Reborn as an Extra
Chapter 741: Forgotten World, Cyria-229. Part-9.
"She has a rare class!?"
Link and the others were so surprised after hearing those words that their jaws almost fell on the floor!
Usually, all awakeners in the world awaken into one of the five common class systems, which are Swordsman, Martial Artist, Healer, Mage, and Archer!
The awakener status panel and the awakening process itself are mysteries that nobody has fully managed to understand as of yet.
Thus, no one knows why Swordsman and Archer are considered actual class systems, while Spearman, Gunman, and other weapon users do not have their own unique classes.
All of them end up falling into either the swordsman class or the martial artist class despite not being from either of those class systems at all and they get treated like subclasses most of the time.
As for being a summoner, it is a subclass of the Mage class that you can awaken pretty easily if you train to be a summoner before becoming an actual awakener like Liam! 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
Liam summoned his first summoned beast, Ellie, before he officially became an awakener, and thus his class was set to the sub-class of the mage class ’Summoner,’ which specializes in summoned beast control specifically.
The chances of successfully summoning a spirit beast before awakening are close to nil.
Only those who are born blessed with immense talent like Liam are capable of doing such insane feats; that’s why every summoner in the world is usually a genius.
Moreover, choosing to be a summoner is a risky choice, as you lose many of the advantages of the mage class because your class becomes highly focused on being a summoner instead.
Liam can still learn magic by using the affinities of his summoned beasts in reverse, primarily because of his exceptional talent and uniqueness; however, this is typically not the case for normal summoners.
Finally, there’s the Healer class that has a massive number of subclasses under it, with Alchemist, Therapist, etc. being just one of the many subclasses.
Usually, most of the world’s awakeners only awaken classes or sub-classes from these five common classes.
But there are always exceptions to everything in the world.
There exist some rare classes in the world that rarely ever appear in the entire world once in several centuries!
Rio’s father Kevin Flash was one such awakener, as he had a rare class, ’Assassin’!
It’s not that these rare classes are called rare because they are stronger and more powerful than other classes, but they are called rare classes because they rarely ever appear.
There is only one person mentioned in the ancient records who had a rare class during the thousand-year demon extinction war, and after that there was only Kevin Flash.
Just from this statistic, it’s easy to understand that these rare classes are so so unique that they are only ever recorded once in a thousand years!
Until today, nobody knows how many types of rare classes exist in the universe, as there have only been two recorded beings that have ever awakened them in the world.
That’s why finding out that Yasna had a rare class called ’Psychic’ was no small matter!
"Not only does she have a rare class, but she was also born an awakener right away!? That sounds a lot like someone who’s bound to reach the realm of demi-gods one day!"
Riya widened her eyes in shock as she scanned Yasna carefully with shining eyes as if she were looking at a treasure!
"We must not let such a great talent be destroyed in vain before it reaches its greatest potential!"
"Her vitality is flowing towards that altar, and as Lia said, her strings of destiny have also been altered; if we want to save her, we would need to deal with that altar first..."
While saying those words, Link and the others started communicating with each other through telepathy.
[Lia can you sense what’s sealed inside that altar? Is it an SS-ranker?]
Hearing Riya’s question, Lia replied in her usual calm voice,
[I will need to have a look at the altar from close proximity first to determine what’s actually going on with that thing...]
[By the way, my intuition is telling me that if we want to find a way back home and investigate the mysteries of this planet... We will need to investigate that altar thoroughly and confront whatever is sealed inside of it in person...]
At those words Link sighed and spoke.
[Sigh, what is that fellow Rio doing at times like these when we need him... he’s always missing from the scene when something important is going on, tch!]
[With his sneaking capabilities, he should be able to easily sneak inside the sealed space of the altar and bring back intel...]
[How long is he going to fight in the sky? Sigh... Don’t tell me he doesn’t even know that we are also on this planet and has already teleported away on his own...]
Hearing Link’s complaints, Lia retorted calmly.
[He’s in the space above, and with his powerful detection range, he must have sensed our presence long ago. If he’s still not come to us, that just means he’s still fighting...]
[What I am more surprised about though is the fact that there is actually someone here who’s been able to keep fighting with Rio for so long without a break! What kind of monster did Rio encounter this time, I wonder, to get entangled with it for so long...]
Link took a deep breath after hearing those words and spoke,
[Well, if Rio still doesn’t show up after a few more hours, I will go into outer space to see what’s going on with him...]
[For now, let’s make plans on how to deal with this strange altar and investigate its secrets...]
Although the life and death of the half-orc tribe had nothing to do with them all, they were the type of people who liked to use trouble as a fertilizer for their growth in personal strength.
Link and the others had no idea why they were teleported to this planet and who teleported them here and what their reason was.
But just like when they were randomly teleported by Alverto inside the spire of ascension, all of them took this incident as an opportunity to widen their horizons, get new experiences, and look for breakthroughs in strength!
Moreover, knowing that Rio had a long-range teleportation portal opening scroll in his possession, the group wasn’t in a hurry to go home, as they all could just leave whenever they wanted.
