"What do you think?" Serena Sullivan was very interested. Four years ago, she had heard that Julian Ford was an excellent man. Over the years, the rumors about him weren’t as extreme as those about Carter Lockwood and Ethan Grant.

Outsiders praised Julian Ford for his good family background, good looks, and excellent temperament; he smiled at everyone.

Such a man was perfect not only in appearance but also from the inside out.

Now that Ethan Grant was saying he was ruthless, Serena Sullivan didn’t believe it.

"Think about it, he manages such a large corporation and hasn’t made enemies in the business world. Instead, everyone who meets him has only good things to say. Is that normal?"

Businessmen don’t work without profit motives. Julian Ford runs the Ford Group and has such a great reputation. Either he’s genuinely a nice guy, or he’s extremely shrewd, handling other companies so well that people praise him.

Serena Sullivan believed Julian Ford was the latter kind of person.

If he was truly that kind of person, Julian Ford was indeed impressive.

"Think about it again, with his kind of looks and family background, why isn’t he in a relationship, and why isn’t there any lover around him?"

Serena looked at Ethan Grant upon hearing this.

Ethan Grant first defended himself, "I don’t have one because I have you."

He said, leaning in to Serena Sullivan and kissing her lightly.

"Carter Lockwood is infatuated with Anna Morgan."

"But Julian Ford isn’t."

"Do you know why? Why doesn’t he even have a lover?"

"He keeps himself clean," Serena replied. Julian Ford wouldn’t casually find someone just to have someone. If he couldn’t find the right person, he’d rather not have anyone.

"That’s one of the reasons," Ethan Grant continued, "Julian Ford is unwilling to settle."

"But it’s also because he’s ruthless to women who throw themselves at him."

"There are plenty of young models and actresses under him. Even if he’s not actively looking, there are many women interested in him and wanting to be with him."

"They’ve never succeeded, because Julian Ford is ruthlessly indifferent to them."

Serena looked at Ethan Grant, curious to know just how cold-hearted Julian Ford could be.

This man seemed gentle to everyone.

"There was a female celebrity who managed to get into his bed, even stripped naked under his sheets. When he saw her, he wasn’t fazed at all and directly had his bodyguards throw her out. The next day, a ton of scandals about her were exposed, ending her entertainment career."

After hearing this, Serena thought he truly was a ruthless person.

He seemed nice to everyone, but in reality, he wasn’t truly good to anyone.

"I wonder who he might fall in love with someday."

Ethan Grant was always curious about whom Julian Ford would choose, "Perhaps in the end, even if he does find someone, it will just be because they’re suitable."

And not because he’s truly fallen for them.

At this point, Serena’s heart skipped a beat.

Julian Ford was an extremely rational man. If he met Finn Chandler, it might be because they were a suitable match or because he was intrigued, but not necessarily because of love.

While Finn Chandler put his all into it.

Serena became uneasy, noticeably slowing down with what she was doing.

"Serena," Ethan Grant called, "Are you hiding something from me?"

"Mmm."

Serena responded.

When Ethan Grant heard Serena admit it, he waited for her to tell him what it was.

Who knew he would ask what it was.

Serena looked at him, smiled, and softly replied, "Not telling you."

Ethan Grant was exasperated, but seeing Serena’s smile, his mood quickly improved.

If Serena didn’t want to say, she must have her reasons, so he didn’t push her.

Ethan Grant leaned in closer and kissed Serena on the lips again, grateful that Claire Sullivan, Simon Sterling, and Wyatt Sterling weren’t around, so he could kiss Serena freely.
