Planet Vs Aliens: Space User Saves the World
Chapter 80: Gossiped TOO much
The food was extremely delicious. So delicious that she went ahead and ordered about a hundred or so copies of different items. As always, she used the van she had in the parking lot as a cover to take them all in.
She watched the waiters place the food on the car, and then she went to the other nearby restaurants and did the same. She chose this car because it was tinted. She also made sure there were no hidden cameras or bugs as well, so she could place the items inside into her space without worry.
Interestingly, before she left, she heard a few familiar voices at the other side of the parking lot. She blinked, paused, thought for a few moments, before closing the door and approaching the noise.
She was just going to watch. What could happen?
Some were voices from the restaurant, but they were just a few of the dozen or so people there. Naia wasn’t sure which ones were directly involved and which ones were bystanders like she was.
This parking lot was not small and shared between several establishments, including a high-end bar. This time of night, nine in the evening, happened to be the time a lot of bar hoppers arrived.
One of the voices from before looked at the couple in distaste. "Wow, so shameless, Mr. Truman. You’re showing off your mistress now, huh?"
"What mistress? Do not display your unbecoming thoughts in public, Miss, it is unsightly."
"You—"
"Master Blaine, please don’t be mad at them," a petite brunette said, grabbing the man’s arm. "There must be a misunderstanding. Didn’t...didn’t you break up already? Was it a lie?"
Naia blinked and leaned closer when she heard the familiar voice. It was none other than Carina, her step-sister.
She was wearing relatively simpler clothing now. Her makeup was still the natural look, and her temperament still soft, so Naia could understand the appeal to (stupid) men. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Today’s stupid man was Blaine Truman, from one of the richest families in the city. In terms of appearance, it was barely above-average, but he was tall, and his expensive, well-styled attire made up for his lack of a handsome face.
The man sighed, looking heartbroken at the sensible woman. "We weren’t even together! My family just keeps deciding things for me. It’s like I don’t have a mind of my own."
A curvaceous blonde stepped forward, her arms on her waist. "Blaine, I am your fiance. Are you going to keep humiliating me like this? Does our family business mean nothing to you?"
Blaine’s soft expression when facing Carina hardened when he turned to look at his fiance. He sneered. "Are you seriously using our families as blackmail material? For what? To get men’s attention? It’s pathetic.
"Anyway, we hadn’t had an engagement ceremony yet, so our relationship isn’t final."
The curvaceous woman laughed, but it was derisive—whether it was directed at the man, the other woman, or herself, only she knew.
"That is not what you told me when we were in high school," she said. "But I didn’t think your taste would devolve so much. Have you gone blind?"
"Miss Joana...I...I truly believed you were not in a relationship! At the same time, I believe Blaine is not lying—so there must be a misunderstanding—"
"Am I talking to you?"
Carina’s rounded eyes glistened with tears, and she wilted, as if in pain, breaking Blaine’s heart. Before he could tell Joana off, Carina held his arm.
Carina put on a brave face. "Miss Joana," she said. "Although my family and I are nothing but commoners now, we are also people with our own voices and opinions."
Her words made many bystanders look badly at the curvaceous woman who seemed to be looking down on commoners. Naia could smell the green tea from where she was, but she had her chip out and was already chewing.
As expected of Carina. Her own mother had nothing against her.
Blaine embraced Carina and said various comforting words before glaring at his so-called ex-fiance. "Anyway, Joana, please leave me and Carina alone and have some self-respect."
Without another word, the woman immediately stepped forward to slap him.
Slap!
Blaine’s hands were occupied at the time. One was in his pocket, and the other was holding his woman, so he was unable to react fast enough. It gave Joana time to swing her hands back, so this time, his other cheek was slapped.
SLAP!
SLAP!
Finally, another one landed, this time on Carina’s face. It happened so quickly that no one could react immediately.
Blaine immediately exploded when he realized what had happened. "JOANNA! HOW DARE YOU!?"
Blaine yelled and tried to grab her arms. However, Joana had some knowledge of self-defense and, unlike Blaine, seriously learned it. She avoided his grip and punched him on the nose instead.
"JOANNAAA!!!"
Joana’s other hand was not idle; it grabbed Carina’s hair and pulled it so passionately that Carina felt like part of her skull was pulled out!
"Let go! Let go!" She cried. Blaine was useless. Even if he managed to push Joana back, the woman just grabbed more of Carina’s hair.
At this point, Carina was unable to keep up her pitiful act and wanted to scratch Joana’s face, but Joana pulled Blaine’s collar to meet her claws instead.
"AH!"
Joana, even under the dual assault, was unstoppable, and their friends started to join in, mostly to pull them apart, but inexplicably ended up getting pulled into the fight as well.
It seemed like it was heading to an actual brawl. Naia found it so entertaining!
How often would one see a street brawl? More rarely, a brawl involving so-called ’cultured’ rich kids?!
Her eyes shifted from the ’main triangle’ to some of the people around then. She couldn’t help but notice the movements of one of the women there. She looked quite plain compared to her friends, but she was one of them.
The woman turned to the side and subtly nodded, making Naia, who was watching as a spectator, raise her eyebrows.
On cue, one of the bystanders appeared, and she saw a glint of a sharp object. He was going directly into the fight, as if to take advantage of the chaos. Naia was just at the right angle to see that the glinting object was a dagger.
Naia blinked and used her space ability to add some random rock in front of the man. This caused him to trip over it and...stab himself.
And he stabbed himself right in the heart.
"..."
When Naia sensed all life had leaked out of the man, she paled, wanting to slap herself then and there.
She really didn’t mean it!
