Reborn for Revenge: I Married A Billionaire
Chapter 56- My Tongue
"Have you lost your fu*cking mind?" Lina slapped her forehead, widening her eyes, "You need to remember every lie, or you’re done, Sia!"
She slammed the beer can on the table and collapsed on the couch, "Hunter might be jobless, but he is not a fool. Soon he will learn what you’re up to."
Sienna picked up the can and popped it open. Instead of worrying like Lina, she was relaxed after dumping her friend with all the emotional stuff.
After all, what are friends for? She thought after bringing the can to her lips.
Hunter had been on her mind for quite a few days, and it was next to impossible to focus on revenge.
"Hey!" Lina shook her shoulder a little brutally, "Back to earth, Sienna," She waved in front of her face, "I’m asking what’s next," She brought her mouth near her ear, "What’s the plan?"
Sienna pressed her palm against her ear and closed one eye, "Hmm. Next plan? Papa will soon fake his death. We need to wait a little. He badly wants my property," She took another chug from her can and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, "Let Ruby focus on her career and ... her apartment," She finished with a smirk.
Lina made a pout and settled herself beside Sienna. Sienna rolled her eyes to watch her friend and raised her arm to keep her beer out of her reach, "I’m in no mood to share it."
"I had only one can, you dork!" But Sienna kept shaking her head.
"Nope."
"Give it to me!"
"Earn it!"
Suddenly, Lina lunged. Sienna quickly jerked her arm higher, twisting her body away, nearly spilling the drink as she laughed under her breath.
"Move away!" Sienna retorted, but Lina wasn’t in the mood to give up.
"Stop acting rich and hand it over! Urgh!" Lina grabbed her wrist.
"I am rich, bitch. Don’t forget I just got a business contract— also, I’m the daughter-in-law of the Levisay family," She reminded her with a wink.
For a moment, it turned into a tug of war on the couch, half laughing and half fighting.
Lina didn’t seem impressed by the story, "I just want one sip," She raised her index finger, pouting her lips.
"Absolutely not."
"Let go, Sia!"
"You let go!"
Lina suddenly shifted, sliding closer and reaching with her other hand. Sienna didn’t see that coming.
"Hey!"
It was too late.
Lina snatched the can, "Hah!" She immediately brought it to her lips before Sienna could snatch it back.
Sienna tried to reach for it, but Lina turned away, shielding the can.
"Lina! Are you giving me, or should I call Hunter?"
Lina froze, then glanced at her friend, who was just as taken aback. Forgetting the can, Lina looked into her friend’s big green eyes, "O.M.G!" She whispered.
"What?" Sienna thought there was something on her face.
"You. Like. Him!"
"Me like who? Hunter?"
"Yeah!"
"No. I’m not interested in a jobless man. Now move a little and let me breathe."
"You don’t need space to breathe, sweetheart," Lina landed her ass back on the couch, "You need him."
"Shut up," Sienna rolled her eyes, trying to busy herself with her phone, "Urgh, look at me. I’m here for a sleepover and forgot my phone’s charger at home."
Lina watched her frustration and hid her amusement, "Call him. Ask him to bring your charger."
Sienna bit her inner cheek and then opened her contact list, "I can ask Brian to do it," She sent a voice message to her butler.
"Hey. I’m sorry I forgot my charger. Can you bring my charger to my friend’s place? Please?"
Lina giggled and leaned back against the back of the couch, "You’re avoiding him now. Great!"
"Don’t be stupid, Li. He’s a good man," She swallowed hard and got up from the couch, "I need to throw this beer can," She went to the kitchen and stayed there for a few minutes.
What was Lina saying?
Why would I like him?
He is a great guy, and maybe this is nothing but my sexual frustration. Yeah. This is the answer. I’m sexually frustrated. That’s it.
I need to hook up with someone— with Hunter.
When she went to the living room, Lina was spraying liquid cleaner on the glass top of her dining table, "Hey, Sia."
Sienna was heading to the backyard door, she stopped and gave her friend a questioning look, "Do you think Hunter is..."
"Oh, not again, Li," Sienna raised her hands, "You’re mistaken if you think..."
"No, no," Lina shook her head, "I’m serious. Like...I don’t know how to say this, but I think he’s not what he pretends to be."
Lina didn’t seem to be joking this time; her face was serious.
"What do you mean?"
"Hunter—" Lina shrugged and placed the cloth on the table, "— I think he is hiding something."
Sienna frowned and wanted to say something when the doorbell rang, "I’ll get that," She mumbled, thinking over what Lina had told her.
However, when she opened the door, she didn’t expect to see the very man they had been discussing standing there.
Hunter raised his hand, holding up her charger, "Brian asked me," he said with a shrug.
"There was... no need..." Sienna trailed off, realizing she was happy to see him there.
His gaze shifted past her shoulder, then without warning, he moved closer. Sienna barely had time to react before his hands found her waist and he pulled her into him.
"Hunter—" The words died as his lips claimed hers. Gently at first, and then the kiss turned a little aggressive.
All the reasons and logics went out of the window as Sienna’s arms went around his neck, tasting his lips. His one hand was at the nape of her neck, pulling her more into his mouth.
She tried to moan, but his mouth muffled the sound.
His lips were moving over her mouth as if he wanted to taste her thoroughly. Sienna could feel her breasts pressing hard against his chest. Heat rushed through her as she touched her tongue to his lips.
He might not be expecting this kind of boldness from her because a low, guttural moan escaped him.
He likes my tongue. Sienna made a mental note. She wanted to discover his mouth a little more when she heard Lina clearing her throat behind her.
Hunter stopped the kiss but didn’t pull away. He leaned his forehead against hers as he tried to control his erratic breathing.
Good God. The kiss affected him as much as it did her.
"I’m... I’m sorry," He sounded breathless, "Lina... was behind you so ..."
Sienna didn’t mind that he did it for the show. After all, this was already decided.
She didn’t bother to tell him that Lina knew about their contract. Her fingers only tightened over his sleeve.
