Chapter 486: Smashing the Overlord, Crushing Imu Head-On

Rocks D. Xebec crawled out of the collapsed mountain ruins. His arrogant face was now twisted beyond recognition. Unknown black energy flowed across the surface of his body like viscous liquid. This was his deepest hidden trump card—the awakened power of the Dark-Dark Fruit (Variant) mixed with top-tier Conqueror’s Haki. The surrounding light was completely swallowed by this power, and even the sky plunged into absolute darkness.

Xebec let out a roar that barely sounded human. He was unwilling to accept this. He was the man destined to become the King of the World. How could he be beaten to death by a mere Marine’s fists here?

Gripping his broken sword with both hands, he transformed into an all-consuming black hole and smashed toward Garp. The air fractured with deafening, explosive pops along his path, and the ground was torn apart into a massive gorge by the gravitational pull.

Garp stood his ground, casually picking his ear. He curled his lip at the menacing black hole. "All flash and no substance. Can’t you just fight with real, flesh-to-flesh punches?"

Garp had no intention of dodging. He took a half-step back with his right foot. Sage Art Chakra spun madly within his body, and the green flames flared over a dozen meters high. He didn’t even bother using the Tremor-Tremor Fruit. Relying purely on physical strength combined with the explosive power of the Seventh Gate of the Eight Inner Gates, Garp threw a punch straight into the black hole.

Fist met black hole. There was no stalemate. Xebec’s proud dark energy collapsed instantly in the face of absolute physical trauma. The black energy fractured and dissipated like smoke blown away by a gale.

Garp’s fist landed squarely on Xebec’s face. The crisp sound of his nasal bone snapping echoed through the air as his teeth and blood sprayed out. Xebec tumbled through the air more than a dozen times before crashing into the ground.

Garp didn’t give him a chance to breathe. Using Moonwalk, he chased after him and stomped heavily onto Xebec’s chest. The immense force drove the pirate straight into the deep crust of the earth. The land of God Valley trembled violently once again.

Desperately, Xebec swung his broken sword, trying to counterattack. Garp reached out with his left hand, pinched the blade, and snapped it in two with a single twist. He tossed the broken blade aside and rained his right fist down on Xebec’s head. Every punch carried a piercing sonic boom, and every strike caved the ground in a few inches deeper.

"King of the World? You think you can be a king with this flimsy, soft strength?" Garp cursed between punches. "I’ll shatter your ambitions along with your bones today!"

Xebec was beaten so badly he couldn’t even scream. His much-vaunted Conqueror’s Haki had been violently hammered away. The most vicious man on the seas was now nothing more than a punching bag, completely stripped of any ability to resist.

Standing atop the wooden giant’s head, Sengoku shook his head. This old dog Garp hits way too ruthlessly. Xebec is an overlord of an era, after all. Couldn’t he leave the man a little dignity?

Despite his thoughts, Sengoku was secretly thrilled. He simply sat cross-legged on the Buddha’s head and enjoyed the show. He had already made back his one hundred million Beri ticket price by beating up Kaido and Big Mom. Now, he could just treat this as a free action blockbuster.

In the distance, Commander-in-Chief Kong was thoroughly numb. He felt he could retire early after today. With freaks like Garp and Sengoku around, the Marines didn’t need him to lead them.

Saint Figarland Garling shivered on a safe high platform. Looking at the Marine Vice Admiral rubbing Xebec into the dirt, he cursed Garp’s ancestors for eighteen generations. This wasn’t someone here to protect the Celestial Dragons; this was a madman far more terrifying than Xebec.

Garp was having the time of his life. He felt his one hundred million Beri was incredibly well-spent. Where else could he experience the thrill of beating up the legends of the past and future one by one?

Just as he raised his fist to deliver the final blow to Xebec, an extremely eerie presence suddenly descended upon the battlefield. This aura didn’t belong to Haki, nor did it stem from any Devil Fruit. It carried a supreme, absolute coercion—like a god looking down on mortals.

In the instant this aura swept through, the surviving Marine and pirate fodder foamed at the mouth and fainted directly.

Garp paused and turned toward the source of the presence. An old man leaning on a cane slowly walked out of the ruins. He wore a flat hat and had a prominent scar on his face. It was one of the Five Elders, the Warrior God of Science and Defense, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn.

