"Who orders extra cheese?" Lina made a face, looking at Sienna, whose lips were covered in cheese, "This is not cheese, it’s cholesterol!" 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

Sienna rolled her eyes, passing fries to Hunter, "Stop whining. Cheese has calcium, and don’t forget you were hungry a few minutes ago."

Lina had asked Hunter to stay back and join them for cheesy burgers and fries, which he accepted.

Now here he was, seated at the dining table, right next to Sienna.

"I was starving for food, this is a heart attack!" Lina retorted before taking a bite of her burger.

Hunter leaned back in his chair, watching them fight like two kids.

"You two argue like you’ve been married for ten years," He offered a fry to Sienna and then placed it in her mouth.

Sienna had already dragged her chair closer to him.

"Why? Are you jealous?" She asked him with a full mouth.

He raised a brow, as if asking why would he?

"What’s the issue with you, Hunter?" Lina narrowed her eyes, "I’m the best thing that’s ever happened to her."

Hunter stayed silent, but his lips curved slightly. Lina saw his face and started shaking her head, "I don’t like him anymore, Sia."

"Too late!" Sienna muttered, reaching for her drink.

When the doorbell rang, Lina groaned, "Don’t you dare touch my fries."

Sienna waved her hand, too lazy to steal a fry at the moment.

As Lina walked off towards the door, Hunter turned to her, "Shouldn’t we show her that we can’t keep our hands off whenever we’re alone?"

Sienna wanted to laugh at that. Hunter was taking his role too seriously. Maybe more serious than Ruby. Ha-ha.

His hand came up to brush off the red hair strand off her face, "Your cheeks are already turning crimson, firecracker."

"Maybe because I am a firecracker," She wanted to giggle, but he had already leaned ahead to kiss her, "Your lips taste like sugar. Do you know that?" He murmured against her lips.

"That’s why you call me...." Her voice trailed off when his mouth crashed over her lips.

Sienna gripped his t-shirt with the hand that was smeared in cheese, but he didn’t seem to mind.

His minty breath was making her head reel in ecstasy. She wanted to ask him to put his arms around her and hold her for a while.

He seemed to hear her silent plea because he instantly wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into his hard body.

"Goodness! Look at you two!" Ruby’s sharp voice made Sienna jerk up in panic, while Hunter remained completely unfazed.

His arms tightened around her, not letting her go. Sienna swallowed hard, trying to speak, but her voice caught in her throat.

"You have gotten cheese all over his t-shirt, Sia," Lina joked, dropping back into her seat. Sienna’s eyes dipped down, and was horrified to see the mess she had made.

"I’m sorry... I ..."

"Shh," Hunter shook his head, "Don’t!" He snapped.

Sienna didn’t know what he was mad about— for ruining his t-shirt or because she apologized.

It couldn’t be the latter because he gently kissed her head and got to his feet, "I need to go now," He held her chin and gave a quick peck on her nose.

He was making her feel like— he could barely keep his hands off her.

When the doorbell rang again, Lina groaned in frustration, "Why can’t they let me breathe on Sunday?"

Sienna found Hunter looking at her. She shrugged, pointing to the melted cheese on his t-shirt, "I can wash that..."

She stopped when his index finger touched her lips, "I don’t want a washed t-shirt, Firecracker," He mumbled, touching her lashes, "I just want..." He moved his fingertip inside her mouth a bit. Sienna thought she would die and go to heaven.

She chuckled, thinking he was playing with her, but the look in his eyes told her he was not.

"Sia!" Lina’s loud voice rang in the room, "Ruby is here to see you."

What? Who?

Sienna had to look away from Hunter’s face to understand what Lina was saying. Ruby was standing in the doorway, her eyes darting between the two.

"Sorry for disturbing you two!" There was a fake smile on her face, and Sienna caught the jealousy brewing in her eyes, "I need to talk to you, Sia."

Hunter exhaled a sigh before getting to his feet, "I’ll miss you," He pulled up Sia and kissed her lips again.

"I’ll miss you too," Sia said, looking up at him, offering him her lips.

After all, they needed to show Ruby how perfect they were.

Her contract husband understood the invitation and didn’t hesitate to kiss those pouty lips.

Ruby looked away in irritation, her eyes wandered around the room, trying to observe all the details of the showcase placed there.

Hunter rolled his lips between his teeth. Sienna felt as if he didn’t want to leave her.

"Let me know if you need anything else," He placed his hands in his pockets, like he was scared that he might touch her again.

"Will you come back to deliver it?" She started walking beside her as he threw his arm over her shoulders.

"I can come back a thousand times if you want..." A lazy smirk touched his lips, making her heart flutter.

"You’re very handsome!" The moment the words were out, her eyes went wide in shock.

Shit!

"Really?" His grin widened, "You find me handsome? It’s an honor because someone told me she never liked men," she didn’t miss the teasing in his tone.

Sienna opened her mouth and then closed it, not knowing what to say anymore.

"Enjoy your sleepover," He whispered and then went out of the house. Sienna stood there and waited for him to get in the car.

I think he’s not what he pretends to be.

That was what Ruby had said that morning. And now Sienna was also doubtful. What if Lina was right?

What if her contract husband was hiding something?
