Limited Time Marriage: Nice to Meet You Mr. Foster
Chapter 211 - 210: Overwhelmed by Concern
Nathan Foster glanced at Chester Lynch and asked in a calm voice, "Can you walk on your own?"
"I can, thank you, Mr. Foster." Chester Lynch was in a very sorry state at this time.
Nathan Foster nodded and was about to go back inside.
The thick smoke and intense heat that ordinary people couldn’t withstand, he could endure.
This was part of his regular training.
As Nathan Foster was about to go back in, he saw Ivan Keller carrying someone out.
Upon seeing Ivan Keller again, Nathan Foster couldn’t help but frown.
"What are you doing here? Where’s South?"
Seeing Nathan Foster safe, Ivan Keller finally heaved a sigh of relief.
"As long as you’re okay, Sir. I didn’t see you come out, so I thought you were trapped inside, and I went in. I’ve already let Young Master Grant leave first."
Nathan Foster’s heart sank when he heard this.
Without a second thought, he turned and rushed back in.
He knew South Grant’s character all too well.
Usually playful, yet inherently kind and upright.
With so many students trapped inside, how could she stand by and do nothing?
Nathan Foster shouted loudly as he went in, "South Grant, where are you?"
Due to his anxiety, Nathan Foster inhaled some of the thick smoke and coughed but kept searching.
"Uncle..." A hoarse voice came through; Nathan Foster knew the smoke had damaged her voice.
He followed the sound and saw someone who looked very much like South Grant, with something draped over her head, clearly signaling for help.
Nathan Foster ran over, and it took all his strength to even speak as he reached her.
He picked her up in his arms and headed out, while a red-hot iron rod fell, hitting him on the back as he shielded the person in his arms.
Leon retched, ready to pass out, but he pushed through the pain, continuing onward.
Finally, he made it out.
After setting the person in his arms down, he grasped her trembling hand and removed what was draped over her head.
"It’s okay, it’s okay..."
Nathan Foster’s words came to an abrupt halt.
This wasn’t South Grant!
This was Fiona Grant!
Nathan Foster broke out in a cold sweat instantly.
Hearing the uncle-like sound from before, he had lost his ability to think.
He thought it was her.
But it turned out to be Fiona Grant.
"Uncle, it hurts, my back got burned..."
Fiona Grant cried in pain, but Nathan Foster didn’t hear a word.
The swirling thick smoke and the raging fire meant that staying inside any longer would be life-threatening!
Nathan Foster left Fiona Grant behind, turning back in again.
Ivan Keller stopped him, "Sir, you’re injured!"
Nathan Foster paid no heed and rushed back in.
Ivan Keller could only grit his teeth and follow him.
Once inside, Nathan Foster heard the muffled cries and screams for help.
It’s not that he was cold-blooded.
In such circumstances, saving one more person would mean giving up on South Grant.
Nathan Foster was completely torn.
"South... South... cough, cough... South Grant!"
Ivan Keller had come in and couldn’t ignore the cries for help he heard.
Ivan Keller went over, while Nathan Foster continued his search inside.
Most of the students had already been rescued and taken out.
Only Wendy Lynch and South Grant remained.
When Nathan Foster was about to move further inside, Ivan Keller shouted:
"Sir, they’re here!"
Nathan Foster’s heart jolted as he followed Ivan Keller’s voice, finding South Grant lying on the ground while Wendy Lynch, still conscious, covered South’s nose and mouth with a damp cloth.
Wendy Lynch’s throat was almost too hoarse to make a sound, while South Grant lay motionless.
