Marvel : Starting by Copying Wolverine's Power
Chapter 321: Living Bombs
Levi did not retreat.
The instant the white divine power erupted into the void, the Concept of Greed within him exploded into action.
Golden-red light poured from his eyes, forming a massive vortex before him.
The vortex spun so rapidly that even space itself twisted into a spiral. Along its edges radiated a gravitational pull powerful enough to make reality tremble.
The white divine power slammed into the vortex’s edge like prey stumbling into a trap and was instantly dragged inside.
It struggled frantically, erupting with blinding radiance as it tried to tear the vortex apart and escape.
But Levi gritted his teeth and pushed his Source Authority to its limit, increasing the vortex’s pull to the maximum.
The Phoenix Force burned within him. Golden-red flames spread along the vortex’s edges, forming a sealed cage that completely cut off any route of escape.
Standing behind him, Wanda could clearly feel the horror of that devouring force. Even the Chaos Magic within her reacted instinctively, trying to distance itself from the vortex.
This wasn’t ordinary energy absorption.
It was plunder on a conceptual level.
Levi wanted more than power.
He wanted the information, memories, and essence carried behind that power.
He intended to consume every trace left behind by Rabum Alal.
The white divine power struggled for several seconds before finally being dragged completely into Levi’s body.
The golden-red vortex abruptly contracted and vanished.
Wanda immediately moved to support him, crimson Chaos Magic flowing into his body in an attempt to stabilize his condition.
But Levi raised a hand and stopped her.
He could feel the white divine power rampaging through his body, trying to tear apart his consciousness and destroy his source.
But the Concept of Greed was even more savage.
Like a starving beast that had finally caught prey, it clamped down relentlessly, tearing, chewing, and swallowing.
The resistance of the white divine power grew weaker and weaker until it was completely digested into pure energy and streams of information.
Levi opened his eyes.
The golden-red glow within them had become even deeper than before.
Looking at the shattered crystal sphere, a cold smile appeared on his lips.
"Interesting."
Wanda asked nervously, "Are you alright?"
Levi shook his head and took a deep breath, suppressing the surging power within him.
"Not only am I fine."
"I made a profit."
He raised his right hand.
A faint white glow appeared in his palm.
It was the core information extracted from the divine power—the energy frequency of the Beyonders, along with coordinate traces left behind by Rabum Alal throughout the multiverse.
More importantly, through devouring the divine power, he had witnessed a truth that had been erased.
Closing his eyes, Levi pieced together the fragmented information.
Images emerged within his mind.
Countless parallel universes.
At the core of every one of them existed the same type of being—
Molecule Man.
They appeared ordinary. Scientists. Laborers. Drifters.
People living lives so mundane they were easy to overlook.
But in the Beyonders’ design, they were never truly human.
They were bombs.
Living bombs.
Inside every Molecule Man was implanted a fragment of the Beyonders’ source energy.
That energy was tightly bound to the very foundation of its universe, like a timed explosive whose fuse was attached to the support pillars of an entire skyscraper.
The moment a Molecule Man died, the source energy inside him would spiral out of control and trigger a chain reaction, annihilating the entire universe from the conceptual level.
Not physical destruction.
Existence itself would be erased.
And the Beyonders had only one purpose in doing this.
Selection.
They scattered countless seeds throughout the multiverse and observed how each universe responded to the inevitable catastrophe.
Civilizations that found Molecule Man, protected him, or even used his power to transcend their limits were allowed to continue existing.
Those that failed—or were foolish enough to kill him—would be erased along with their entire universe, making room for the next batch of experimental subjects.
This was the truth behind Everything Dies.
Not a natural disaster.
A man-made catastrophe.
A multiversal purge designed by the Beyonders.
Levi opened his eyes.
The golden-red light within them was nearly overflowing.
Looking at Wanda, he spoke in a low voice that sounded as though it had been squeezed through clenched teeth.
"The Beyonders planted a bomb in every universe."
"They call it Molecule Man."
"They used their own source energy to transform these people into living weapons and bind them to the foundations of reality."
"If a Molecule Man dies..."
"The entire universe dies with him."
Wanda sucked in a sharp breath.
Instinctively, she tightened her hold on the sleeping Adam in her arms. Chaos Magic flickered at her fingertips, betraying her unease.
"And Rabum Alal...?"
Levi nodded. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
"He’s hunting Molecule Men."
"Not to destroy."
"To save."
With a wave of his hand, a curtain of light appeared, projecting images extracted from the divine power.
Within the projection stood a man clad in a green cloak and metal mask atop the ruins of countless universes.
Behind him, collapsing dimensions stretched endlessly into the distance.
Civilizations vanished into nothingness amid their screams.
Yet his eyes never wavered.
There was only a nearly insane calmness.
Rabum Alal.
Doctor Doom.
He understood the Beyonders’ conspiracy better than anyone.
And he knew better than anyone that the multiverse had already reached the edge of a cliff.
Once the chain reaction known as Everything Dies began, it would spread like falling dominoes.
One universe would explode.
Then its neighbors.
Then the next.
Forever.
Eventually, the entire multiverse would be reduced to nothing.
So he made a choice.
Since the chain reaction could not be stopped, he would detonate the outer universes first.
Localized destruction to halt wider collapse.
Amputation to save the patient.
He wandered along the edges of the multiverse, hunting Molecule Men one after another, deliberately detonating universes that were already beyond saving.
The destruction of hundreds of universes in exchange for the survival of the core.
