Magus Supremacy
Chapter 1023: Rain Chaos (5)
Chapter 1023
Bang—! Boom—!
Crash—! Thud—!
Clang—! Tchaaak—!
Roarrr—!
The chaotic sound of battle still persisted and didn’t seem like it would be dying down anytime soon.
And it wouldn’t.
Because on both sides, they still had hundreds of thousands of active men left who were rigorously fighting with absolutely all they had.
The zodiacs still remained positioned in the background, entirely unmoving and only choosing to scan the area in deep thought, patiently waiting for the precise moment when they would launch their own attack.
"I’m sorry I’m speaking out of turn, but when exactly are we getting our chance to attack?" Vince questioned as he turned his head to look at Gustav, who was still seated calmly on his metal throne.
"..."
The man didn’t rush to reply for a few long moments as a dark smile curved his lips.
"Oh? You are genuinely eager to clash with your friends?"
"Ex... ex-friends."
"Hm. Interesting."
"It shouldn’t be shocking. I’m highly eager to show them exactly what I have achieved in just a few months of being under your guidance. I want to make them clearly see that they made a massive mistake by going against our cause."
Lucien turned to look at the young boy for a few seconds.
No discernable expression was on his face as he gazed at him significantly longer than he should have. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Then, he turned away while quietly uttering:
"Are you entirely sure you are ready to go against him? Remember, I was right there during the academy tournament when he actively risked his true identity just to save you from the clutches of your own brother."
"..."
"Then he disappeared completely afterward without caring about any of us. So yeah, I’m absolutely ready."
Gustav smirked, then chuckled loudly at the exchange.
"Great. Just wait for a few more moments. I’m still closely observing something on the field."
....
"Hey, Grey. The battle has been going on for a while now. When exactly are we moving in?" Viktor questioned, his hand resting on his weapon.
"Exactly. The physical effect of your motivational speech won’t last forever," Sol added calmly from the side.
Grey turned to look at the girl for several seconds, analyzing her posture.
"Are you even fully prepared? Shouldn’t you be actively placing your tactical traps right now?" Grey asked with a slight frown appearing on his face.
Sol scoffed at the question.
"What exactly do you think I have been doing for the past three months? Since we didn’t know the precise coordinates where the attack would be taking place, I have been moving all around the entire Kingdom, setting complex traps at every potential location, including Kiten. So yes, I’m perfectly ready."
Grey then sighed softly.
His gaze drifted down to his massive lightning sword in his hand, which was still incredibly active, crackling violently with lethal energy.
"Fine then," he muttered coldly and then lifted the glowing sword high above his head.
Blue arcs of lightning ran across its metallic surface rapidly as his gaze hardened to flint.
Without a single shred of hesitation, he hauled the massive sword forward, sending a colossal slash of pure lightning bursting out with full force.
It cleaved directly into the solid ground on its rapid trajectory toward the enemy ranks.
Within a fraction of a second, it crashed into the midst of over a hundred men, separating them from their torsos and also tearing through the earth, ripping a deep, smoking trench into the terrain.
Thick dust billowed high into the air for a few seconds, completely obscuring the view of the waiting Zodiacs and Gustav.
"Go. But be incredibly careful not to prematurely expend yourselves," Grey ordered firmly.
Grim determination coursed through the veins of the entire elite group and soon enough, they all surged forward with full speed, ready to completely tilt the unstable balance of the war in their favor.
"Ha! This will be absolute fun!" Rivock and Killian shouted out in perfect unison as they darted forward with rapid velocity along with the others.
The exact moment the dust cleared, even more intense chaos ensued immediately across the field.
Powerful magic, heavy swords, and all sorts of specialized weapons descended all around the enemy forces.
Thalos was the absolute first to reach the enemy vanguard before anybody else, and almost immediately, the enemy forces deeply regretted his terrifying presence.
His massive greatsword elongated far beyond what it naturally should have, looking precisely like a legendary sword wielded by ancient giants.
It was hauled around in a wide arc, and immediately, two hundred heads shot high into the air before their limp bodies crashed into the earth in heavy, wet thuds.
A pack of heavy beasts darted directly toward his direction, but before they could even reach his position, he was gone again like a ghost.
He blurred across the battlefield, cleanly cleaving heads before the enemy could properly react to his movements.
Meanwhile, the remaining beasts that had been charging directly at the gargoyle earlier suddenly found their entire surroundings turning completely pitch black.
It was as if night had already instantly descended upon that specific section of the battlefield.
But unfortunately for them, it wasn’t nighttime at all.
A true demon had descended upon the battlefield, and the oppressive darkness was a direct manifestation of his specialized magic affinity.
The terrifying affinity of Shadows.
With each step he took, shadow portals appeared all around the beasts, and from their dark depths, crackling lightning arrows could be seen peeking out.
With a swift click of his tongue, Kael sent the arrows lunging forward with a clamorous bang.
The projectiles ripped directly through their limbs, causing blood to spray into the air and keeping them thoroughly immobilized immediately.
Soon after, a thunderous roar of flames burst out as a red-haired female could be seen descending from above like a vengeful comet.
BAM!
She crashed directly into the head of a massive wolf that Kael had already immobilized.
Intense flames burst out from her hands immediately, engulfing the beast’s head as the raw force of her descent drove the creature deeper into the earth, which had now split apart in a deep, jagged fissure.
Simultaneously, condensed balls of high-pressure water burst out from Charlotte’s hands, smashing into the abdomen and faces of the oncoming enemy forces, sending them sliding backward in pain.
In retaliation, multiple water projectiles were launched her way from the mages of the enemy force.
Before they could reach her position, a shimmering, translucent bubble materialized all around her figure.
The incoming attacks landed with a dull thud, barely cracking the protective surface of the bubble.
"Gravity magic: Graviole!"
The air grew immensely heavy around twenty enemy warriors, causing them to smash violently into the ground headfirst.
A massive chasm burst out beneath them as the men found themselves entirely unable to lift a single finger, let alone their bodies.
They were driven flat into the earth as the crushing pressure around their bodies increased by the second.
With a sharp swing of his hands, Viktor increased the pressure exponentially, completely neutralizing the group of warriors in an instant as the overwhelming gravitational force crushed their defenses entirely.
Swoosh! Swoosh!
With a fluid swing of her twin swords, Alba sent a few crimson slashes bursting forth with full speed, cleaving directly into the mages on the enemy side.
Sidestepping a sudden spear strike from a vanguard soldier, she bashed her knee into the man’s side before swinging her sword cleanly into his neck.
His stage four ki wasn’t about to protect him from Alba’s superior stage seven power.
The sword sliced through the defense cleanly, ending the threat instantly.
