I arrived at the ward where Aunt Penelope was. ’Jeez. Should I return and bring him?’. I thought to myself about Nikolai, because I feared that he and Beta Damien might end up fighting, since they were in the same space as each other.

But, I shook my head in defeat, before I turned to Aunt Penelope. "Aunt Penelope". I said to her.

"Oh my, Anastasia". She said to me with her eyes fixed on Caden and Chase.

I smiled. Then I said to Caden and Chase, "Well? What are both of you waiting for? Go and meet your aunt".

They stared at me after I said that to them, and I gave them a look of approval, which came with a nod.

"Go on". I added, and they went ahead to stand in front of Aunt Penelope.

Aunt Penelope’s hands reached out, and she placed both palms on their cheeks.

"No wonder I felt a certain bond with both of you". Aunt Penelope said to them, before she shifted her gaze to me. Her eyes were filled with a certain kind of worry. ’Are you really okay with them being here, my dear Alpha Anastasia? Are you not angry at them or their mother? Don’t you hate your father for this?’. She mind linked me.

Honestly, I understood her worries.

But, that was something she should not worry about.

’Don’t worry, Aunt. I am fine with everything. You should believe me’. I replied to her through mind link, making her smile at me, before she pulled Caden and Chase in for a hug.

I saw a drop of tear escaping from her eye, before she shut them both. "Welcome home, kids. Welcome home. This is where you both belong". She said to them.

"You are right, Aunt Penelope. And today, I will make it known to everyone in my Shadows’ pack and beyond my Shadows’ pack that they are the magnificent Alpha Ashton’s blood". I declared, and at that moment, Aunt Penelope stopped hugging Caden and Chase.

"I have already talked about it before, Aunt Becky. Luciana is allowed to return to the pack however she sees fit. And, I will also announce the news to everyone". I told her.

"That is good, Anastasia. That is good". She nodded at me, but her next words threw me off guard. "I would love to bond more with my nephews and pass onto them a few fighting techniques of mine. With this being said, I think I am ready to be discharged from this hospital".

’Heck no. Tell her no, Clara. I know she is trying to use our brothers as perfect cover, so that she will leave the hospital, train harder, rejoin the war, and make those bastards pay for destroying Paloma!’. Elektra mind linked me, and I knew she had a point.

"Aunt Penelope, you have just recovered. I think it is best if you remain in the hospital for a little longer. I want the doctors to keep a close eye on you and make sure that you are completely free from danger". I said to her, and was not planning to agree with her own point of view.

"Anastasia, I have already mentioned to you that I am a warrior. I am not some weakling". She said to me, making me sigh in defeat.

Then I went ahead and placed my hand on her shoulder. "I know that you are a mighty warrior, Aunt Penelope. But that doesn’t change the fact that I want you to remain in the hospital until you get better". I said.

"Our Alpha is right, elder Penelope".

The voice of doctor Rebecca made me turn in the direction of the door, only to see her appear inside the ward.

She bowed before me, acknowledging my presence and also Aunt Penelope’s presence. "I apologize for intruding and overhearing your conversation. But, you have not fully recovered, elder Penelope. It is unwise of you to leave the hospital". She said.

"You don’t understand how I feel". Aunt Penelope declared, and I saw her clench her fist, thus showing just how desperate she wanted to leave the hospital.

But to my surprise, Doctor Rebecca remained unfazed. She said calmly to Aunt Penelope, "I know that I don’t understand how you feel, Elder Penelope, but I can imagine how you feel".

"I want you to know that without a fully healthy body and a calm spirit, you would not be able to avenge Elder Paloma".

"You are only going to hurt yourself more and end up making her sacrifice in vain". Doctor Rebecca added.

I had expected Aunt Penelope to grow angry at Doctor Rebecca’s words, but she surprisingly became calm. Too calm, as if Doctor Rebecca’s words had hit her weak spot.

Aunt Penelope chuckled in pain and stared at the ceiling, like someone who was reminiscing about the past.

"Are you alright, Aunt Penelope?". I asked her.

"Are you alright, Au- Aunt?". Caden asked her also, but she sighed.

"Just leave me be. I need some time alone to myself". Aunt Penelope said, before she turned around and let her back face us.

She looked pretty dejected, making me shake my head in defeat.

I knew just how hard it must be for her.

"Let’s go". I stared at Caden and Chase and said, before I made them leave the ward with me.

"I will be on my way then, Alpha Anastasia. I must look after the special patient". Doctor Rebecca said to me, before she excused herself from my presence.

I watched her leave until I could not see her back anymore. But, I knew of the special patient she had talked about. It was none other than the possessed Lucinda.

"Sister, are you sure it’s right to leave her alone?". Caden suddenly asked me and snapped me out of my thoughts.

"I am also wondering about that". Chase added.

"I know Aunt Penelope, and I know it is best we leave her alone. She needs some time to herself to clear her mind after everything that has happened to her". I replied to them, then smiled. "We shouldn’t dwell on that".

"I plan on introducing both of you to everyone today". I said, then held their hands. "Both of you are my brothers, and nothing can change that fact". I added and led them out of the hospital with me.

I was heading to Geliya TV news station with them.

The sooner I introduced them to everyone, the faster it was for me to focus on the war. And especially... focus on killing that black shadow.

I was looking forward to that.

Though, I did not understand why, as soon as I stepped out of the hospital, some lunatic was going to mention my name using that disgusting lips of his.
