Chapter 188: Chapter 187: Pah, Shameless

Good old Foster, he justified his selfish motives as selfless, claiming to help me deal with Henry Grant.

Pah, shameless!

Rosalind Sutton didn’t know what was going on in South Grant’s mind, and she brought up the blind date she had with Nathan Foster. With a smile still on her face, she didn’t hold back and said to South Grant:

"I was initially quite resistant to the idea of a family-arranged blind date, but on the way, I encountered child traffickers. They were so brazen they already shoved the child into a car. I saw someone chasing the car, and by himself, he stopped that car. Four or five traffickers surrounded him, but he came out unscathed. In frustration, one trafficker angrily threw the child into the middle of the road. At that time, traffic was heavy, and he leapt over the railing, snatching the kid back with a few jumps and saving him."

South Grant listened to Rosalind’s story and asked in a daze:

"Miss Sutton, you’re not talking about my uncle, are you?"

"That’s right, it’s your uncle." Rosalind smiled and continued, "Later, your uncle was delayed because of this event and never made it to the blind date. When I got home, my grandpa asked if I was satisfied with the blind date? I told him I was. Despite your uncle not having met me at the time, I made up my mind to win him over."

Rosalind spoke candidly, but South Grant felt uneasy.

It was as if his toy was suddenly desired by someone else. He didn’t really like the toy, but the feeling of someone else coveting it was incredibly unpleasant.

Rosalind shrugged her shoulders and continued:

"Unfortunately, your uncle is as cold as a stone and completely rejected my advances. After a few more meals together, he remained indifferent, never showing any interest in me, so I gave up."

At this point, Rosalind laughed mischievously and said:

"But I wasn’t at a loss. Even though I didn’t win your uncle over, he agreed that if I ever needed help in the future, he’d be there without question."

South Grant secretly cursed Nathan Foster, causing such romantic chaos while not allowing him to interact with Chester Lynch. Talk about double standards.

"So, there’s this story between Miss Sutton and my uncle. That’s truly fate."

"Fate, yes, but no destiny. I’m still curious, what kind of person could win him over? Both families thought it would work out, but your uncle deliberately acted heartbroken to curb your grandfather’s expectations. He made me cooperate by telling your grandfather that I dumped him and that he was too hurt to consider a relationship, thus avoiding arranged dates. Because of him, my own grandpa chased me around the house scolding me for days."

South Grant was dumbfounded, not expecting Nathan Foster to have a history of being chased for blind dates by his grandfather.

Thinking of him pretending to be heartbroken, South Grant found it amusing.

"My uncle is full of tricks; Grandpa is no match for him," South Grant said sincerely.

"I could see that. Initially, I was attracted to his sense of justice, but the more I got to know him, I realized Nathan Foster just wasn’t right for me." Rosalind said as she had already moved on from that secret crush and gained much more clarity.
