Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!
Chapter 1033: Scumbags All Deserve a Miserable End
Vanessa Sterling looked awkward as she watched Miles Sterling finish paying the bill. She just lowered her head and said to him, "Thanks."
A woman in a tight dress walked over to Miles Sterling, looked at Vanessa Sterling who was thanking Miles, and smiled, asking Miles, "President Sterling, did you run into a friend?"
Miles Sterling quietly put his phone back in his pocket and responded coolly, "Mm."
Vanessa Sterling glanced covertly at the woman, didn’t dare to look more, and was hesitating on what excuse to use to leave when Yvonne hurriedly came over.
As if afraid Miles Sterling would harm Vanessa Sterling, Yvonne protectively pulled Vanessa to her side, glaring at Miles with hostility, and said to Vanessa with implied meaning, "Teacher Sterling, don’t you think men nowadays are so despicable? They have girlfriends yet still aren’t satisfied, flirting with other girls while hugging their girlfriends, such shamelessness!"
Vanessa Sterling’s face grew even more embarrassed; she didn’t dare turn around to look at Miles and the woman’s expressions, quickly pulling Yvonne towards the restaurant’s exit, saying, "Let’s go, the movie is about to start."
Yvonne followed Vanessa out the door, raising her voice as if intentionally speaking loudly for Miles to hear, "Humph! Scumbags should all meet a bad fate!"
Instead of getting angry, Miles Sterling laughed. The woman leaned in and apologetically said, "Sorry, it seems like I made those two girls misunderstand you."
Miles Sterling acted as if he hadn’t heard the woman’s words, draping his jacket over his arm, and followed Vanessa Sterling’s pace out of the restaurant.
"That short girl looked very cute. Is that the kind you like?" The woman persistently asked.
Miles Sterling glanced at the woman and straightforwardly answered, "Yes."
The woman evidently didn’t expect Miles Sterling’s answer and paused, then said awkwardly with a laugh, "So you like this kind of young girl."
Seeing the driver pull the car up, Miles went to the roadside, opened the car door, and told the driver, "Take Miss Reid home first."
The woman paused before getting into the car, "Aren’t you going back to the hotel, President Sterling?"
"I have some business to attend to, Miss Reid, get some early rest." After speaking, Miles Sterling closed the car door for her, not giving the woman a chance to hesitate, and the driver drove off.
Miles Sterling immediately looked in the direction Vanessa Sterling left, but her figure had disappeared among the crowd.
However, he heard the conversation about going to the movie theater, so he headed straight to the theater across Astra Avenue.
Upon entering the cinema, Miles saw Vanessa Sterling and Yvonne sitting in the lobby waiting for the movie to begin.
He didn’t know which movie the two had purchased tickets for, he simply checked the movie times and picked one that was about to start.
Yvonne leaned over and quietly remarked into Vanessa’s ear, "Why is he here again?!"
Vanessa was equally curious, and she also noticed that the woman hadn’t followed along.
"Teacher Sterling, do you secretly keep in contact with him? He seems to have feelings for you."
"No way."
"I’m telling you, don’t get involved with this kind of man. There are plenty of handsome men in the world, you’ll definitely meet more in the future, so don’t foolishly get charmed by this scumbag just because he looks good."
Vanessa Sterling: "Do you really think I’m that foolish?"
"I see you haven’t been in a relationship and haven’t interacted with many men. So I’m giving you a heads-up, these scumbags are often particularly good at sweet-talking, and what if you get captivated? Better back off while it’s still early."
