Aelar did not say anything else and simply returned to his work after hearing Elisa’s reply.

The next day,

All of the students from Class A and Class S of both Academies were present on the ground.

All of them were wearing a bracelet on their wrists.

Professor Aelar looked at all the students and then said, "Students, in five minutes, the exam will start, and you will be teleported to random positions in a forest. The bracelet that you are wearing will provide you with a map of the forest and the locations of the top students for a certain period of time every two hours. You can’t remove the bracelet, or you will be considered eliminated. Do you understand what I am saying?"

All the students nodded. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

Aelar then continued, "Okay, this is all the information I wanted to tell you. The other rules and information have already been sent to you. Now, in about two minutes, you will be transported to the exam site."

As soon as Aelar finished speaking, a tense silence spread across the ground.

Some students looked confident, while others were visibly nervous. A few were already studying the map displayed on their bracelets, trying to memorize as much information as possible before the exam began.

Meanwhile, Aelar glanced at the large clock floating above the ground.

Two minutes quickly turned into one.

The students instinctively straightened their postures as the anticipation continued to build.

"Ten seconds remaining," a mechanical voice echoed across the area.

The bracelets on everyone’s wrists suddenly began to glow with a faint blue light.

"Five..."

Several students clenched their fists.

"Four..."

Mana fluctuations started to gather around the entire ground.

"Three..."

The air itself seemed to distort.

"Two..."

Bright circles of light appeared beneath every student.

"One..."

Aelar watched silently.

"Examination begins."

The moment the announcement ended, a brilliant flash engulfed the entire area.

One after another, the students vanished from the ground.

When the light faded, the once-crowded field had become completely empty.

Only Aelar and a few professors remained behind.

"The exam has officially started," one professor said.

Aelar nodded as he looked toward the massive screen that had appeared in front of them, displaying the names and locations of every participant.

"Let’s see how many of them manage to exceed our expectations."

A flash of light covered Asher’s body.

The next moment, he appeared in the forest.

Asher looked around and saw tall trees everywhere. The forest was quiet and there was no sign of any other student nearby.

He then looked at the bracelet on his wrist.

A map immediately appeared above it.

The map showed the entire forest and also marked his current location.

"So this is northern area," Asher muttered.

Asher was in the periphery of the examination site.

He tried to sense his surroundings.

He sensed no other students around him, but about 50 meters behind him, where the map was just ending, there was a barrier, and that barrier would probably start moving closer to the center of the forest after every 2 hours.

So, without wasting any time, Asher just walked towards the center of the forest so that he would not have to keep worrying about the shrinking barrier. Who would want to be eliminated just because he could not outrun some barrier?

Asher kept moving towards the center at a normal speed to avoid wasting mana, because the way the rules were, he would probably need to save his mana as much as he could.

After moving for 30 minutes, Asher stopped, because it was now time for his location to be revealed to the other students, and he would not want his location moving in some direction so others could predict where he was heading.

As soon as 30 minutes passed, his bracelet lit up with a red light and a mechanical voice said, "Your location is now being shown to other students for the next 1 minute."

1 minute, not a long time, but still enough for nearby students to come close to his location.

He was lucky till now that he had encountered no one in his way. But now things would be a little annoying.

After 1 minute passed, the bracelet’s light went off, meaning no one could see his location now.

Without wasting any time, Asher then started moving towards the east.

While he was moving in the eastern direction, he suddenly stopped, because he felt the presence of 5 students coming towards him.

They seemed to be moving together as a team to eliminate him.

"Is the bounty on my head really that tempting that people are now even teaming up to eliminate me?" Asher thought.

Asher decided to stop and wait for them to arrive at his location.

The area was not open and was full of trees, making it best suited for close combat. If he avoided them now, he would just end up with even more students pursuing him. So he decided that it would be better to eliminate them, clear his way, and then move towards the east, where there would be a lower number of students since only 5 were coming from that direction.

Asher just stood there and waited for them to arrive.

A few moments later, he heard footsteps approaching from the front.

Soon, five students appeared between the trees.

The moment they saw Asher standing there waiting for them, all five stopped.

All five of them were Elves and students of Class S.

Three of them were at Gold Rank 1, while the other two were at the peak of Silver Rank.

As expected of Elves, their cultivation was ahead of the human students.

Asher looked at them and thought, "Just as I thought, only the students of Elyndor Academy would underestimate me and come after me for the bounty. The students of my Academy are already afraid of me after seeing my battle in the last test, so they are not stupid enough to fight me and get eliminated just because of some points."