The highest authority of the World Government had originally come to God Valley to oversee the battle. However, his current state was deeply unnatural. Saturn’s gait was stiff, moving like a marionette being controlled from behind.

The most bizarre change was in his eyes. His normally cloudy sclera had turned blood red, and ripples of concentric circles floated within his pupils. Those eyes held no human emotion—only absolute, hollow apathy.

Garp narrowed his eyes. He had seen that look before. In the real world, inside the Partys Bar in Foosha Village, that black-robed Imu had the exact same sickening gaze. It seemed this dungeon world not only perfectly replicated God Valley, but also dragged in the old monster hiding on the Empty Throne in Mary Geoise.

However, this Imu had nothing to do with the real-world one who had spent eight hundred years of lifespan to buy Chi. This was merely a data projection generated by the dungeon system. Imu had clearly possessed Saturn, using the Five Elder’s vessel to descend upon the battlefield.

Saturn stopped. He struck his cane heavily against the ground, sending an invisible ripple outward from his center. The surrounding flames were instantly extinguished. The air turned incredibly viscous, making even breathing difficult.

"Enough." Saturn’s voice was hoarse and ethereal, carrying an unquestionable tone of command. "Monkey D. Garp. Cease your vulgar actions. Spare Xebec’s life."

The tone was arrogant in the extreme, treating Garp as nothing more than a dog to be beckoned at will. Imu needed Xebec alive to maintain the balance of the seas, to ensure the pirates and Marines continued to wear each other down. This was the World Government’s consistent method of rule for eight hundred years.

Sitting on the Buddha’s head, Sengoku furrowed his brow. He recognized Saturn, of course, and noticed the wrongness in that voice. Yet he remained silent. He knew Garp’s temper was not something to provoke right now.

Garp released his grip on Xebec’s collar. He stood up slowly and turned to face the Imu-possessed Saturn. He didn’t kneel and salute like other Marines. He didn’t even show a hint of respect. He simply stuck his pinky in his nose, dug around, and flicked a dark booger onto the ground.

"I was wondering who it was. Turns out it’s the rat from Mary Geoise who hides from the light." Garp stretched his large mouth into a grin, his laughter filled with undisguised wildness and violence. "What are you doing crawling out in the body of an old geezer? What, sitting on the Empty Throne for too long gave you hemorrhoids?"

Saturn’s concentric ring eyes narrowed slightly. A massive mental pressure locked directly onto Garp. "Watch your words, member of the D Clan. You are nothing but a dog raised by the World Government. A dog only needs to obey its master’s commands."

Instead of getting angry, Garp let out a deafening roar of manic laughter. The sound echoed across the ruined skies of God Valley. He laughed so hard tears almost streamed from his eyes. Wiping the corners of his eyes, Garp looked at Saturn, his gaze turning incredibly dangerous.

The green Sage Art flames reignited across his body, and blue Lightning Release arcs crackled through the air.

"A dog? I spent one hundred million Beri to buy a ticket in here. It wasn’t to act as a dog for you Celestial Dragons."

Garp walked toward Saturn step by step. With every stride, the ground beneath his feet spider-webbed into massive cracks. His aura grew increasingly terrifying, making even the Imu possessing Saturn feel a twinge of unease.

"What are you doing, Garp? Do you intend to defy the will of the World Government?" Saturn pointed his cane at Garp. A blinding red light gathered at the tip—destructive energy capable of flattening an entire island.

Garp didn’t care about the red light. He simply cracked his knuckles. "I was having too much fun beating Xebec just now. I almost forgot about you."

The smile completely vanished from Garp’s face, replaced by absolute coldness. "I came to God Valley today not just to beat up pirates, but more importantly, to clean up you high-and-mighty pieces of trash while I’m at it."

Garp clenched his right fist tightly. The brilliant white light of the perfected Tremor-Tremor Fruit illuminated his entire arm.

"Imu, is it? I don’t care if you’re a possession or the main body. Even if a god comes today, I’m going to beat lumps all over your head!"

As his words fell, Garp blurred into a streak of green lightning, tearing straight through the viscous air created by Saturn. Appearing instantly before Saturn, his fist—wrapped in lightning, tremors, and Sage Art Chakra—smashed unapologetically toward that stunned face.
