Chapter 1624: Sword Divine

Kent’s eyes sparkled after receiving the quest.

While there was a chance that completing it would be difficult, since the quest had no time limit, Kent knew he could leave and return later to handle it.

However, given the rewards, he knew he had to complete this quest as soon as possible.

He had already awakened an aspect of the Divine Beast Tamer called [Tamer]. This aspect allowed him to feel a connection to beasts he shared destiny with.

He saw how useful that aspect was, and so Kent knew getting a new one would work to his advantage. The only problem here was finding a way to approach the Vagabonds without provoking their malice.

Even so, aside from the aspect rewards, he now also had the chance to win another Secret Manual. The first one revealed Grand Dark Lich Barnabas’ crimes.

Now he had a chance to get the second volume. Maybe there was a chance he would discover more secrets that he could benefit from.

The first one even revealed that this wasn’t the only Banished Zone the Dark Lich had his dirty fingers in. Kent was already aware of another Banished Zone called Upside-Down Cliff. Maybe he might visit there someday.

Banished Zones were basically the most dangerous places in the universe. These were places where the worst of the worst were sent, never to return to society.

The most dangerous in the Infinity Universe were the seven Calamity Zones. Now, Kent had discovered this place, and there was a chance that there were many other places he would soon come to know about.

’I better take this quest seriously so I can get the second volume of the Secret Manual and learn more secrets.’

He sighed and retrieved four Innate Talent Awakening Pills and Bloodline Tempering Pills and handed them to his four new Forbidden Beasts.

"These two pills will help you finally become True Forbidden Beasts and fully awaken and strengthen your bloodlines."

They nodded and, after answering a few questions, which mostly involved where he really came from and what he planned on doing next, they ate the pills and started their evolution journey.

"Kharvok, let’s wait for them to finish before heading out," Kent said, and he threw a pouch full of spirit grapefruits at Kharvok, who caught it and nodded in agreement.

Kent noticed Kharvok wasn’t the talkative type, so he let him be while he turned to the system interface to finally handle the changes that had happened to him.

---

[Congratulations, you are now a Sword Divine.]

[Your Absolute Heavenly Sword Aura has transcended to Absolute Divine Sword Aura.]

[Your Absolute Heavenly Sword Intent has transcended to Absolute Divine Sword Intent.]

[Divine Sword Energy: Tier 3.]

Kent grinned, finding this development a bit more extreme than he had expected.

Back in the day, when he had finally become a Sword Divine, he became so powerful that the first thing he did was challenge 100 Sword Legends and 10 Sword Immortals to a deathmatch.

That day, he killed all of them, and he hadn’t even discovered a limit to his own sword energy. It was later that he came to understand just how monstrous his sword mastery truly was.

His sword grew sharper, and so did his intent and aura.

Basically, he became a menace in every way. From that moment, many began to pay much closer attention to him.

Now, he could feel that, compared to his past Sword Divine self, he had become at least ten times, if not a hundred times, stronger.

’If this were me before the duel with Crimson, I would have ended the battle in less than ten moves,’ Kent said inwardly, a part of him wishing he had become a Sword Divine a long time ago.

Naturally, the reason he felt this much power was thanks to his absolute sword energy.

He wasn’t all too sure just how lethal his own sword aura had become, but he knew one thing: just his sword alone could help him fight against the most powerful demigods and perhaps even a few God Ascension stage cultivators.

Kent chuckled and turned back to the messages.

[Your Genesis Sword Realm has become much stronger now that you are a Sword Divine.]

The message made it seem simple; however, the changes he had already started to feel within his sword realm made him wonder if it could still be considered a sword realm or a sword domain.

’I am not even a Sword Legend yet, and I can already command such a realm. This is just unreal.’ Kent laughed and proceeded to read the last remaining messages before checking the next requirements.

[All your sword skills and techniques have received a 10,000% buff.]

[Your sword foundations have been transformed into sword techniques.]

[Congratulations, you have learned Heaven’s Rain Descent and Earth Splitting Sword.]

[Heaven’s Rain Descent]

[Rank: God]

[Description: With lightning as a conduit and flame or ice as the material, summon as many swords as you can and rain them down on your foe with no mercy. Every last sword summoned contains your absolute divine sword energy.]

---

[Earth Splitting Sword]

[Rank: God]

[Description: One sword strike that splits the earth. Allow your brilliance to show by taking advantage of your sword intent and sword aura to unleash a strike that has no equal.]

---

Be it Heaven’s Rain Descent or the Earth Splitting Sword, both techniques were beyond what they appeared to do.

Kent could feel it; even with his lightning element not fully awakened, the power resting inside him, soon to be unleashed, was more than this world was ready to face.

These two sword techniques were created by him back when he had just become a Sword Saint. It was the Sword Dao that aided him in that endeavour.

Now, after years, he had finally transformed them into true sword techniques.

His happiness at finally having the means to use them made him pause and smile for a few minutes before he returned to the message showing the requirements to become a Sword Legend.

[Requirements to become a Sword Legend]

↠ Win the Genesis Sword Dao Competition

↠ Attain Extreme Divine Sword Energy

↠ Comprehend the first three levels of the Grand Sword Mural

↠ Kill the One-Eyed Spider Demon Queen

’The first two, I can easily handle them. However, the last two, I have no idea where to even start.’ He paused and thought for a moment, recalling a memory from his life as the Ruthless Bandit.

’I once heard of the Grand Sword Mural during the Dark Era. I learned it came to this universe from another during the Shadow Era or so. However, I had never seen it before, nor did I know where to find it.’

Kent paused and thought for a moment, then he sighed.

’Forget it. I am sure I will come across it soon enough. As for the One-Eyed Spider Demon Queen, I guess I will have to visit Spider City one of these days and see if I can find information about her there.’

The next requirements were within reason, so Kent had no reason to complain.

Winning a sword competition sounded simple enough to him. After all, all the sword competitions he had participated in the past were won by him, so he wasn’t worried.

Unbeknownst to Kent, this particular sword event would finally expose him to the world of swordsmen, one that came about due to his brilliance in the past.

He would face the best the universe had to offer, and every last one of them would come with a winning mindset.
