Chapter 274: A DIFFERENT TYPE OF RELATIONSHIP

OF COURSE, Cho Euntak didn’t wait there like an idiot.

When Baek Jeho didn’t return after five minutes, he took it as a sign and left the cinema.

He knew that Baek Jeho might come to his apartment, so he didn’t come home.

Cho Euntak took a taxi and went to a random neighborhood to roam around mindlessly.

Then he spent a lot of time in an art shop that he found by chance.

He felt his heart heal slowly when he found art materials that were hard to find in other big stores. Plus, he also discovered a few art books by a Southeast Asian artist that he hadn’t heard of before.

The next thing he knew, his arms and basket were already filled with a lot of things.

His heart might still be broken, but at least, he found joy in discovering his new favorite art store.

I’m definitely coming back.

When Cho Euntak came to his senses, it was already time for dinner.

I’m famished.

Thankfully, the area was brimming with restaurants.

The problem was that all the restaurants he went to didn’t accept him. Apparently, those restaurants didn’t serve single customers.

That made him upset, of course.

I’ll open a restaurant that’s solely for single people someday!

Cho Euntak was about to leave the last restaurant that turned him away and just go home to order delivery.

However...

"Euntakie?"

Oh!

Cho Euntak was surprised to see Hong Sera coming out of the restaurant. "Noona..."

He trailed off when he realized that his noona wasn’t alone.

Hong Sera was with Baek Semin and Seowon— the little girl who was the same age as Song Gunwoo.

Oh, right— I think Sera Noona is kind of dating this hyung with a young daughter?

"Are you alone?" Hong Sera asked worriedly. "This is far from the university and your home. So, what are you doing here all by yourself?"

Ah.

Cho Euntak remembered how he ended up there, and he suddenly became emotional. "Noona..."

***

"PRETTY OPPA, you can have my chocolate eggs. Don’t cry."

Aigoo.

Cho Euntak felt embarrassed that Seowon, a little child, had to comfort him because he almost cried earlier.

Thankfully, Hong Sera immediately ushered him to the car before he made a scene in front of the restaurant. He thought his noona would either drive him home or bring him to her place, but their destination was completely unexpected.

"Thank you, Seowonnie," Cho Euntak said, smiling at the child who gave him egg-shaped chocolate candies. He didn’t have the heart to refuse, seeing how Seowon looked sincere when comforting him. "I’ll eat them and cheer up."

Seowon just giggled before running back to her giant dollhouse to play with her dolls.

Yes, the dollhouse is big enough for a six-year-old baby girl to play in.

"Have some tea, Euntakie."

Cho Euntak lifted his head and smiled when he saw Hong Sera bringing a tray with a tea cup and a plate of biscuits. "Thank you, Noona."

"Have some snacks first," Hong Sera said, sitting on the sofa. "Semin Oppa is making dinner for you. His steak fried rice is really good, so I’m sure you’ll love it. His side dishes, too. And you can’t leave without having a taste of his famous lemon curd sponge cake. Trust me— it tastes divine!"

Cho Euntak smiled while listening to Hong Sera brag about Baek Semin’s cooking and baking skills.

He was happy for his noona.

I can tell that Semin Hyung is taking good care of her.

"Did Baek Jeho mess up again?"

Cho Euntak smiled bitterly, and then he nodded. "I don’t think he really likes me, Noona."

"I don’t know if I have to say this now, but actually..."

"Hmm?"

Hong Sera showed her phone to him. "Baek Jeho has been calling me all this time, and he keeps sending me text messages. He’s actually in front of the apartment building right now."

Cho Euntak gasped. "But how did he know that I’m with you, Noona?"

"Baek Jeho figured it out. You only hang out with me and Sohee Oppa. So, he figured that if you weren’t with Sohee Oppa, then you must be with me," Hong Sera explained. "And since I’m not in my parents’ place or my apartment, then Baek Jeho figured out that I’d be here at Semin Oppa’s place. You know, Alphas can really be annoyingly perceptive sometimes."

"But how did Baek Jeho know where Semin Hyung lives?"

"Baek Jeho has a connection to the chaebols. Running a background check on other people is one of their stupid hobbies."

Right.

"Plus, Semin Oppa is a celebrity. It’s easy to find out where he lives."

Cho Euntak sighed while shaking his head. "I don’t want to see Baek Jeho right now. I’m afraid I’d lose my apetite."

"We can’t have that happen. You have to realize how much of a good chef Semin Oppa is," Hong Sera claimed, even though Baek Semin was an actor and not a professional chef. "So, ignore Baek Jeho in the meantime and enjoy your dinner."

***

WOW.

Cho Euntak realized that Hong Sera wasn’t exaggerating when she said that Baek Semin was good at cooking.

How could a simple steak fried rice taste so good?

This is the best steak fried rice I’ve had in my life.

And the lemon curd sponge cake?

He almost cried because of how good it tasted.

"Semin Hyung, once you retire from acting, please open a restaurant," Cho Euntak pleaded. "And if you do, please don’t discriminate against single customers."

Baek Semin chuckled while nodding. "Alright, I’ll keep that in mind."

"Thank you for the meal. I enjoyed it."

"You’re welcome. I’m glad my food made you feel better."

While Cho Euntak was thinking about how he could entrust Hong Sera to this man, he got distracted when he heard the doorbell ring.

Baek Semin looked confused. "I’m not expecting any guest at this hour."

Cho Euntak gasped. "A stalker...?" 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

Baek Semin chuckled while shaking his head, and then he got up. "Sera-ya, I’ll get the door."

The actor caught Hong Sera, who was about to check the intercom.

"No, I’ll do it, Oppa," Hong Sera said. "What if it’s your stalker?"

"The more you shouldn’t check the door then," Baek Semin said. "I don’t want you to be in danger because of me."

Aww.

Hong Sera and Baek Semin ended up checking the intercom together.

And then...

"Euntakie, it’s Baek Jeho."

Cho Euntak almost choked on his saliva.

What?!

***

CHO EUNTAK didn’t want to see Baek Jeho yet, but he didn’t want to be an inconvenience to Baek Semin and Hong Sera either.

Hence, he ended up coming out to meet Baek Jeho.

Hong Sera and Baek Semin offered to come with him, but he declined.

"What are you doing here?" Cho Euntak asked while he and Baek Jeho were in the elevator. "I got your message loud and clear, Baek Jeho. You realized that you weren’t physically attracted to me after our kiss, didn’t you? That’s why you ran away."

"No, it’s actually the opposite."

"Hah. If you’re going to lie, then at least make it believable—"

"I didn’t run away— I just left to take care of my business immediately."

"What are you talking about?"

"I got hard because of our kiss," Baek Jeho said, his face turned red as if he were embarrassed. This brat was born arrogant, so it was strange to see him act that way. "I jerked off in the cinema bathroom while thinking of you, Euntak-ah."

WHAT?!

Cho Euntak was too stunned to react.

Moreover, something else distracted him.

Where is this fragrant smell coming from?
