Chapter 67: Food Tester Suzanne

After breakfast, Andrew needed to go to the university. He wanted to take advantage of the current holiday to settle some matters regarding the Luna app; once the semester started, he wouldn’t have as much free time.

Scarlett returned inside; she also had her own things to do.

She first sent a message to Suzanne, asking, "Are you free?"

"Yes, what’s up?"

"Come to my place. I’m treating you to a meal."

"Huh? Treating me to a meal at this hour?"

Suzanne was momentarily confused. Was this supposed to be breakfast or lunch? And why was the invitation to Scarlett’s house instead of going out?

But Scarlett simply asked again, "Are you coming or not?"

"Sister Scar, I’m coming right now."

Seeing that Suzanne agreed, Scarlett opened a yellow delivery platform and bought some ingredients to be delivered to her doorstep.

She was determined to practice her cooking skills, and since she was going to practice, she definitely needed a taste tester.

Scarlett felt it wasn’t quite right to let Andrew be the tester; it would be too much of an ordeal for him. And she can’t harm her little fellow.

It was more appropriate to let Suzanne do it. Anyway, that girl ate all sorts of random things.

A short while later, Suzanne arrived at Scarlett’s home. Upon learning she was to eat dishes cooked by Scarlett herself, she almost wanted to run away, but in the end, she stayed under the other’s pressure.

While waiting, Suzanne’s gaze noticed the men’s slippers at the entrance again.

"Sister Scar, is the person living with you Andrew from our class?"

Scarlett thought about trying to deflect or fool her again, but then decided it was unnecessary. Since the other party had already said his name, she must already know a lot.

Instead, she directly explained the reason, "He wasn’t allocated a dormitory spot, and he’s my mentor’s son, so I’m looking after him for my mentor."

She wasn’t lying. Initially, she had accepted Andrew living with her because he was the son of her mentor, Alexa.

"Eeeeh~~~ Why does that sound like an excuse to me?"

"Believe it or not. I’m just looking after him for my mentor," Scarlett replied coldly.

Suzanne’s tone returned to normal as she said seriously, "Sister Scar, to be honest, given your personality, how could you possibly give Andrew special care just because he’s Professor Alexa’s son?"

"I haven’t given him any particularly special care, have I?" Scarlett said indifferently.

"You haven’t? Not to mention giving him your own car to drive, you even allowed him to rest on your office desk. You’re often seen with him and haven’t treated him with any distance or coldness at all. If that’s not special care, what is?"

"All of those... are quite reasonable, aren’t they?"

Suzanne got excited as she listened. "How is that reasonable! I think you just like him and simply refuse to admit it!"

Scarlett fell silent and didn’t answer.

"See! You’re admitting it by default."

Scarlett’s lips moved, and after a moment of preparation, she slowly spoke the two most unsolvable words in the world, "You guess."

"Aaaah!!!" Suzanne’s wails echoed throughout the house. This feeling of the truth being right before her eyes yet being unable to grasp it was even more painful than being roasted over a fire.

After a long time, once she had calmed down, Suzanne analyzed again, "Actually, I think Andrew clearly likes you too. Last time..."

Just as Suzanne was about to continue her reasoning, she was interrupted by Scarlett, "With your logical skills, you’d better not try to reason. First, try the broccoli I made."

Looking at the broccoli that seemed to still be raw, Suzanne swallowed hard, "Can I not eat it?"

"No, you promised."

After Andrew arrived at the university, he met Mark Vane in the library.

"Stop reading. How is the campus e-sports page I asked you to make coming along?"

"Boss, there’s no rush. It’s the holidays, after all. I’m currently researching literature. Once I’ve finished my research, you won’t even need to hire a copywriter anymore; I can do it myself."

Andrew’s eyebrows twitched upon hearing this. "You don’t have a damn bit of literary talent."

"What kind of talk is that? My literary accomplishment is very high, okay?"

Upon hearing that, Andrew directly reached out and pointed at an open webpage title on Mark Vane’s computer. "You’re telling me ’The Impotent Husband’ is fucking literature?"

Mark Vane coughed a little awkwardly. "Boss, I was actually just checking materials on a pirated website, but I accidentally saw this article and couldn’t resist my curiosity, so I clicked in to read it."

Andrew patted Mark Vane’s shoulder, "Senior, you need to learn to say no to bad temptations. This is not only harmful to your body, but it also affects work efficiency and the company’s development."

"Company? Do we have a company?"

"Of course, I am the Chairman, and you are one of the founding members."

When Mark Vane heard this, he immediately felt a surge of motivation, "Yes, Boss, I will definitely work hard."

"Mm, good job."

"But Boss, I have one more unreasonable request."

"Let’s talk about money later. The company is just starting out, and I’m having a hard time too," Andrew frowned, revealing his helplessness while also displaying a bit of the authority of a person in power.

"It’s not about money."

"Then what is it?"

Mark Vane paused for a moment and lowered his voice, "It’s just that the websites I use for ’studying’ seem to be inaccessible. Boss, do you have any others?"

"Studying?" Andrew froze for a moment, then realized, and his little face immediately turned pale.

Andrew coughed lightly and replied seriously, "Cough, I am a proper person, I don’t have that kind of stuff."

"Boss, you must know that from a biological perspective, appropriate release is beneficial for relieving stress. This is human nature; we are all men, we should all understand."

Mark Vane looked helpless. If he had ’study materials,’ would he resort to reading junk articles on those broken advertisements?

Andrew’s mouth twitched a couple of times, "Fine, I only have one website. Don’t tell anyone else. If too many people know, it might disappear someday."

"Thank you, Boss."

"Watch less, work more."

"Yes!"

Andrew had other things to do and left the library.

After he left, Mark Vane logged into the website and found that the collection was shared. Out of curiosity, he clicked on it.

"Good heavens! It’s all ’Jade Feet’!"

After leaving the library, Andrew walked to the school’s Entrepreneurship Street.

In reality, this place was just a general street with bubble tea shops, small supermarkets, barbershops, and so on. Some were opened by entrepreneurial university students, but most were privately owned.

Because it was vacation, many storefronts were closed, and the street was sparsely populated, appearing somewhat deserted.

Andrew walked into a bubble tea shop that had few customers.

There were only two people inside: a girl who was boredly playing with her phone, and Dicky, who had been the campus heartthrob for a week.
