Chapter 558: The 13 Levels Of Enlightenment.

"Entry Time Limit is 10 minutes..."

Once the loud robotic voice finished its address, a dark hole opened at the center of the tall tower-like temple where beasts could pass through. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

As soon as this hole opened up, the beasts did not hesitate as they swam forward to enter one at a time. None of them rushed, nor did they dare to stir trouble, the watching ghost warriors were still lingering like sentries.

Sebastian confirmed that nothing was wrong before he also swam forward to enter. In no time, he arrived before the dark hole then he went in.

Whoosh!

This was not space magic, Sebastian was not teleported away, rather it was like he was sucked in by the darkness as he disappeared the next moment.

In the darkness all around him, Sebastian heard different sounds ranging from machinery sounds to sounds like those of chirping birds as these all combined together to form a chaotic cacophony of noise.

He could not see during this time, all his senses were blocked and with time, Sebastian felt a familiar energy invading his body and suppressing it.

After what felt like a few minutes, his system lit up a notification.

[Warning! Host’s mind stabilizer has been suppressed; you can no longer access your mind power nor use telekinesis!]

Once he saw this, Sebastian could only sigh in exasperation since he kind of already expected it. Once his magic and his telekinesis powers were suppressed, the darkness surrounding him finally disappeared.

Sebastian opened his eyes to behold the inside of the temple. As he guessed, he was not teleported anywhere, he was just sucked inside the temple.

Inside the temple of enlightenment was massive and the background color was green. Inside the temple was plain with no decorations or furnishing, the only thing present was a huge stake at the center of the temple.

This massive stake seemed like it was piercing through the top of the temple, and its most significant element was the 13 levels that it had.

The first level was the most massive one, followed by the 2nd, then the 3rd, and the others till the 13th level. As the levels increased, so did its size reduces.

Sebastian was not the only one here, all the other beasts who came here for this opportunity were already gathered here as their attention was drawn in completely by the massive 13-leveled stake.

While they observed the huge stake, the 10 minutes that was given for entry was exceeded as the gates of the temple of enlightenment were locked again.

Once the door locked, a low rumbling sound reverberated as the temple shook before retreating underground the next moment.

The small window of opportunity where the temple of enlightenment opened was already over, now it retreated to the embrace of the ground.

Once the temple retreated underground, the robotic voice came back but this time accompanying it was a chubby robot of high intelligence.

This was a robot, but the few beasts who had soul-related magic domains here were shocked when their intuition told them that this robot had a soul.

They could only marvel at the soul magic attainments of the Soul Sage.

Once the robot arrived, he spoke. "Approximately 60,000 beasts entered the temple this time, but the set limit for enlightenment is 10,000".

"According to the Soul Sage, life is a game of luck. You are lucky to be the only sperm survivor among millions, you are lucky to be the one who kills and remains unkilled, luck is the only constant in the world that is hard to control".

"Luck..., is a thing of fate and destiny".

"Today, the 10,000 beasts who would remain to get the enlightenment of the Sage would be selected by luck. Hope for the best but expect disappointment".

"You, you are selected!"

"You are disqualified!"

The beasts were dumbfounded as before their very eyes, the robot started a game of luck where a lot of them were already getting disqualified.

Those that were disqualified were stunned as they tried to fight back for their place, but the robot quickly booted them out of the temple.

"System, increase my luck!"

[Affirmative!]

Not willing to rely on luck, Sebastian sought his own luck and it worked as when the robot came to him, he was marked as selected.

After over a dozen minutes when a majority of the beasts who entered here were disqualified, the robot finally turned again to face those that were selected.

"Congratulations on qualifying!"

"The mechanism of the temple of enlightenment is very simple".

"The temple itself was created using the life essence of the Soul Sage, while the epiphany stake was specifically created using the spinal cord and some brain tissues of the Soul Sage".

"The whole temple supports comprehension, but the stake is the base".

"The epiphany stake is divided into 13 levels".

"When you first enter, the temple will adjust and place you at a level equivalent to your current origin law accumulation. After that, you will need to get enlightenment to progress further to climb the levels".

"The only tip is to always let the enlightenment lead; your job is to follow".

"You can now enter the epiphany stake; the duration is a month".

"Your time started once you set your foot upon this temple".

After he was done with his speech, the robot disappeared, leaving them to their devices. While most were still contemplating, some beasts were even more decisive as they barged into the huge stake to start their comprehension journey.

Sebastian having laid low since also made his move. He had no intention to waste this opportunity, he would make the best use of it.

Once Sebastian entered the huge stake, the green background of the temple disappeared as it was replaced with a white that he was familiar with.

Sebastian finally entered the domain of enlightenment.
