Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 726 - 725: Mutual Understanding
Serena Sullivan arrived promptly for Simon Sterling’s invitation. This time, she didn’t bring Ethan Grant.
She had a meal with Simon Sterling and Wyatt Sterling.
Simon didn’t book a private room. He chose a high-end, quiet restaurant and asked Wyatt to bring Serena over.
Seeing Wyatt pushing Serena in, Simon hurried over and placed her opposite him.
Wyatt took a seat, sitting inside next to Serena.
The three of them sitting together, this scene was something Simon had never imagined.
"Serena, what would you like to eat?"
Simon handed the menu to Serena, but she didn’t take it. She replied, "Let Wyatt choose for me."
Wyatt was happy to do this. Compared to Felicity Sterling, he preferred Serena and understood her thoughts well.
Indeed, the dishes he ordered were all ones Serena wanted to eat.
After listening to Wyatt’s conversation with the waiter, Serena recalled a certain conjecture in her mind, lifted the teacup before her, and looked at Simon smilingly across from her.
"Mr. Sterling."
Serena fixed her gaze on Simon’s eyes and said, "Wyatt and I are quite in tune with each other."
"That’s right."
Simon smiled, glancing at Wyatt, then at Serena.
The twin siblings not only resembled each other but shared a unique understanding that others lacked.
Ethan could grasp Serena’s thoughts because of their shared experiences.
Whereas Serena and Wyatt’s was innate.
"Seeing the two of you makes me truly happy."
Simon couldn’t help but sigh.
Heaven blessed him with the greatest gift, which in turn gave him the two most precious little gifts.
Before they came into the world, he fantasized countless times about being together with them.
Then, like a bubble, the fantasy shattered, and only today did he have the chance to sit together with them.
Perhaps Claire Sullivan was also deeply moved when she invited Wyatt and Serena for a meal last time.
"Serena, don’t worry too much about June Kane’s situation."
Simon spoke again, mentioning June Kane’s issue.
Serena shook her head. She wasn’t worried, and she wasn’t here for that.
"I came to hear Mr. Sterling tell some stories from the past!"
Serena placed her teacup on the table, and Wyatt quickly filled her cup with water.
Simon hesitated, looking at Serena as she smiled at him.
Her face was all smiles, but deep in her eyes was a chilliness, and it was clear she hadn’t truly forgiven Simon.
"What do you want to know?"
Simon, being Simon, understood that Serena came to this meal to learn something.
The past events he hadn’t planned on revealing to them. Serena asked, and he hesitated.
"Is it about dad and Mrs. Sullivan?"
Wyatt asked further.
He also inexplicably wanted to know.
June’s imprisonment didn’t affect him much, but hearing Serena talk about Claire Sullivan sparked his interest.
Alas, he was indeed born of his father, too indifferent and cold-blooded!
"What did she tell you?"
Simon paused and asked.
Twenty years ago, the event was exposed in story form, so Serena couldn’t be unaware. She also had conversations with Claire Sullivan.
"My mom told me half."
Serena looked at Simon and said.
"I want to hear you tell the other half."
"What did she say about me?"
Simon smiled. He usually maintained a composed demeanor, exuding an aloofness, but now, smiling lightly in front of his children, he appeared truly handsome.
Other guests in the restaurant glanced over as the three of them seated themselves.
"Did you see? Those three are really attractive!"
"The son is handsome, the daughter is beautiful! No, wait, the father, too, is so charming!"
