Living With My Yandere Professor
Chapter 103: Need A Goal
After the past, Andrew started continuously avoiding Elena, and he found that not much had changed in their daily lives.
Scarlett remained cold and serious at school, and Andrew was the same as usual.
Perhaps they hadn’t been much different from a real couple even before.
It was just that Scarlett seemed to urge Andrew’s studies even more strictly.
During class on Monday, she directly demanded that Andrew move to the first row to listen to her lecture.
In her words, they couldn’t slack off just because of their relationship; studying was still paramount.
Andrew could only accept helplessly, thinking he would be free after passing the College English Test Band 4.
On Tuesday, Andrew took a leave of absence, called Hannah, and went to negotiate a long-term contract with the people from Tony Driving School, securing 20,000 in funds and earning his first pot of gold.
Although Scarlett didn’t care about the 10,000 she had lent him, he still returned it to her that evening. He had promised to repay what he borrowed.
It wasn’t until Wednesday that Andrew finally had time to truly rest.
In Charles’s specialized course, Andrew lay down on his desk to rest.
Seeing Andrew looking so lazy and about to sleep, Ethan couldn’t help but ask, "Andy, what have you been up to lately? You’re often missing, you don’t even play games, and you look exhausted to death. Don’t tell me you have kidney deficiency, do you?"
"You’re the one with kidney deficiency, Dog bastard!" Andrew shot Ethan a look.
A man could fail in many things, but never in his kidneys. Accusing someone else of kidney deficiency was a huge insult to him.
However, if there was a cure for kidney deficiency, that would be a different story.
After speaking, Andrew yawned and whispered, "Your father is handling matters of great importance; I’m not like you, loafing around all day."
"Heh, ’handling matters of great importance,’ are you? I don’t even need to guess; you Dog bastard must have dumped all the work of running the website onto others."
Ethan didn’t know much else, but he was clear about Andrew’s true nature, a classic swindler, a master of deceit, and secretly cunning.
"You don’t know anything. As the boss, I naturally handle the overall strategy and decision-making. How can I deal with those trivial matters?"
Saying that, Andrew slumped onto his desk, "I’m going to sleep for a bit. Call me if Charles comes down."
"Uh..."
After spending the day idly, Andrew returned home with Scarlett in the evening.
Full of energy, Andrew was just about to playfully seek a hug from Professor Scarlett.
"Scar, I want a hug." But what greeted him was Scarlett’s cold and stern face.
"Don’t come any closer, stand still!"
"Yes!"
Andrew immediately stood straight, not daring to move an inch. He was trying to figure out what he had done that day to make Scarlett angry again.
But he hadn’t even gone to find Scarlett all day. She had been teaching other classes. Surely she wouldn’t take out her anger on him because some other student annoyed her, right?
Impossible, impossible. Professor Scarlett wouldn’t be unreasonable.
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck in Andrew’s mind!
Massaka!
Did she find his secret?
Thinking of this, Andrew instantly felt a chill down his spine, and his mind raced, figuring out how to beg for her forgiveness.
"Why were you sleeping in class again?" Scarlett questioned coldly.
Andrew, who was extremely tense, froze: "Huh? Sleeping?"
"Weren’t you sleeping in Professor Charles’s class again today? He even noticed it."
"Oh, it was about sleeping. Then it’s fine, it’s fine."
Andrew let out a long sigh of relief, his face showing utter relief.
But this made Scarlett even angrier: "What do you mean it’s fine! Do you know Professor Charles has a very bad impression of you now? He went to your Counselor again today. If there’s a next time, your eligibility for the final exam will be canceled."
"No, no, I didn’t mean I don’t care."
Andrew quickly explained, secretly grumbling under his breath, ’Damn it, I wasn’t even snoring today, why is she still picking on me?’
"Then why were you sleeping in class?"
"Well... because I’ve been quite tired these past two days. Didn’t I go negotiate a contract yesterday?"
Andrew scratched the back of his head and explained with a smile, "Mainly, the things taught in this specialized course are useless."
It could be said that the theoretical knowledge in the Finance Department was completely useless, or at least not very useful. It wasn’t just Andrew, a freshman, who felt this way; Hannah strongly agreed.
But Scarlett wouldn’t listen to his explanation, "Then let me ask you, did you need the Math, Physics, and Chemistry you learned in high school later on?"
"No, I didn’t."
"But you still studied them diligently. Why is it that now that you’re in college, I have to supervise you to listen properly in class? Are you attending class for me?"
"..."
Andrew lowered his head in silence, ’Why does this sound so familiar?’
Seeing Andrew silently bowing his head, Scarlett stopped after criticizing him for a while. "Come to study. I’ll help you check your Macroeconomics notes and classic examples."
"Ah? Sister, you know economics too?"
"I am the Teacher in your department. There’s nothing I don’t know. Hurry up and come here. Also, starting tonight, you must go to sleep by ten o’clock, and you are forbidden from dozing off in class anymore."
"Okay."
Andrew obediently agreed.
Looking at the stern Scarlett, Andrew sighed in his heart, ’Why does Professor Scarlett feel more and more like my mom? She won’t even let me stay up late.’
Sigh—
—
Scarlett sighed helplessly watching Andrew’s listless appearance while studying.
She had seen many college students like Andrew who studied hard in high school only to indulge themselves once they entered university.
They either holed up in their dorms addicted to gaming or were busy dating, completely losing the motivation to study properly.
The reason was simple: in high school, they had the clear goal of the college entrance examination right in front of them, but without a clear objective in college, they naturally lacked much drive to study.
Since Andrew also had to manage an app and a website for his startup, he naturally didn’t have much focus left for his studies.
Thinking of this, Scarlett suddenly had an idea.
Since this Little Fellow lacked a goal, I will give him one.
"Little Drew, review hard before the midterm exams..."
Before Scarlett could finish speaking, Andrew suddenly turned to look at her and asked, "Scar, what did you just call me?"
"Little Drew? What’s wrong? Is there a problem?"
"No, no."
Andrew quickly denied it, then grinned, "It sounds good when you call me that. By the way, what were you about to say?"
This address was actually something Scarlett called out subconsciously.
Previously, she always called Andrew by his name, but now that they were together, calling him by his name felt a bit inappropriate, and calling him something else felt awkward. Since Andrew was younger than her, adding ’Little’ to call him Little Drew was quite fitting.
"I told you to review hard before the midterm exams. If you do well in all subjects, there will be a reward," Scarlett continued.
Upon hearing this, the listlessness vanished from Andrew’s face, and he instantly became excited, "What reward!?"
"I can’t say yet. Just review hard. I promise you will like it."
"Deal! I guarantee I’ll pass all the subjects in the midterms."
A mere exam couldn’t stump him!
