Chapter 727: Chapter 726: Dad Is Really Trash!

The sound of discussions reached Serena Sullivan and Wyatt Sterling.

Wyatt felt indifferent, thinking they were just stating the truth.

Serena, however, grew more certain of a suspicion in her heart.

"She never admitted to hiring someone to assault June Kane."

Serena began talking about Claire Sullivan.

"I don’t believe it either," Wyatt interjected, recalling how he found the news from twenty years ago quite strange.

June Kane was his biological mother, but he never felt any warmth from her. Claire Sullivan, whom he hadn’t known for long, made him feel a mother’s care.

Seeing the accusations that Claire harmed June, he was even more convinced she wouldn’t do such a thing.

"No reason."

Serena looked at Simon Sterling and continued.

"But at the time, the evidence pointed to her, and she had to go to the police station."

"The day she was released, you broke up with her and demanded she abort the child she was carrying."

At this point, Wyatt frowned, looking at his biological father, wanting to say: Truly a lousy dad!

"She refused, escaped from the hospital, and left Solaria."

"That’s the truth."

Simon admitted frankly, looking back at Serena, with a slight smile, "Serena, do you have any doubts?"

Daughters are not only prettier and more sensible than sons, but even their brains seem much smarter.

Anyway, the more he looked at his daughter, the more he liked her!

"With the Sterling Family’s influence in the Imperial Capital, how could they not capture a pregnant woman?"

"When the evidence was clear, you didn’t abandon her. Instead, you waited such a long time to leave her after she was released."

"Not long after, you married June Kane and even gave company shares to the Kanes."

"I can’t understand why you would willingly become someone else’s money-making tool!" As the food was served, Simon smiled as he placed some food into Serena’s bowl, listening carefully to what she said next.

"If the Kane Family were great, it would be understandable. But instead, they’re arrogant, reckless, and utterly useless."

The Kane Family lacks ability and brains, so why did Simon marry June Kane and work for the Kane Family for years? There must be a reason!

"So..."

Simon asked.

"So you exchanged yourself for Claire Sullivan’s future."

After hearing Claire’s story and coupling it with the news reports and the things she heard about the Sterling and Kane Families, she felt this was the truth!

When the evidence against Claire was overwhelming, when she was facing a life sentence, Simon chose to exchange the Sterling Family and his lifetime for Claire’s freedom.

Wyatt looked at Simon, exclaiming in shock.

Does this mean his biological dad isn’t rotten?

"Serena, your imagination is quite vivid!"

Simon chuckled without any admission.

Serena didn’t speak; she picked up her teacup and took another sip.

"Whether it’s true or not, Mr. Sterling knows in his heart!"

Serena spoke, looking at Simon, softening her tone, "It’s just that some people are unaware!"

"If Mr. Sterling wants to be misunderstood for a lifetime, that’s fine! Ultimately, it’s your fault!"

"Some people" naturally referred to Claire Sullivan.

Claire lived simply, often seeing things on the surface, never deeply pondering Simon’s intentions.

Simon brought it upon himself, protecting Claire, only to have her hate him for a lifetime.

"Dad, if it really is as Nancy said, you should explain it to Aunt Su."

Wyatt encouraged Simon, believing in Serena’s words and hoping Simon and Claire would reconcile. Then...
