Walker took a step and found himself back at the mansion.

He took another step and found himself in front of the Genesis building.

Yet another step brought him to the grand spirit tree.

He was testing his ability to teleport finding that the space mana felt closer than ever. But he was still in a form that he had to manipulate with extreme care and utilize the other manas around to keep from causing ripples or damage.

The way he moved disrupted the space mana where he was going, all because he needed more experience in his actions. Because of this he had been testing the skill for the entire day after he and Gil had their epiphanies.

Where he was exceeding and Gul wasn't was in the use of the manas that he had adjusted himself to.

Walker was able to adjust his body more and more to using space mana while sensing how it flowed through him. The more he practiced it the better he was getting and the more confident he was feeling about testing greater distances. He had even gained the lesser teleportation skill finally proving that he was using space mana properly.

This wasn't anything like the beginner skill that a new class user, the blinking swordsman had gained. It was a footwork skill called blink step where they could use a lot of their mana to teleport in front of an enemy or escape from one. It only allowed them to move a short distance but this was still one of the first space class related affinity users within Genesis so Walker had temporarily stopped to meet them.

The demi-human boy was only nine years old so he was mostly working on instinct. But he was in wonder, finding out about his affinity and hearing what Walker had learned about space mana as a whole. There was also the fact that the demi-humans did not have many mages so having him cross that boundary creating a mix of mage and swordsman was a lot for them. They were truly inspired and thought about how they would lead their people toward better battles.

It was still all too true that the demi-humans preferred battle in the coliseums over many other things.

While Gil was finding it harder to track the changes in the manas within his body, he was showing Alma the methods he would use to train himself. The forced usage of manas that could harm him in their odd mixed forms was enough to really aggravate her.

Originally she had thought that Gil was being reckless by using this method. However, as she saw that he was utilizing the manas to spur the high elven bloodline and then work on skills that could channel those manas, she began to understand a lot of his focus too.

That the high elf bloodline was even more versatile than she realized. It had been a long time since high elves were a thing in the world because of how the elven race had developed over many years. Therefore, there was also a lot of information that had been misconstrued in their records.

It wasn't just that a high elf had the amenities to have every mana at their call, but that they could train their bodies to resist all those manas and the forms that they mixed in. Proof that in more ancient times that the high elves had thrived because the longer they lived in more volatile lands the stronger they became to keep living there.

It was the perfect example of how the elven race had survived until today despite the fact that their race had more or less split up as a whole over the generations.

That aside, as Gil explained that he could adapt to different mixed manas to work toward his goal of actively channeling those same manas in to arrows, it presented a good opportunity.

There were chances for the other elves who awakened a bit of the high elf bloodline to grow. Many had become stagnant because they believed just awakening the bloodline put them ahead of others.

They were wrong though. ๐’ป๐“‡๐‘’๐˜ฆ๐˜ธ๐‘’๐’ท๐“ƒโ„ด๐‘ฃ๐˜ฆ๐‘™.๐’ธโ„ด๐˜ฎ

In theory, it would just get them back to what their race should have as a base. It was starting them at the starting line and in no way was a finish line. There was so much more they could learn and apply their newfound potential to.

Whether it was crafting or foraging, battle or guarding, it was a chance to apply themselves in so many new ways that it would mark a new era for the elven race after they had finally reunited.

It was a literal symbol that their unity brought about great change for the good of their people. Or at least that was how Alma and Gil were prepared to share the information.

As Walker and Gil moved forward, Onyx was watching over Midnight.

He had just stopped his own training to ensure that what Midnight had started to do would not end in her being harmed.

While he had been trying to use light mana to fly through the air, it had been going fairly well with him grasping some new understandings of light mana as a whole. For Midnight, she had been condensing manas and bringing them in to balance within her body.

So far she had shown a bit of a negative reaction to holding so much mana. She had been forced to switch to her full dragon form after sweating and showing clear pain as her muscles were affected. She became more relaxed in her proper form because it was her natural form and not the form she changed in to with a skill.

This was because she was attempting to alter the very essence of who and what she was. She wasn't trying to change the dragonkin or more humanoid form she could change herself to be. She was growing and pushing to break through to a form that was mostly fantastical in nature.

Many fantasies were proving to just be ancient tales lost in time. The proof of that lay in the elves and their high elf bloodline or in the ancient monsters' bloodlines appearing within the Demi-human race.

This meant that a dragon core would theoretically be possible. Similar to how the royal dragons became dominator dragons through condensing manas in to their hearts in specific ways.

This similar action she was in the process was to condense that mana within her heart but instead of following steps to allow that mana to radiate and alter her body, she would double the amount of mana. From there she would condense it in to a singular point making a core.

Then the mana would radiate through here enhancing her body as a dragon champion and someone able to use all manas. She relied on that because she had a bond with Walker allowing her these affinities better than others. It was why she had managed to change in these ways originally.

Once Onyx noticed the growing change and how Midnight appeared stressed beyond the usual, he worried that he might need to step in. Or that he must ask for Walker and the others to come help. He even considered calling for the royal dragons who should have some input on these things.

Yet, as Midnight moved more mana in to her body, he grew in stress. Her scales showed cracked beyond the norm. Even the mana radiating from here made it tougher to see through shell.

To his eyes, she appeared to be a medium sized dragon encasing herself in an egg again. It was almost amazing and scary at the same time. Whether it was a natural process or not was lost to time, but for Midnight, she felt a pressure breaking a wall.

The cracking scales and leaking mana forming a shell felt like she was smashing a wall that halted her from growing. Like she was facing a battle against an evil monster dead set on keeping her in chains. Stopping her from flying freely.

To her, it felt like she had been working for hours on this alone. But to Onyx, it had been three days watching over her at this point. He still hadn't worried though, he too felt through his bonds that Midnight felt driven and strong, not weak in the least.

The sudden cracking and pulse of mana shattering on the fourth day pushed him back and made him feel as if he couldn't control the mana around him at all. The light and dark manas being his prime affinity disregarding him for that moment. Exactly like Walker when he broke through and manipulated all the manas around him.

It was all about how Midnight had just broken through tooโ€ฆ
