"I am the former Hokage as you said, such laws do not apply to me," Hiruzen smugly smirked at him, making Danzo huff in annoyance, "But regardless, it is that I speak of yes."
"And why are you bringing that up now?" Danzo prompted, "It was an ingenious plan on Tobirama-sama’s part. And has gone a long way to see to the prosperity of the village. The Senju should be praised for their sacrifice."
Indeed. Decades ago, not long after the passing of Hashirama-sama, there was a fervour among the other villages. To kill off the Senju clan, so that no other shinobi of Hashirama’s ilk could ever come from the clan.
It was so bad, that even civilians of the Senju clan had bounties upon their heads. The Nidaime Hokage however, came up with a solution that would not only help protect the Senju, but strengthen the village.
All it would take, was them giving up any ties to their clan name. Over the next few generations, the Senju clan would marry outside the clan, completely unlike the Uchiha or even the Hyuuga.
Many always wondered why prodigies popped up within the Leaf Village so frequently. It was because the blood of the Senju ran thick within the village as a whole.
More than thirty percent of the villages residents, could claim blood ties to the Senju if they were to be tested on that front.
But none would ever know, that the Senju clan were alive and strong. They were just hidden under the veneer of different family names.
"I had thought Daiki-kun to be a descendant of Hashirama-sama," Hiruzen replied, making Danzo whip his head around to look at him with an annoying intensity, "The hair colour, the tan skin, and his build. Even his boisterous personality and confidence. They reminded me of Hashirama-sama. And thought he was descended from one of his philandering excretions."
Danzo stared at him silently for a moment, "I assume the ’had thought’, means you were incorrect?"
"Indeed, though I was not far off." Hiruzen replied, summoning a set of documents in a folder, a medical document folder to be specific from the seal upon his palm.
"You copied that too I see, you thieving monkey," Danzo snorted, taking the document and opening it. His eyes roamed over the first document, then the second, and first in quick succession, his eyebrow raising higher and higher with each word read, "...This....Are you sure about this?" his old friend turned to him then and asked, wonder upon his face and mouth hanging slightly open.
Such was how shocking the information on those documents were.
"The blood does not lie. I tested some of the blood Daiki-kun shed during our spars," Hiruzen nodded, "He tested positive. I had not expected it of him, I had asumed he died leaving no descendants behind."
For Daiki’s mother, was none other than the granddaughter of Senju Tobirama.
Making Daki his Great Grandson.
Danzo shook his head, "Tobirama-sama was very private in that regard, and considering the other members of his clan were giving up their name by his law, he would have had it adhered to even for his own child," he replied, before his lips tugged up slightly into a pleased smile, "To think Daiki-kun was Tobirama-sama’s descendant all along."
Indeed.
The Senju Clan truly were alive and strong. Perhaps even stronger now than in their prime with the Shodai Hokage and Nidaime Hokage both living.
"The question is though, why you are bringing this up with me," Danzo said, handing the documents back to him, "And not Daiki-kun himself."
"I wished for a second opinion," Hiruzen took a deep puff from his pipe as he sealed the documents away again, "Daiki-kun is already quite radicalized against other villages, especially Cloud and Stone. He was quite vocal already during his speech to the village about how Tobirama-sama died, if he were to find out that Tobirama-sama is his great grandfather he will use it as another weapon against the Cloud and more proof that his desire for war, is the correct one."
"It is the correct one," Danzo scoffed at him, "And he will use it to his advantage in any way he can. Though, there is no point holding back on it. Regardless of him knowing about it or not, he wants to conquer the Cloud and has already set it in motion."
Hiruzen stared at him blankly, "Just what was in that letter Daiki-kun sent to the Raikage?" he had to wonder.
"Polite requests in return for their transgressions," Danzo waved him off, as if it were not important, "As I said, Daiki-kun was exceedingly generous, affable and polite to the Raikage in his letter. His diplomatic skills are truly something to behold, I truly was in awe Hiruzen."
...Oh dear.
And just as he thought that, he and Danzo both looked over their shoulders just in time for a familiar cat masked anbu to appear in a swirl of leaves, "Sandaime-sama, Elder Shimura-sama," she greeted, dropping to a knee and bowing her head, "Your presence has been requested in the broadcast centre. The Raikage is demanding a face to face audience with Hokage-sama."
Hiruzen’s head mechanically turned to look at Danzo, who just smiled at him genially.
Genial and Danzo were the furthest things apart.
"And what has Godaime-sama had to say about this?" Hiruzen asked, turning back to look at Cat, "I assume he is the one calling for our presence?"
Cat hesitated for a moment, "...In a manner of speaking," the purple haired woman replied, "When the call came through, Hokage-sama ignored the summons and told the broadcast team to tell the Raikage to wait, he was busy. He then proceeded to dismiss himself. As it turns out, it was just a Shadow Clone...and the real Hokage-sama ordered for you two to be summoned, after an hour."
...An hour?
Daiki had put the Raikage on hold, for an hour?
"And where is Daiki-kun now?" Hiruzen asked, brow raising. He was surprised at how calm he was.
"...He is, in his own words, training with his concubine. The Uzumaki girl that used to serve the traitor Orochimaru." Cat reported.
"As expected of Hokage-sama," Danzo nodded, as if that made total sense, "He is not beholden to that foolish hot head of a Raikage. If he wishes to speak to Hokage-sama, then he should wait until he is not busy."
No, no. One did not make the Raikage, especially one as hot headed and prone to violent outbursts as A wait like a common citizen.
Oh dear he repeated internally, this was all part of Daiki’s plan wasn’t it? And the Raikage had played straight into it.
Just what was in that letter to make the Raikage so furious he was demanding a face to face video call?
It seemed Danzo was correct though. There truly was no point in withholding this information about the Nidaime Hokage from Daiki.
And there was no way he was training with that girl. Unless training was a new euphemism the youth used now as code for sex. He was having sex with that girl while making the Raikage of all people sit, stew and wait upon him like a common servant.

"Your call is very important to us. Please hold the line, and someone will be with you as soon as they are available." A’s eye twitched as he heard that for the 69th time.
"You have reached the maximum number of call attempts. Please try again in 24 hours. Have a lovely day~!"
Daiki: Ah, Raikage, I’d apologise for the delay, but I don’t actually care.
