Chapter 1029

Dante, Lyra, Max, and Leo were standing before Zodiac Six, who was suddenly changing visually.

His feet had shifted into wolf-like paws, and even his hands had become razor-sharp claws.

His eyes turned a shade brighter.

Fangs jutted out of his mouth as he looked at the four who had chosen him as an opponent.

"Really? What’s with everybody turning into beasts nowadays?!" Leo commented with a frown on his face.

"... He’s not a beast," Max commented with a scowl as blue arcs of lightning were running up and down his frame.

"He is borrowing a trait from a beast," Lyra added as the wind was whooshing around her.

"Which means he ate a wolf before coming to fight. That’s his magical affinity," Dante chimed in as the ground was rumbling softly beneath his feet.

’Oh.’

Bang!

Zodiac Six darted forward, blurring into motion and becoming faster than a standard wolf itself.

"Awhooo!" He howled loudly as he closed the distance and appeared before Leo in the blink of an eye.

The Otherworlder’s claws slashed forward with blazing speed.

Yet, Leo countered as his cane snapped in place, blocking the blow by the skin of his teeth.

However, due to being one-handed, the force of the strike sent him sliding backward as he was unable to support the block with his other hand.

But then, Zodiac Six’s second claw slashed forward with blistering speed.

Leo wouldn’t be able to block in time.

He knew it.

But he didn’t have to, as Dante manipulated the earth, allowing for a wall to rise between Leo and the approaching claw.

Shockingly, Zodiac Six’s claws ripped straight through the wall, causing it to crumble to the ground like a stack of cards.

Dante was stunned for a second as he watched his wall falling.

’Ho—how is this possible? The...’ His eyes narrowed as he spotted a gleaming liquid dripping from the claw that had sliced into his defense.

’Acid? Damn it! This is going to become tough...’

The wind howled and shaped itself into a dozen swords that were instantly fired toward the Otherworlder with roaring speed.

However, Zodiac Six began weaving in between the swords like they were nothing.

He avoided each and every one of them with rapid velocity, allowing for the swords to crash into the earth, digging deep fissures into the terrain.

Ducking under a slash from Leo’s slender sword, he lunged forward with a punch toward the man’s abdomen.

Before this could happen, the earth surged upward as a massive earthen fist rocketed toward the Otherworlder.

Quickly leaping to the side, Zodiac Six managed to avoid the fist just in time as it crashed into the ground, instantly turning it into a wide crater.

Crackle! Zap!

A ball of lightning was sent flying toward the Otherworlder with—well, lightning speed.

Zodiac Six immediately twisted around and then angled his whole body backward with feline grace, allowing for the ball of lightning to pass over his body by a wide margin while he watched its crackling depths.

The moment the ball passed by his body, he immediately snapped to his feet only to be smashed in the face by a huge gale of wind that sent him staggering backward in disorientation.

Leo swirled Ki around his feet and pounced forward immediately with blazing speed.

His sword swiped and sheared through the air in rapid strikes, seeking an opening of flesh where it could lodge itself.

But Zodiac Six was avoiding each and every one of the strikes with uncanny agility.

He was light and quick on his feet, allowing him to evade the onslaught completely.

Rumbling could be felt running through the earth.

With sudden, feline quickness, he leaped into the air just in time as sharp spikes burst out from the ground wanting to tear into him.

Mid-air, the clouds crackled with thunderous force, causing his head to snap upward for a second.

BANG!

A huge pillar of lightning crashed down with breakneck speed, shocking the Otherworlder for a moment.

"Oh boy... this gonna hurt."

BAM! BOOOM!

The pillar clobbered into him with devastating force as sparks of electricity were thrown in all directions.

....

Viktor, Sol, Charlotte, and Gunther stood before Zodiac Seven, who was looking at them with a bored expression on his face.

Looking around the battlefield, he could see the others engaged in a rigorous exchange that seemed quite interesting.

Gunther looked at the mages beside him for a moment as ki surged through his body in waves.

"Back me."

Bang!

Gunther launched forward with lightning speed as his hands reached behind him, grabbing a hold of one of his curved blades.

In a jiffy, he was before the Zodiac as he immediately pulled out the sword and swung it forward with all his might.

Zodiac Seven wasn’t even looking his way at that moment, as he was watching Orion fight with a dark gleam in his eyes.

It was the sudden rush of air that caused him to snap his head around to see the sword an inch away from his head.

Clang—!

The sword struck through to its target, but to everybody’s shock, it didn’t rip through flesh like it should.

Instead, it struck something incredibly solid.

Peering closer, Gunther could finally make out what it was.

It was... bone?

"Bone manipulation magic..." Zodiac Seven whispered as he glared at Gunther, who still had a stumped look on his face.

"Richew...."

Immediately, chains of bones burst into existence and quickly lashed toward the stage seven warrior with blazing speed.

The chains had small spikes embedded on them as they rushed toward the warrior.

Gunther quickly regained composure and was about to lunge into motion in order to deflect the attack.

"Gravity magic: Graviole!" Viktor shouted as he pointed his hand forward.

Instantly, the pressure around the spiked chains grew massively as they veered off course and crashed into the earth, plowing through it and causing dust to get kicked up into the air.

Zodiac Seven turned his head slightly to look at who had just disrupted his attack this way.

’Hm. Interesting. Maybe I won’t be bored after all,’ he remarked inwardly as he could see Charlotte and Sol charging toward him as fast as they could.
