My Co-renting Lady Boss
Chapter 1952 - 1948: Not Suitable to Stay in the Dark Group
After class, Meng Xianjun and Shao Wuyou immediately chased after Tang Ming.
"You’re taking this too far; how did you suddenly become a lecturer?"
Shao Wuyou asked Tang Ming with a speechless expression.
"Is there a problem? Wasn’t my lecture good?"
Tang Ming playfully rolled his eyes at Shao Wuyou.
"It was great, just too good! The two professors and the dean were all stunned."
Zhou Xiaoqian excitedly hugged Tang Ming’s arm.
"Hey, hey, hey, now that Tang Ming is a lecturer at the school, you guys need to be mindful of your behavior."
Meng Xianjun promptly reminded sternly, "Teacher-student relationships aren’t something glorious at school; don’t set a bad example for the students."
"Seems so."
Tang Ming thought for a moment, let Zhou Xiaoqian release him, and tidied his clothes: "Either way, I’m a role model now, so I can’t goof around with you unreliable folks."
"Damn!"
Meng Xianjun and Shao Wuyou immediately showed contempt and gave Tang Ming the middle finger.
"Alright, alright, I arranged to meet Liu Mengting in the cafeteria; do you guys want to come along?"
Tang Ming rolled his eyes and asked with a smile.
"Of course, we want to! Now our dorm is pretty much wasted; both you and Hua Yingjie don’t live there, so we should spend more time with the people from Liu Mengting’s room and maybe expand our dorm members if we get the chance."
Shao Wuyou smirked sinisterly.
"Oh, hell, do you think our school is Medical University? Girls can’t enter our dormitory."
Meng Xianjun sneered at Shao Wuyou, then also smiled mischievously: "But Liu Mengting’s room does have beauties; we should really have more get-togethers."
"What beasts."
Tang Ming pursed his lips, and then several people headed for the cafeteria.
Soon, the group met up with Liu Mengting and others in the cafeteria. Now Tang Ming’s dorm was missing two people, and Liu Mengting’s room was even worse; Mu Zixin was nurturing a baby, Li Xiaoli was learning, and Ma Jiaran was missing, leaving the room half empty.
When Tang Ming, Meng Xianjun, Shao Wuyou, and Zhou Xiaoqian arrived at the cafeteria, they saw Chen Cang sitting with Liu Mengting, Wu Xiaoxia, and Liu Dongmei, waiting inside.
Liu Mengting appeared quite unhappy; more accurately, very unhappy. Her good friend Li Xiaoli bizarrely dropped out to be with that Mu Zixin, giving Liu Mengting the feeling that not only were her man was snatched away, but even her friends.
Liu Dongmei helplessly consoled her non-stop, while Wu Xiaoxia seemed indifferent, wearing headphones with a disengaged look.
"Brother Ming, you finally came; quickly explain to Meng Ting, or she’ll cry."
Seeing Tang Ming and others arrive, Chen Cang called out in dismay.
"What’s going on?"
Once seated, Tang Ming looked at Liu Mengting in confusion.
"You bastard, it was just a winter break, and you made three people disappear from our dorm."
Liu Mengting glared at Tang Ming angrily.
"Ma Jiaran went missing at sea, you know that! As for Li Xiaoli and Mu Zixin, you’re aware of their situation too, is it worth being this angry?"
Tang Ming looked at Liu Mengting speechlessly.
"Hmph! But you didn’t tell me they wouldn’t be back after the school opened! Now our dorm is desolate; only the three of us are left."
Liu Mengting pouted discontentedly.
"It is a bit desolate, although we used to mess around, at least the six-person dorm was full. Now with just three people, it’s too empty."
Liu Dongmei nodded repeatedly, looking gloomy at Wu Xiaoxia: "Xiaoxia is always aloof, leaving only me and Mengting to chat."
"That’s kind of nice; fewer people, fewer troubles!"
Tang Ming grinned and sighed regrettably: "Too bad Xiaoqian is a Medical College student and can’t live with you all, otherwise I could let her live with you."
"Xiaoqian is also in school, can she adapt to new roommates?"
Liu Mengting looked at Zhou Xiaoqian in doubt.
"Ah, I, I’m okay."
Zhou Xiaoqian quickly replied and, less noticeably, glanced at Tang Ming; she hadn’t lived in a student dorm at all.
"I heard you established a Sect, very impressive."
Wu Xiaoxia took off her headphones and looked at Tang Ming peculiarly.
"It’s just average; matters from the Martial Arts shouldn’t be brought to the city; it’s pointless."
Tang Ming shrugged, reflecting as he scanned the surroundings: "Looking at these vibrant students, and thinking back on the experiences from this period, suddenly the bloodstained storms from Martial Arts seem like a dream."
"Exactly, urban life is indeed better! No constant fighting, plus endless fun."
Meng Xianjun deeply resonated with this sentiment.
"In that case, you all should stop running off to the Martial Arts for nothing; stay in school, study well, drink big, eat big, and enjoy flirting in abundance."
Shao Wuyou excitedly invited.
"Hmph, doesn’t he have enough girls already?"
Upon hearing this, Liu Mengting immediately glared fiercely at Tang Ming.
Then, everyone started catching up and chatting, and soon the atmosphere became lively.
Ultimately, in school, everyone’s a kid; even though Tang Ming became a lecturer, there remained no gap between him and Liu Mengting and the others.
After eating and drinking enough, those with classes in the afternoon returned to their dormitories to rest, while Tang Ming, having completed his curriculum, left the school.
One great perk of becoming a lecturer was freedom. University lecturers differ from high school teachers; they aren’t required to stay on campus and can leave after lectures.
Of course, lecturers with packed schedules mostly choose to stay at school, but the two old professors, considering Tang Ming’s age and ability, didn’t give him too many courses—just four classes a week, with the rest of his time free to manage.
This arrangement was made because the two old professors and the dean hadn’t considered Tang Ming as a real lecturer; they simply wanted him to remain at the school.
Rather than saying these four classes are Tang Ming lecturing students, it would be better to say they wanted Tang Ming to lecture them.
Tang Ming drove out of the school, heading to the Dark Group headquarters. Now that he was a lecturer, he could drive around the campus, not appearing ostentatious.
In the Dark Group headquarters office, Zhou Xiong rubbed his temples with a frown, conflicted as he faced Tang Ming sitting across: "Xiao Tang, why do you want to resign again? What’s going on?"
"I didn’t get a position in the Medical competition nor gained an overseas exchange student slot, so the subsequent tasks can’t be executed. Staying in the Dark Group is meaningless."
Tang Ming sat calmly in his chair, explaining: "Moreover, my current status is unsuitable for staying in the Dark Group."
"You, are you referring to the Dragon Group affair?"
Zhou Xiong’s expression became serious.
"You know?"
Tang Ming was slightly surprised.