Cold.
Rational.
Efficient.
And so desperate it was suffocating.
Wanda stared at the lonely figure within the projection.
Her voice trembled slightly.
"He sacrificed so many universes... all those civilizations... all those lives..."
Levi remained silent for several seconds before shaking his head.
"He had no choice."
"If he didn’t do it, then once the chain reaction fully erupted, it wouldn’t be hundreds of universes."
"It would be all of them."
With a wave, he dismissed the projection and turned toward the depths of the void.
"But his method only treats the symptoms."
"As long as the Beyonders remain alive..."
"As long as those Molecule Men still exist..."
"This game will never end."
"That’s why he came here."
"To erase every record concerning the Beyonders."
Wanda blinked.
"Why?"
A trace of coldness flashed through Levi’s eyes.
"Because he doesn’t want anyone else to know the truth."
"The moment others learn about Molecule Man—learn that killing him can destroy an entire universe—the multiverse will descend into even greater chaos."
"There will be madmen who kill them deliberately."
"Ambitious people who try to control them."
"And desperate souls who want to drag the entire universe down with them."
"What Rabum Alal wants..."
"...is to bury this secret forever."
"To make himself the only person who knows the truth."
"The only one qualified to decide who lives and who dies."
He paused.
His voice grew colder.
"He wants to become the dictator of the multiverse."
Wanda bit her lip.
Adam shifted slightly in his sleep, rubbing against her chest.
Looking down at her son’s innocent face, her gaze became resolute.
"What do we do now?"
Levi withdrew his gaze.
The white light in his palm condensed once more.
It was the energy frequency extracted from the divine power.
The key to locating every Molecule Man.
"We find the Molecule Man of our universe."
"And protect him before Rabum Alal gets to him."
He clenched his fist.
The white light seeped into his skin and merged with the source power within him.
A strange resonance spread outward from his body like a radar pulse sweeping across the void.
Several seconds later, Levi opened his eyes.
"Found him."
"Earth-616."
"Colorado. A small town outside Denver."
He tore open a spatial rift.
Golden light exploded through the void, forming a passage back to the primary universe.
Wanda followed behind him.
Then suddenly stopped.
Turning toward the depths of the Forbidden Zone, she frowned.
"Do you feel that?"
"Something isn’t right."
Levi stopped as well and used the Law of Mind to scan their surroundings.
The void remained silent.
The crystal sphere’s remains drifted motionlessly.
Nothing appeared unusual.
Yet Wanda was right.
Something was watching them.
Not the Recorder of Truth.
Not the Library itself.
Something far more distant.
Far more terrifying.
Like a scientist peering through a microscope at bacteria in a petri dish.
Cold.
Curious.
Judging.
Levi narrowed his eyes.
His Source Authority erupted instantly, constructing layer after layer of defensive barriers around them.
Golden membranes stacked atop one another, each covered in complex runes capable of withstanding the full-force attack of a Skyfather-level being.
The gaze did not disappear.
It pierced through every defense and settled directly upon Levi and Wanda.
Like invisible needles pressing against their skin.
Taking a slow breath, Levi looked toward the deepest reaches of the void.
Nothing was there.
Yet it felt as though a pair of eyes was opening.
He did not linger.
The sensation of observation was growing stronger.
As though some existence was slowly awakening beyond the abyss.
Grabbing Wanda’s wrist, he pulled her into the spatial rift.
Golden light instantly swallowed them.
The moment the rift closed behind them, the Seventh Layer of the Forbidden Zone violently trembled.
The void began to collapse.
The shattered crystal sphere exploded into countless fragments.
The fragments hung motionless for a brief moment before dissolving into nothingness.
The Recorder of Truth emerged from deeper within the World Library.
Its spherical head flashed wildly as runes across its surface spun faster than ever before.
Several seconds later, every rune froze simultaneously.
Displaying the same conclusion:
> Warning: Observation from the Beyond-Realm has locked onto Earth-616’s coordinates.
Recommendation: Immediately sever all connections between this universe and the World Library to prevent contamination from spreading.
The giant remained silent for a long time.
Finally, it raised its right hand and drew a golden barrier through the void, sealing every path leading to Earth-616.
After completing the task, the Recorder of Truth spoke softly to itself.
For the first time, its voice carried an emotion usually reserved for humans.
Fear.
"He devoured that divine power..."
"And survived..."
"No. Not merely survived."
"He became stronger."
The runes accelerated again.
Then calculated a result that made even it tremble.
"If he continues growing at this rate..."
"The multiverse will give birth to a second..."
"...No. Something even more dangerous than the Beyonders."
It looked toward the deepest vaults of the Library.
There lay the ultimate archives containing every forbidden secret since the dawn of creation.
"Perhaps..."
"It’s time to tell him that."
Before the sentence could finish, every light in the Library suddenly went out.
All books stopped turning their pages.
All runes ceased flowing.
Even the River of Time itself became frozen.
A voice echoed through the darkness.
Not the Recorder of Truth.
Something older.
More majestic.
A will that seemed to have existed since the birth of the multiverse itself.
"No need."
"He will find the answer himself."
"And when he does..."
"The fate of the multiverse will no longer be decided by the Beyonders."
The voice vanished.
Light returned.
Everything resumed as normal.
The Recorder of Truth still stood where it had been.
But the runes covering its body had rewritten the records.
Every trace of Levi and Wanda’s visit had been erased.
As though they had never set foot inside the World Library at all.
