Married For Now
Chapter 253: CHO EUNTAK’S FIRST LOVE
"ME IS WOE."
Pfft.
Cho Euntak couldn’t help but smile while watching Kim Woochul emote while drinking a bottle of orange juice.
Is he pretending to be an adult drowning in alcohol because of a broken heart?
That was cute.
"What’s wrong, Chul-ah?" Cho Euntak asked curiously. "Why do you look sad?"
Since Cho Euntak had just finished submitting his manuscript for the first ever coloring books for adults that he created— featuring the top tourist spots in Korea like the Namsan Tower— he had free time.
Hence, he went on a ’date’ with Park Sohee and his hyung’s children.
Right now, they were hanging out in a newly opened bread store that also served coffee and cold drinks.
Kim Woosung and Kim Woohee were still busy choosing bread with Park Sohee.
That was why only Cho Euntak and Park Sohee were at the table.
"Uncle Euntak, I realized I love Dada more than I love Gunwoo Hyung."
Pfft.
First of all, yes— Park Sohee’s children addressed him as ’uncle.’
Because they see me as Sohee Hyung’s younger brother.
Anyway, Cho Euntak thought how cute it was that Kim Woochul was experiencing ’heartbreak’ at such a tender age. But he didn’t show it because he didn’t want the child to think that he was invalidating his feelings.
I mean, yes, Kim Woochul is still too young for love— but it doesn’t mean his feelings aren’t real.
A puppy love was still love, after all.
"That’s why I won’t follow Gunwoo Hyung to the U.S," Kim Woochul said, sighing again. "I’ll stay with Dada and Mama forever."
Aigoo.
"Your filial piety is admirable, Chul-ah."
"Filial piety?" Kim Woochul asked curiously, perfectly pronouncing a word that he had just heard for the first time. The kid was really smart. "What does it mean, Uncle?"
"It’s the virtue of exhibiting love and respect for your parents," Cho Euntak explained in the simplest way possible. "That means you’re being a good son to Sohee Hyung and Heedo Hyung."
Yes, Cho Euntak now addressed as Kim Heedo as ’hyung’ instead of ’sunbae-nim.’
Heedo Hyung is still a little wary of me because I’m an Alpha.
Yeah, it was illogical.
But I’m already used to it since Heedo Hyung sees everyone and anyone as a rival who wants to snatch Sohee Hyung away from him.
It must be exhausting living like that.
But Heedo Hyung looks happy and content with his life anyway.
"I’m a good son," Kim Woochul said, beaming. "I’m also a good older brother to Sung-ah and Hee-ya."
"I know," Cho Euntak said, smiling while nodding. "You’re a good kid, Chul-ah. That’s why I’m sure you’ll find a new love when you grow older."
"Uncle, I’m not going to find a new love."
"Huh?"
"I’m going to find Gunwoo Hyung once I’m old enough to get married," Kim Woochul said cheerfully. "I only decided to give up for now because I’m still Dada and Mama’s baby. But once I’m an adult, I’m going to pursue Gunwoo Hyung~"
Pfft.
Chul-ah is an Omega, but he’s as assertive as an Alpha when it comes to love. I guess it only goes to show that Chul-ah is really Heedo Hyung’s son.
"But your age difference with Song Gunwoo..."
"Hmm?" Kim Woochul turned to Cho Euntak with big, innocent eyes. "What about my age gap with Gunwoo Hyung, Uncle?"
Was Song Gunwoo six or seven years older than Kim Woochul?
Of course, it wouldn’t matter anymore once both kids became adults, especially if the two of them would spend time apart from each other.
However...
That means Song Gunwoo might find himself a lover before Chul-ah becomes an adult.
"What is it, Uncle?"
"Nothing," Cho Euntak said while shaking his head. He didn’t have the heart to break Kim Woochul’s heart, after all. "I’ll be cheering you on, Chul-ah."
"Thank you, Uncle," Kim Woochul said, and then he paused. "Uncle Euntak, can you tell me about your first love?"
My first love, huh?
Of course, that would be Baek Jeho.
But...
"My first love isn’t really a good person," Cho Euntak said, smiling quite sadly. "And he caused me a lot of heartache."
And that brought Cho Euntak back to his high school days...

"DON’T you think an Alpha dating another Alpha is weird?"
Cho Euntak flinched when he heard what one of his classmates said during their break.
He had his head buried in the book that he was reading, but he was actually listening to the conversation of the boys behind him.
Well, he wasn’t really interested in what they were talking about.
I’m just interested in Baek Jeho’s opinion.
"Baek Jeho, an Alpha confessed to you yesterday, right?"
Cho Euntak’s ears perked up while waiting for Baek Jeho’s response.
"Yeah. What about it?"
"You rejected the kid, don’t you?"
"Of course, I did. I’m an Alpha."
At that point, Cho Euntak’s feelings were conflicted. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
I’m happy that Baek Jeho confessed the kid who confessed to him, but I don’t like his tone. Like being with another Alpha disgusts him.
"You did well, Baek Jeho. It’s disgusting to see two Alphas together."
Cho Euntak knew he should keep his mouth shut, but he couldn’t help but scoff loudly.
He knew the boys behind him heard him because they suddenly stopped talking.
Moreover...
Their gazes could bore a hole in the back of my head.
"What’s with that reaction, Cho Euntak?"
"Do you have something you want to say to us?"
None of those people was Baek Jeho.
But I can tell Baek Jeho is looking at me.
Whew.
Here goes nothing.
Cho Euntak got up and faced his classmates.
Four boys surrounded Baek Jeho who was sitting on his seat like the ’boss Alpha’ that he was.
He’s our class boss.
After all, Baek Jeho was the tallest, strongest, richest, and the most handsome Alpha in class.
Actually, in the entire school.
Baek Jeho’s only flaw was his clique.
He has bad friends.
"Cho Euntak, go back to your seat and shut your mouth," Baek Jeho said as if he already knew what Cho Euntak was about to say. "This conversation isn’t for you."
"I’ll shut up after I say my piece," Cho Euntak said stubbornly. Yes, he was afraid because Baek Jeho’s friends were all Alphas. But he had to say what he needed to be said. "It’s not disgusting for two Alphas to be together— the thing that’s disgusting is you and your friends making fun of someone else’s sincere feelings."
Baek Jeho shut his eyes tightly while his hot-headed friends immediately jumped Cho Euntak.
I’m an Alpha, but I don’t know how to fight...
