Chapter 86: Alone [1]

Asher was standing on the branch of a tall tree, and the other five were also standing on the branches of other trees, as there was not enough free space to run on the ground. But Asher was just traveling through the trees because it felt fun; it felt like he was some ninja.

One of the elves who had Silver Peak cultivation looked at Asher and said in a mocking tone, his face full of arrogance, "Hey, you lowly human, let me teach you some manners and about respecting others, since you don’t seem to have any respect for Princess Roselia."

Asher looked at the guy who had just said that and sighed.

"Just why? Why can’t these guys think with their brains instead of their balls? Do they think she will become their girlfriend if they act like this? And why do you even want her to become your girlfriend? Let it be this world or my previous world, teenagers’ actions are always influenced by their desires and emotions, and in the end, they just get into trouble because of them. Why can’t people be logical?"

Asher shook his head and thought, "Whatever, I should just finish them and take a little rest."

Then another Silver Peak-ranked elf looked at Asher and said, "I am the heir of one of the prestigious noble elf families. My name is H---"

But before he could continue, Asher, who was looking at him, suddenly vanished and appeared just above him.

The boy who was giving his introduction had a blank look on his face when Asher vanished from his spot and thought, "Did he escape?"

But then he felt someone above him and looked up, only to see a kick coming toward his face. Before he could react, the kick landed on his face, and he fell to the ground before fainting.

Then his bracelet lit up, and he was engulfed in light before simply vanishing. He was eliminated.

Just like that, only four elves were left.

The other four guys looked at the place where their teammate had just vanished and then looked at Asher, who was now standing on the branch where their teammate had been standing.

All of them had blank looks on their faces. Then one of the Gold-ranked elves looked at Asher and said in an angry tone, "How shameless! How can you attack someone when he is just introducing himself?"

All four of them were ready for any upcoming attack after seeing what had happened to their teammate.

Asher just looked at them and replied with confusion on his face, "When did I even ask for his name or tell him to introduce himself? It’s his fault. Who even introduces himself before fighting? And why would I even care about the name of some guy I would never see again?"

Then he paused and said, "And his name will be announced now anyway, so there was no need to hear it from him."

All four of them looked at him with confusion when he said that his name would be announced now.

Then Asher looked at his bracelet, and it said in a mechanical tone, "You have eliminated a student. You have earned 100 points."

Asher then looked at the other four and said, "Oh, it seems there is no mention of the name of the eliminated student. I guess the one who was in charge of this test did not play many battle royale games."

The four elves looked at each other after hearing Asher’s words.

All of them had ugly expressions on their faces.

One of the Silver Peak-ranked elves looked at Asher and said in a low voice, "This guy is looking down on us."

The Gold-ranked elf nodded and said, "Don’t act alone. We attack together."

The other three nodded.

After seeing what happened to their teammate, none of them dared to underestimate Asher anymore.

Asher looked at them discussing their plan and thought, "Why do villains always explain their strategy in front of their enemies? Are they expecting me to stand here and wait for them to finish?"

Then all four of them summoned their weapons. One Silver-ranked guy summoned his bow, while the other three summoned their swords.

The guy with the bow moved from his position and went to a higher branch of a tree to get a better view.

The other three just moved toward Asher from different directions.

Asher looked at the three approaching opponents and just manifested his mana blades on both of his hands.

And then he vanished again from his position.

The next moment, Asher appeared behind one of the three guys approaching him with a sword to engage in close combat.

But the opponent was ready, and as soon as he sensed Asher behind him, he turned around and attacked with his sword.

Asher also attacked with both of his mana blades, and the sword and mana blades clashed with each other.

And they kept clashing.

The opponent was at a disadvantage because he was attacking with only one sword, while Asher was attacking with both hands. Even though his strikes contained more force than Asher’s, he was unable to gain the upper hand.

Asher kept attacking him without leaving any gaps, and he could only defend.

The other two students were already moving toward the place where they were fighting to help their friend.

The opponent’s sword faltered for a second and gave an opening in his defense. Asher was just about to attack him when he suddenly moved back.

The next moment, an arrow passed through the place where they had been fighting.

The opponent sighed in relief, as he had just been saved from being eliminated.

But Asher just looked at the archer with an annoyed expression and then teleported.

As soon as Asher vanished,

the three swordsmen looked at the archer and shouted, "Get away from there and move toward us!"

But Asher did not teleport to the archer. Instead, he appeared behind the elf he had just been battling against and attacked his back with a mana blade.
