My Co-renting Lady Boss
Chapter 1951 - 1947: Mentor Tang Ming
"You bastard, be gentler!"
Su Xiaoxi let out a strange yelp, then the two of them started going at it shamelessly again.
On the first day of the new semester, Meng Xianjun and Shao Wuyou were slumping in their seats in the classroom, half-dead as they waited for the teacher to arrive.
"Old Meng, what the hell did you guys do? You go to some so-called medical competition, Old Hua drops out, and Tang Ming disappears without a trace. Was that a medical competition or a killing game?"
Shao Wuyou complained with a thoroughly depressed expression.
"A lot happened at that medical competition. Your big brother Shao Wuchou was one of the participants too, you can go Ask him yourself."
Meng Xianjun curled his lip with a playful look.
"My big brother did come to me, but all he did was ask me for a detailed rundown on a bunch of stuff about Tang Ming. He didn’t say a word to me about anything else, that’s why I feel so screwed over."
Shao Wuyou pouted gloomily. "What exactly did Tang Ming do? How did he end up alarming the Dragon Group? From the way my brother talked, he seemed pretty pissed at him."
"If even your big brother didn’t tell you, I’m too lazy to explain it. All I can tell you is, Tang Ming is already back."
Meng Xianjun smiled faintly. "He should still be studying at Medical University."
"So that’s how it is! If it were me, with Medical University being that kind of place where beauties swarm and you can conveniently score, I wouldn’t come back either."
Shao Wuyou nodded repeatedly, his face full of envy and jealousy.
"Classmates, today we have a new student transferring into our year. Let’s welcome her with a round of applause."
Right at this moment, counselor Zhang Mingli walked in, with Zhou Xiaoqian following behind him.
"What the hell is this chick doing here?"
Shao Wuyou and Meng Xianjun exclaimed in surprise.
"This is classmate Zhou Xiaoqian. In this medical competition she achieved the excellent result of second place."
Zhang Mingli introduced her with an excited expression all over his face.
Ordinary people still didn’t know the true nature of that medical competition. Outsiders only knew that the competition had ended smoothly; aside from the champion young Medical King being recruited away by some mysterious force, what remained was just the ranking announced at the time.
And somehow, for no apparent reason, Zhou Xiaoqian had become second place. Now her name was resounding through universities nationwide, and she was even being called the Goddess Divine Doctor.
"Goddammit! What the hell are you people pulling here? Tang Ming is nowhere on the rankings, yet his girl ends up second. That missing young Medical King can’t actually be Tang Ming, right?"
Shao Wuyou stared at Zhou Xiaoqian, totally confused. "But that doesn’t make sense either! Hua Yingjie’s Medical Skill is so strong, there’s no way he’d fall off the list, right?"
"Heh heh."
Meng Xianjun chuckled, but didn’t offer any explanation.
After Zhou Xiaoqian did a short self-introduction, she found a seat in the front row and sat down. And just then, Tang Ming walked into the classroom.
"Huh?"
Now even Meng Xianjun was dumbfounded. After they came to the Imperial City, everyone had gone their separate ways and lost contact. How come Tang Ming suddenly showed up at Imperial University?
"Tang Ming? What are you doing here?"
Zhang Mingli also looked at Tang Ming with a face full of confusion. "You’re no longer a student at our school. You’re not here to make trouble, are you?"
"Counselor Zhang, I may not be a student of Imperial University anymore, but I’m here on official business."
Wearing a suit, Tang Ming walked straight up to the podium. "I’m here to give everyone a lecture."
"You, you get down from there! What the hell are you supposed to be, what qualifications do you have to lecture my students?"
Zhang Mingli scolded him impatiently. "If you keep acting out, I’ll have security throw you out."
"Zhang Mingli, you’re the one who needs to show some respect."
Right then, two elderly men and a middle-aged man walked in.
"Professor Zhang, Professor Li, Dean..."
Zhang Mingli jumped in fright and hurriedly bowed to the three of them.
"Tang Ming is a specially appointed teaching staff member of the Medical College. From now on he’ll be responsible for teaching this year’s students Traditional Chinese Medicine. If you dare be rude again, you can pack up and leave!"
The dean’s face darkened and he roared viciously.
"He’s teaching staff?"
Zhang Mingli’s mouth twitched, and all the students below were completely stunned.
Last semester, Tang Ming had still been a student sitting there with them. Now with one turn of the hand he’d become a teacher, a lecturer, that leap was a bit too big!
"Ignorant."
The two old professors shot Zhang Mingli a contemptuous glare, then took their folders and found places to sit down, gazing intently at Tang Ming on the podium like they were just a pair of students.
The dean also hurriedly found a place to sit. Seeing Zhang Mingli still standing there in a daze, he urged impatiently, "Class has already started. Go do whatever you’re supposed to be doing, and stop getting in the way of our listening to the lecture."
"I..."
Zhang Mingli’s mouth twitched again, then he walked out in a fog, having absolutely no idea what was going on.
On the other side, Meng Xianjun and Shao Wuyou also had their jaws hanging open, totally bewildered.
"Hello everyone, my name is Tang Ming. From today on I’ll be your instructor for Traditional Chinese Medicine. Now, please turn your textbooks to page three..."
Standing properly on the podium, Tang Ming introduced himself, then actually started lecturing.
"Goddammit, I must still be drunk from last night, this has to be a dream. I’m dreaming."
Watching Tang Ming looking all serious as he lectured on stage, while the two professors and the dean listened with rapt attention, Shao Wuyou was completely thrown into chaos.
"I—I also suspect I drank fake liquor yesterday. This is way too out of line with common sense."
Meng Xianjun swallowed hard. Even though he knew Tang Ming didn’t like walking the beaten path, this was a bit much. Jumping straight from a freshman to a university lecturer—was there no justice left?
"You two over there, please listen carefully and stop whispering to each other."
At this moment, Tang Ming suddenly pointed at Meng Xianjun and Shao Wuyou and sternly reprimanded them.
All at once, everyone’s gaze shifted to Meng Xianjun and Shao Wuyou, making both of their faces burn red. But there was nothing they could do; Tang Ming was the lecturer now.
Considering that Liu Mengting was studying at Imperial University, Tang Ming ultimately decided to return to Imperial University as well. He even used the pull of a few big shots in the Medical College to get Zhou Xiaoqian transferred over to Imperial University.
Medical University might be a paradise for men, but Tang Ming wasn’t lacking in women, and that environment over there wasn’t suitable for letting Zhou Xiaoqian stay any longer.
The two professors and the dean of the Medical College valued and admired Tang Ming extremely highly. They agreed to his request without hesitation, and even took the initiative to have Tang Ming serve as a lecturer for the Medical College. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
Although Tang Ming hadn’t gotten any ranking in the medical competition, after everything that happened, the two professors and the dean could tell there was something fishy about that competition. Otherwise, there was no way a Medical University student like Zhou Xiaoqian would outshine Tang Ming and Hua Yingjie.
And just like that, Tang Ming returned to Imperial University. Only this time, his identity jumped from a freshman to a university lecturer, directly shocking a whole bunch of people.
As for Tang Ming, he didn’t feel much about it. With his level of Medical Skill, even having professors as his students would be perfectly justified.
The first class of the semester, which was also the first class with Tang Ming as lecturer, wrapped up smoothly. Regardless of what the students thought, the two old professors and the dean were very satisfied with what Tang Ming taught. That alone was enough.
