severely.

Gravis wasn't even close to being safe, and he wouldn't be for another two years.

Now, everything depended on how the search for him would go.

However, Gravis wasn't the only one in danger right now.

In the last couple of seconds, the atmosphere of the Lightning Peak Sect had changed.

Silver Seer and the representative of the True Life Sect stood at one side.

The representatives of the Lost Wood Sect, the Mortal Sect, and the Eternity Sect stood at the other side.

The Sect Master and Ancestor of the Twilight Council stood to the side in the middle between the two sides.

The Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect still stood in his assigned balcony in the arena.

The Twilight Council had arrived, and whoever got blamed for the death of their Vice-Sect Master would have to go through hell.
