Only I am Venerable
Chapter 112 - 110: The Troublemakers
"How dare you!" After slapping the girl, the middle-aged man glared and roared, "Have you forgotten your place? How dare you show such disrespect to my Little General! Are you fucking blind?!"
The tall girl cupped her face in disbelief as her eyes quickly brimmed with tears. Her expression was one of pure indignation, but she bit her lip hard, refusing to let them fall. She fixed a defiant gaze on the shameless middle-aged man.
"Well, well, I didn’t realize you were such a stubborn little thing, were you?" The scene the middle-aged man had been hoping for—the girl breaking down and wailing, satisfying some sick part of him—never came. He couldn’t help but say with a cold smile, "I wonder... if I were to buy you and strip you naked, would you still be looking at me with those eyes?"
His voice grew sharp and incensed as he spat out the last few words.
It all happened in an instant. Qin Li and Bu Yunyan had just reached the bottom of the stairs when they witnessed their employee being humiliated.
A flash of killing intent glinted in Qin Li’s eyes. Bu Yunyan, walking beside him, sensed it immediately and gently squeezed his hand.
"Well now, if it isn’t the high-and-mighty Boss Bu," the middle-aged man sneered, watching Bu Yunyan descend the stairs. His gaze then shifted to Qin Li.
"Who is he?" The question came from Du Ziteng, who had been standing there enjoying the show without a word. His charming, almond-shaped eyes shot a disdainful look at Qin Li as he asked again, "Who is he?"
Anyone could hear the jealousy in Du Ziteng’s voice. An unknowing observer might have even thought he was vying for a lover’s affection. ’Looks like these rich playboys aren’t entirely useless. At least they’re decent actors!’
"And who might you be?" Qin Li asked, his gaze cold as he looked coolly at Du Ziteng.
"Insolent cur!" the middle-aged man roared again. "Are you fucking blind? How dare you speak to my Little General like that! My Little General is—"
"Shut your damn mouth!" Qin Li said coldly, without even sparing the man a glance. "When your betters are speaking, what right does a lackey like you have to interrupt?"
"You dare! Seize him—" The middle-aged man flew into a rage, but Qin Li cut him off once more.
"I told you to shut up! Didn’t you hear me, you worthless cur?!" Qin Li roared at the middle-aged man, his voice low and booming. He had infused the shout with his Spiritual Power. How could a man of such little strength possibly withstand it? He stumbled back three or four steps and fell right on his ass.
The bystanders, however, couldn’t sense this spiritual fluctuation. They only saw the middle-aged man’s pathetic display, thinking he had been frightened into such a state by a mere youth.
Qin Li paid the middle-aged man no mind, instead walking over to the stunned, tall girl. "Does it hurt?" he asked gently.
The tall, pretty girl nodded. She didn’t say a word, but she could no longer hold back her tears, which began streaming down her face. She knew who this young man was, of course—even her boss treated him with great respect. She just didn’t want her own suffering to cause trouble for the kind-hearted Boss Bu, who had always been so good to them.
And so, she shook her head through her tears and said, "Sir, I... it doesn’t hurt."
"Don’t be afraid," Qin Li said, his voice gentle. "I’m sorry I was late. You shouldn’t have had to endure that." His words warmed the girl’s heart, but she shook her head frantically. "Sir, it’s alright! It’s really alright!"
"Yan’Er, come get some medicine to put on her face. A girl’s looks are important." After speaking, Qin Li turned toward Little General Du, who was watching him with a cold smirk. Seeing his mocking expression, like someone watching a play unfold, Qin Li knew. ’This middle-aged man probably isn’t a servant of the Du Family. Even a lackey doing his master’s dirty work wouldn’t steal the show this brazenly, saying whatever he pleased.’
’But who the hell cares who he is! I don’t even give a damn about the Crown Prince—a ten-meter roll of white mourning cloth was enough to scare him into hiding in the palace for half a year!’
’You think I’m going to be scared of some effeminate pretty boy playing tough?’
"Kid, you’re dead meat!" The middle-aged man finally scrambled to his feet. There was a flicker of fear in his eyes, but it was overshadowed by his rage.
"You dare to hit me? Do you have any idea who I am?"
"I don’t give a damn who you are." Qin Li walked up to the man, a smirk playing on his lips. "Which hand," he asked, "did you use to hit her?"
The middle-aged man’s eyes narrowed. He suddenly exuded an imposing aura and let out a shrill laugh. "Kid, trying to act like a street punk? It doesn’t matter which hand I used. I hit her, and that’s that! You may be dressed decently, but you shouldn’t go around provoking people you can’t afford to offend! Well, you’ve pissed me off now. But when I take care of someone, I always let them know exactly who’s killing them and why. Let me tell you straight—ever heard of the Daqing Gang? I am the Master of the Daqing Gang!"
Upon hearing the two words "Daqing Gang," the faces of the nearby crowd went pale, and they gasped in shock. Their gazes toward Qin Li, Bu Yunyan, and their people were now filled with pity, as if they were looking at dead men walking.

The main Chapter is over 3,100 characters long. I’d like to say a few words here and ask everyone for a monthly ticket!
I originally wanted to give this book a different name, but someone else registered it first. Just when I, Xiaodao, was at a loss, inspiration struck, and I came up with the title *Only I am Venerable*!
I then realized what a powerful title it is. According to the interpretation from Buddhism, *Only I am Venerable* means to take control of your own destiny, because every single person is unique!
If we go by the common, everyday interpretation, well, it has a completely different meaning. I don’t need to spell it out; you all get it.
I, Xiaodao, am not so arrogant as to think I’m better than anyone else.
But writing a book is all about fighting spirit! It’s like how in life, even if you fight for nothing else, you must fight to prove your worth!
If, after this book goes premium, I (Xiaodao) find that its performance is worse than my previous work, *Aojian*, and I just start phoning it in with 3,000-character updates a day, letting it languish while I prepare a new book... that would truly be a disgrace to this title!
It would be like that one Chapter I still haven’t unlocked to this day.
I refuse to accept it! I won’t give up!
As long as a person has breath in their chest, their fighting spirit must never falter!
We also have 34,000 brothers and sisters in our community! 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
We also have the loyal readers who followed us over from *Aojian*!
We also have tens of thousands of new readers who support us!
So... why should we admit defeat?
But the lack of monthly tickets is truly disappointing. A hundred tickets seems like an impossible goal. We’re only ten tickets away, but it feels so distant.
But I have never given up hope!
I drag myself out of bed after eleven in the morning, wash my face, eat, and then sit down at my computer and start writing.
I keep at it late into the night. When most people are sound asleep, I, Xiaodao, am still sitting there, writing away!
At two or three in the morning, when nearly everyone is fast asleep, I quietly slip into bed, terrified of waking my wife and child. Then I lie there, planning out the next day’s Chapters!
This is how I’ve been living these past days.
Some people say, "You’re just in it for the money!"
And they’re right. I do write to support my family. I’ve only made it this far because of all your support.
I never say things I don’t mean, because there’s no point in being insincere.
But if I were to pour all this energy into a new book, I believe the results might be better. At the very least, it wouldn’t be worse than *Only I am Venerable*!
But I haven’t done that. I believe that as long as I keep working this hard, *Only I am Venerable* will one day truly rise up and, among all the books I’ve written, become truly second to none!
I hope you can all give me that chance. Please support the official release and lend me a monthly ticket. I will give it my all to bring you into a spectacular Xuan story!
I will not break my promise!!!! (To be continued. To read more Chapters, please visit www.qidian.com and support the author and official publication!)
