The moment Leon got access back to his abilities, the first thing he did was not to attack but to activate his Cockroach DNA Racial Trait.

Afterall, with just barely 2000+ HP remaining, he was one step away from death. One well-timed attack from the assassin at full power would end his life, and the priority at this moment was not retaliating but safeguarding his life.

This is why he acted to safeguard his life first.

Activating an ability is something that’s innate to every single Ascended in the world, from F Rank to C Rank.

It’s something that’s instantaneous in response to thoughts.

And the moment that Leon activated Undying Roach, he felt the changes in his body as instantly, all the feeling of weakness and dizziness that he’d been feeling for the better part of 20 seconds disappeared instantaneously.

The feeling like he was one unfortunate step away from dying disappeared.

He no longer coughed, his muscles no longer felt weak, he no longer felt dizzy, his physical state improved instantly.

The reason for these changes wasn’t hidden from Leon though; he wasn’t kept in the dark, he knew why and it was currently floating in front of his eyes, displayed by the ChronoSystem.

The Undying Roach Racial Trait is the only ability/trait that Leon had in his repertoire that relied on an ethereal trait like LUCK.

And well, it seemed that he was lucky tonight because the moment he triggered it, he got +250% END out of a possible +300% boost and +105% HP Regeneration out of a possible +120% boost.

Since there wasn’t a fixed statistic to calculate HP Regeneration and it was different for each Ascended, the ChronoSystem didn’t focus on it.

Instead, it focused on what it had the formula to calculate.

The moment that Leon’s END increased by a whopping +250%, the ChronoSystem recalculated his attributes and his END increased from the previous base of 675 to a whopping 2403!

That was a whopping 3+ times increase, almost 4 times!

And since END is a primary attribute of Ascended, it is inevitable that it also affected the secondary attributes that are connected to it.

And the 2 secondary attributes in every Ascended that are connected to the END primary attribute is DEF and HP.

From its previous base of 2,025, Leon’s DEF increased to a whopping 7,209! 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

And from its previous base of 38,210, Leon’s HP increased to a whopping 124,610!

Again, this is more than a 3+ times increase!

To put this increase into perspective, through the ChronoSystem, Leon already knew the typical stat range for Ascended of each Rank. For the primary attributes:

At F Rank, the range is between 10 to 50.

At E Rank, it’s 100 to 200.

At D Rank, it’s 400 to 800.

And at C Rank, it’s between 1000 to 2000.

What this meant is that with Leon’s END suddenly increasing to a whopping 2,403, he now had more base END than every single C Rank Ascended in Neo Tokara!

Considering that there are only 8 C Rank Ascended in the world and the fact that they’re the strongest beings in the world, this is crazy.

It’s not just crazy, it’s beyond crazy.

As for the reason why Leon was no longer ill due to the assassin’s Radiation Bending ability that had been quietly killing him from inside out, it’s because when his HP increased by 3+ times, the excess HP from the increase stayed.

Out of a possible 38,210, the assassin depleted his HP to less than 3000 within just a minute.

But the moment his HP increased, the collective increase meant the excess HP flooded his system, making up for the deficit and increasing his current available HP to 88,000+ out of a possible 124,610 HP.

What this meant is that Leon was no longer sick or weak; with 80,000+ HP he was back in prime physical condition and health.

Heck, he had far more HP than his prime now.

Noting the unusual changes in his target, behind his ghost face mask, the assassin scowled. He didn’t know exactly what happened, but seeing the target stand upright again told him that something was not right.

Beside, as the owner of the dreamscape, he felt the subtle shift in authority which was the actual reason why he scowled.

And for the first time since the assault started, he took a few steps back and didn’t rush in to attack immediately.

He just stared at the target warily while with a grin, Leon stood up, wiping the blood from his face.

The assassin glared daggers at him.

"What did you do?"

"Oh, me?" Leon chuckled and grinned. "Well, I just decided to steal some authority from you, and who would have expected?"

"It actually worked!"

Unlike the bubbly tone of his voice, there was a dark smile on his face as he stared at the assassin.

It was the look of a prey who finally realized that he could harm the predator.

For a few seconds, both D Rank Ascended just stared at each other, then Leon moved and everything exploded into chaos.
