Our Anniversary, You Chose Her – I Chose Divorce
Chapter 456: Learned It From You
Chloe Reed said, "She’s in the car downstairs. You can come with me and see."
Charles Reed frowned and asked, "Why didn’t you bring her up?"
As he spoke, he anxiously started walking out.
"Charles, wait for me." Susan Bowman was also very anxious. She hadn’t seen her granddaughter in a long time and missed her dearly.
Charles Reed turned back and supported Susan Bowman as they walked ahead. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Chloe Reed watched them, her eyes cold and indifferent.
"Chloe."
Autumn Linton’s gentle voice sounded. "Sunny... is she okay?"
Clear mockery surfaced in Chloe Reed’s eyes. "So concerned about Sunny Reed?"
Autumn Linton’s eyes flickered. She said, "We’re the ones who wronged her. We just want to do our best to make it up to her."
"What a noble sentiment." Chloe Reed let out a dry laugh, then turned and walked away.
"Chloe..."
Autumn Linton watched her retreating figure, her heart in a panic. ’I have a feeling I’m losing my grip on both of my daughters.’
But Chloe Reed paid her no mind, striding quickly out of the hospital.
The car was parked on a back street behind the hospital. The area was sparsely populated and wouldn’t cause a commotion.
When Chloe Reed walked over, she saw Susan Bowman crying as she held Sunny Reed’s hand. Charles Reed’s expression was extremely grim.
Walker Grant was leaning against another car, a cigarette between his fingers, watching everything with an indifferent gaze.
When he saw her appear, the coldness in his eyes dissipated slightly. He extinguished his cigarette and walked straight toward her.
Seeing her expression was normal, he knew she hadn’t been affected by Autumn Linton, and he could finally relax.
"Chloe Reed, you vicious bitch! How dare you poison my granddaughter!"
The moment Susan Bowman saw her, her face twisted as she cursed, the finger she pointed at Chloe trembling slightly. She was so agitated it looked like she might faint at any second.
Charles Reed also looked at her coldly. "How could you poison her? When did you become so malicious?"
Chloe Reed looked at him with a placid expression and said, "I learned from you, of course. With such excellent teachers, it’s no wonder I’m a fast learner."
Charles Reed’s expression darkened further, but he still suppressed his temper and asked, "Where’s the antidote?"
Chloe Reed scoffed, "The antidote?"
"There is no antidote!" Susan Bowman was exceptionally agitated. "If you dare poison my granddaughter, then I’ll make that old hag Diana Sutton die!"
"Fine by me." Chloe Reed stared at her coldly. "The poison Sunny has is different from the one my grandmother has. Sunny won’t die, but she’ll have to watch her own hands and feet rot away, savoring a pain worse than death, bit by bit. That’s a feeling not just anyone can endure."
She was bluffing.
She had no idea what kind of poison Walker Grant had prepared.
But in a situation like this, of course she was going to say whatever was most terrifying.
"You... you..."
Susan Bowman’s face was filled with disbelief. "You’re truly vicious!"
Chloe Reed stepped forward. "Who’s really the vicious one? Interfering in another’s family even though you’re married, corrupting their child, instilling such debased ideas, and turning a mother and daughter against each other—the truly vicious one here is you, isn’t it!"
"You... you...!"
Susan Bowman’s face turned ugly from the tirade.
"Grandma."
Sunny Reed’s weak voice sounded out. "What... did you do?"
Chloe Reed looked at her. "You don’t know yet? To force me to find you, they poisoned my grandmother."
Sunny Reed’s expression froze, never having imagined this was the truth.
