Chapter 1369: Chapter 1363: The Furious Mother-in-Law

Seeing Sophia Hamilton with tears streaming down her face, then looking at Violet Zimmerman’s two men, Nathan Moore already understood what was going on.

Titus Zane had been quite displeased at first, but when he heard Sophia Hamilton crying, he curiously poked his head out from behind Nathan Moore. "Sophia?"

Nathan Moore brushed off Sophia Hamilton’s hand that was clutching his lapel and nudged her aside as he walked in. It looked like he was shaking her off, but in fact it was a protective move.

With one sweep of his big hand, he stepped inside, and just like that, Sophia Hamilton was blocked behind him. Given his status and position, those two men surely wouldn’t dare get past him to grab her.

Seeing Violet Zimmerman looking utterly furious, Nathan Moore pretended to be surprised and greeted her, "What a coincidence. Auntie, you’re here to see the gynecologist too?"

As soon as Nathan Moore appeared, Violet Zimmerman already knew what the outcome would be. She was unwilling to accept it, though, and still wanted to make one last effort. After all, this was her family’s business; if Nathan Moore was reasonable, he wouldn’t interfere!

"No. I brought her here for an abortion!" Violet Zimmerman stood up, her attitude tough. Worried Nathan Moore would intervene, she simply chose to tell the plain truth.

"Nathan, stay out of this!"

Nathan Moore lowered his eyes to look at the test results in his hand. Behind him, when Titus Zane heard Violet Zimmerman say "abortion," she also pulled Sophia Hamilton behind herself and instinctively blocked the doorway.

The couple seemed to have a tacit understanding. Once Titus Zane had blocked the door, Nathan Moore strolled in unhurriedly, smiling as he said, "Auntie, it’s not like I’m dying to meddle, it’s just... Sophia Hamilton is my secretary. As her boss, if I watch my own employee get dragged into this mess and do nothing, it doesn’t make sense, either publicly or privately."

After speaking, Nathan Moore turned his gaze to Titus Zane, a flash of coldness sliding through his obsidian eyes. "Call Evander."

Only then did Titus Zane remember to notify Evander Lancaster.

Supporting Sophia Hamilton, she headed toward the corridor behind them, deliberately raising her voice as they walked. "Sophia, don’t be afraid. In a law‑based society, no one dares force you to abort your child! No matter how rich or powerful they are, we still have the internet now, don’t we!"

"Sister Zane..." Sophia Hamilton pouted aggrievedly, her face wet with tears. She was so scared her legs felt weak.

Titus Zane led Sophia Hamilton to sit down on the chairs in the corridor, pulled out her phone, and dialed Evander Lancaster’s number. As soon as the call connected, she launched into him without warning.

"Evander, you can’t even protect your own woman. What kind of man does that make you!"

Evander Lancaster was stunned by the scolding. He was still waiting at the company entrance. Blinking in confusion, he asked with a smile, "Sis, is it that time of the month? Why’s your temper so bad?"

"You’re still in the mood to crack jokes? Your son is about to be gone!" Titus Zane said through gritted teeth, hating the iron for not becoming steel. On the other end, Evander Lancaster’s phoenix eyes sharpened, and his whole body straightened up.

"Sis, what on earth is going on?"

"What’s going on? That social‑climbing mother of yours is about to make Sophia abort the baby!" Titus Zane snapped. Because she herself had never managed to get pregnant, she absolutely despised anyone who wanted to get rid of a child!

Titus Zane’s voice wasn’t low. Inside the consultation room, Nathan Moore heard his woman acting like a shrew, and instead of being put off, he actually let out a snort of laughter.

Violet Zimmerman’s face grew even uglier, because she knew that if her son rushed over now, then there’d be no hope at all. Furious, she barked at her driver and assistant,

"Are you dead or what? Get in there and drag her out!"

"Yes, Madam." the two answered in unison, then strode toward the door.
