Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife
Chapter 2326 - 658: Ruins and Wind City! (Part 4)
"I heard a dog barking." An Yiqing frowned, turning her head to look around. Everywhere her eyes passed was nothing but ruins. This was a residential area, and these days she had rescued quite a few people from beneath the debris.
"Dog barking? Could it be a mistake? There’s no vital signs down there anymore." The soldier was startled, looking at the equipment beside him. There were no vital signs detected around, and theoretically, the equipment shouldn’t be wrong.
An Yiqing didn’t respond, she closed her eyes, held her breath, and extended her hearing. Gradually, a faint sound of barking reached her ears. The sound was coming from the south!
An Yiqing abruptly opened her eyes and looked towards the source of the barking. Activating the Clairvoyant Eye, she saw beneath the layers of ruins, there was a small hidden underground shelter! Inside the shelter, some fallen stones had coincidentally formed a triangular area. In the midst of this triangular area, a blood-covered little dog and a boy of about ten years old were barely clinging to life!
An Yiqing’s eyebrows furrowed sharply as she lifted her foot and ran in that direction.
"Hey, Xiao Qing!" The soldier shouted, trying to stop her.
"There’s an underground shelter over there, a child and a dog are trapped beneath! Follow me!" An Yiqing shouted sharply. The soldier’s heart sank upon hearing this, not bothering to consider the credibility of An Yiqing’s words, he gathered some people and followed her over.
After running over a thousand meters, An Yiqing stopped in front of a pile of rubble. She carefully examined the debris below, the triangular area was extremely dangerous and teetering. If any mishaps occurred during digging, and the triangular area collapsed, the child and dog would meet their doom.
"Don’t move!" She halted the soldiers from their digging actions, frowned as she stared ahead, her mind quickly considering feasible methods, "The place where the child is situated is too dangerous, we can only move these stones by hand."
"Move by hand?" A soldier exclaimed, the rebar and concrete left by the collapsed buildings weigh at least dozens, if not hundreds, of pounds, move by hand? Are you kidding?
An Yiqing pursed her lips, "You go find a crane, but not too big. This area is too small, it can’t withstand the vibrations of a large crane. I’ll lift these stones first, and then you use the crane to toss them out."
"You?!" The soldiers’ expressions changed, looking at An Yiqing as if she was crazy.
"What are you looking at?! Hurry up!" An Yiqing raised her brow, shouted sharply. Now is not the time to dawdle. Every second wasted means more danger for that child and dog!
The soldiers were startled by An Yiqing’s shout, somehow mindlessly turned and ran. Before long, a small crane was brought over. However, due to the site’s danger, even a slight movement could cause the triangular area to collapse. Therefore, An Yiqing instructed the crane to park fifty meters away, for this stretch they had to move the stones by hand.
An Yiqing found a long-sleeved camouflage jacket to put on, tossed a medicine kit to a junior apprentice, and rolled up her sleeves, climbing into the ruins.
She looked at the large stone blocks braced with rebar around her, waved her right hand, calling up a few strong soldiers.
"Each of you take a side, when I say lift, you lift. Remember, move gently!"
The soldiers listened to An Yiqing as if she was speaking in tongues, can just a few of them really lift something this big? Ridiculous.
Yet, inexplicably, seeing An Yiqing rolling up her sleeves, bending down, and embracing one end of the rebar, they instinctively walked to the other side.
"Everyone ready, lift!" An Yiqing shouted crisply, exerting her waist, the rebar resting on her shoulder slowly ascended. Meanwhile, the other soldiers felt the massive object moving slowly, had they really lifted the thing?!
Little did they know, the several hundred pounds of stone were mostly weighting on An Yiqing. A Demigod Peak Martial Cultivator, though unable to move mountains or seas, could still lift such a stone.
Her Inner Breath flowed rapidly, An Yiqing clenched her teeth tightly, the enormous stone pressing on her was truly burdensome. She released her Inner Breath, transforming it into an invisible force to support the stone, otherwise, relying on her strength alone, she would have been crushed into paste.
With several people slowly moving the stone, the crane was ready, as soon as they entered the crane’s control range, the hook immediately advanced, securely catching the stone.
An Yiqing breathed a sigh of relief, wiped the sweat from her forehead, and turned to continue. The soldiers exchanged glances, shock evident in their eyes.
"Why are you standing, keep going!"
Upon hearing the girl’s shout, the soldiers immediately scrambled forward, lifting another large stone.
The four large stones, weighing hundreds of pounds, took An Yiqing and the soldiers more than an hour to finally move them. Next were some smaller stones, An Yiqing against hundreds, with both hands embracing several stones, moved like the wind, leaving the soldiers stunned.
Did this girl grow up eating spinach or something? She’s too darn scary!
Not long after, a hole finally appeared in the collapsed triangular underground shelter. An Yiqing, drenched in sweat, knelt beside the opening, peering inside.
"Can you hear me?"
A moment later, a weak bark sounded from the underground shelter.
"There’s someone! Dig quickly!"
