Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System
Chapter 1668: Reunited with Nyx
Kent walked through the gate with a smug expression.
He sensed Nyx’s gaze land on him the moment he stepped out of the portal, so he knew facing the two guards wouldn’t be a problem.
All Nyx needed to hear was who he was, and she would allow him entry.
As he walked toward the black mansion, his appearance returned to its true form, shedding the dark hair, mask, clothes, and even his eyes. His purple hair with strands of red and gold appeared, and his purple cloak covered his body.
He soon arrived at the door leading to the mansion. It opened on its own, and he walked inside, his gaze landing on Nyx, who was currently seated on her throne, gazing back at him with sparkling eyes.
Kent smiled inwardly, sensing that Nyx was deliberately suppressing her joy just to look more nonchalant. Her eyes betrayed her miserably on that front.
Even so, she remained seated.
"Long time no see, Nyx," Kent said, flashing a handsome smile.
He walked straight toward Nyx, and just when he was right in front of her, he grabbed her hand and pulled her straight into his arms.
His left hand moved with practical ease, and before Nyx could process anything, their lips met. Her eyes widened, but she closed them the next second and allowed the kiss to overwhelm her mind.
It had been a very long time since they had met.
Back then, just like some of the ladies Kent met when he traveled to the past and ventured into the Flame Sea, she wasn’t sure about her feelings for him. However, over time, she found herself missing him until she couldn’t hold herself back any longer.
Because of the time difference, it had been three million years since she last saw Kent. She slept through most of that time simply because she couldn’t handle the growing feelings she kept developing for him.
At first, she thought it was merely curiosity.
After all, Kent was unlike anyone she had ever dreamt of loving ever. He was reckless when he should have been cautious, shameless when he should have been respectful, and impossibly confident even when facing people far stronger than himself.
She witnessed his Hell Road Trial, and while he had some leeway thanks to the rules, she knew the opponents Kent fought and killed were legendary warriors.
Every one of them was comparable to demigods, gods, and even some Supremes. Even when suppressed, they were supposed to have an advantage due to their battle experience. However, Kent soloed them, and he did so with ease.
All that strength and recklessness made him a bit of a wild card. Nyx despised people of that nature. She hated her father because, just like Kent, he was also reckless.
Yet, despite all of that, he somehow managed to leave an impression on her heart.
What began as curiosity slowly became interest.
Interest became attachment.
And attachment eventually became longing.
Three million years was an insignificant amount of time for powerful beings such as herself. Many Underworld Kings and Queens would spend far longer periods in seclusion without even noticing the passage of time.
However, those three million years felt unbearably long to her.
Without even realizing it, tears rolled down her face as the kiss became more intense. She missed Kent so much that she couldn’t bring herself to stop kissing him.
Kent also had no plans to back down now.
Nyx wrapped her arms around Kent’s neck and deepened the kiss, pouring three million years of longing into that single moment.
The cold and indifferent Queen of the Ninth Underworld had completely disappeared.
At this moment, she was simply a woman embracing the person she had missed for millions of years.
Kent could feel the emotions hidden behind her actions.
’I guess I have a lot of catching up to do with her. Luckily for me, I am now a monster in bed,’ he smiled inwardly, already prepared to make sure Nyx felt every aspect of his love for her.
Five minutes later, Nyx finally pulled away, though her forehead remained pressed against his chest. Kent could feel her warm breath pouring on his chest.
He wrapped his arms around her, gently patted her back, and whispered into her ear, "I am sorry, Nyx. I should have come earlier, perhaps even right after I left Hell. However, I had things in the outside world demanding my attention.
I know no explanation would make up for the time you had to wait for me here all alone. So now that I am here, I am at your service. Whatever you need, as long as I can provide it, I wouldn’t hesitate."
Nyx said nothing and simply continued to hug Kent.
After ten minutes had passed, she slowly lifted her head and looked at him.
"I have mastered the first four forms of the Nine-Fold Calamity Whip Art."
"You did?" Kent smiled, his mind going back to his final moments in Hell when he bestowed the Nine-Fold Calamity Whip Art upon Nyx.
He had told her that when they met again, he expected her to master the first four forms. Who would have thought she would take his words to heart and actually accomplish it?
He used his hand to lift her chin, causing her to look him in the eye.
"I am proud of you, Nyx."
She blushed and buried her head against his chest.
Kent laughed. "So, what do you think about the Nine-Fold Calamity Whip Art?"
"None of the demigods in the Underworld can defeat me if I use just the first form."
"That’s strong, huh?" Kent was a bit surprised to learn that the technique he had given her was that powerful.
Nyx pulled her head back and looked at him.
"I don’t know who created that technique, but from what I have seen, just the first form is comparable to a Supreme Technique."
"Damn." Kent smiled and nodded. "I guess it is a good thing I gave it to you. Once Indie breaks the seal and your cultivation ascends to the Supreme or Celestial stage, you will be undisputed within the same rank."
Nyx smiled, then asked a very important question.
"So the Empress is one of your wives, huh?"
Kent smiled. "Yes. Her name is Indie, a Catkin and the one who united the Underworld for the first time during the Primordial Era."
"I see. She seems sweet."
"She is sweet, and she said hi."
Nyx nodded. However, before she could say anything else, Kent lifted her off the ground and asked in a teasing tone, "Where is your bedroom? We can continue catching up there."
Nyx blushed, but a few seconds later, they were inside a room with walls painted black. Curtains, chairs, tables, and even the bed are completely black.
Kent set her down on the bed and admired her beauty.
He never knew Nyx was an Abyssborn. But now that he did, he could only wonder which lineage she was from. He had crossed paths with the Abyssal Race during the Primordial Era, so he knew a thing or two about them.
He could tell Nyx wasn’t using a disguise, but as far as he could remember, he had never met a member of the Abyssal Race who looked like an elf.
This was a first for him.
Still, that was a mystery for another time.
For now, he was simply happy to be reunited with the Queen he had not seen in forever.
