Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 866: True God
"... or do you seek death on your own?" Asked the mysterious voice from the sky.
Jordan did not look disturbed, scared, puzzled, or frightened. Actually, he looked disappointed.
’So much for a scare factor,’’ Jordan said to himself then turned around to look at the ground angelic beings that had descended from the bright blue sky.
There, he saw a bird with a box-shaped head and eyes that were frighteningly large.
Actually, he saw more than one. There were at least a hundred of them and every single one of them had at least the power level of a High Level Immortal.
Jordan smiled, baring his long fangs and flashing his devilishly red eyes, "Oh, I wish that were so, but the All-King was the one who asked me to come here.
Quick, take me to your leader," A demonic red energy sprouted from Jordan’s body and formed a thick platform beneath him.
Jordan sat down comfortably and just waited.
In response, the birds above descended, dropping one by one to the red platform.
*BAM BAM BAM!*
They slammed heavily into the red platform, as though testing the integrity and strength of the construct. Unfortunately for them, Jordan’s powers could not be so easily broken.
However, their actions did cause a very nasty frown to appear on Jordan’s face. He looked at them with a shockingly cold expression, wiping away the smugness and replacing it with a predatory desire...
Perhaps, Jordan would have made a move to correct these lowly creatures of their transgressions if not for the last bird dropping.
The red platform shook and for the first time, cracks appeared.
King Jordan looked at all these birds.
Owls.
All of them.
Each was around three meters tall, the same height as a fully grown lion, and some of them were even taller. The owls didn’t all look the same and it appeared as if they all came from different subspecies.
But in general, all of them were Owls.
"King Jordan... Do you know where you stand?" Asked the male owl as he took several steps and instantly closed the distance between him and Jordan.
Like the ghostly wind, the large owl was suddenly in front of Jordan who didn’t flinch. Jordan still had his gaze on some owls that had slammed themselves into his platform. He was not a forgiving person at all.
It was only later that Jordan shifted his gaze to look at the large owl in front of him.
Shiny and metallic brown feathers, a white mask, a feathered face, and intense yellow eyes that stared at Jordan provocatively.
Most importantly, his aura was of a Supreme Level Immortal.
Alas, even the other owls behind could tell that King Jordan’s presence was heavier and his aura contained more destructive tendencies.
Unlike this bougie Supreme Level Immortal, Jordan was older and far more willing to bite someone than any of them.
The way Jordan even leaned his head forward creepily made it clear that he might actually bite someone if he followed his intrusive thoughts.
Crazy and dangerous, the metallic brown owl realised that he may be talking to a difficult person.
But he did not relent. He stared into Jordan’s eyes, daring the demonic king to do his absolute worst.
This was Samsara Heaven, home of a divine being the source of Reincarnation Activities in the entire universe.
What could he possibly have to fear...
*CRACK!*
Jordan’s fangs sank into the Owl’s head and his mouth clamped shut.
It happened too fast.
One minute, the owl was looking into Jordan’s eyes, feeling like he could challenge the unchallengeable.
The next thing he knew, he was staring down Jordan’s horrendous throat and feeling as those fangs pierced his metallic feathers and dug into his skin.
"AAAARGH!"
"What the fuck!"
"Quickly! Stop this at once!"
"Call someone, quickly!"
All the Owls far back shouted and screamed in horror or anger from a safe distance.
They watched in horror as their leader was being bitten brutally by this monster but they only shouted. None of them dared to actually go forward and help.
Was that a joke? Jordan was at the peak of the Supreme Level Immortal stage, they were just High Level Immortals.
There may be a hundred of them but they knew not to go up against Jordan. Their leader might be stupid, but that didn’t mean they had to follow him.
"Would you fucking..." Said the brown-feathered owl as he slapped down with his large metallic wings.
Luckily for him, Jordan relaxed his jaw muscles and he was able to pull his damaged head out of the lion’s mouth.
Alas, a lot of damage had already been done. One of his eyes was punctured and his upper beak was crushed, having been chewed on for a while.
Blood leaked tirelessly from the new holes in his neck and head and the injuries looked very serious.
Fortunately, the brown-feathered metallic owl was a Supreme Level Immortal. Although these injuries looked bad, he would definitely survive them.
But, the pain was real and it was disorienting. No one would be able to endure their head being chewed on.
"Aaaaaaaaah..." The leader owl flapped his wings and created distance between him and Jordan, leaving a stream of blood behind.
Jordan closed his mouth and sat back down. Everyone always wanted to know what happened when they looked into the eyes of a lion for too long.
They knew that doing such a thing was going to agitate them and make them feel as though their ego was challenged, yet they still wanted to know.
What many didn’t know or failed to learn about was that most who actually succeeded in looking into the eyes of a lion for too long didn’t survive to tell a lot of people about it.
This owl was extremely lucky. His luck was so incredible that it had to be checked.
Suddenly, while Jordan was standing there with his eyes locked on the owls, a presence descended.
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"Oh..." Jordan said softly. Ever so quietly, his paws pressed on the red ground and his muscles tensed.
His eyes shifted very slightly to the right where he saw the silhouette of a figure next to him.
Jordan’s expression was frozen. He couldn’t move.
Everything was frozen, except his eyes. The owls, the sky, the air, the energy. Every single thing that existed on its own within Samara Heaven was frozen stiff and prevented from moving any further.
Not even time could continue moving, it was all staying still as though someone had pushed the pause button.
The only thing that Jordan could move was his eyeballs which he used to look at the figure who was standing beside him.
Did he feel fear? Not really. But he was profoundly shocked. He couldn’t even circulate his energy within his body and he was a Supreme Level Immortal.
There was no warning or arrival alert. It just happened as if the world existed within the thought process of a single individual.
"Hmmm..." The person beside Jordan hummed and Jordan could tell that it was the voice of a woman. She sounded elderly and ancient, like someone who had experienced countless lives with one soul.
Jordan tried to continue looking but he could not move his head. All he knew was that this person was standing next to him and it was somewhat alarming.
"All-King, haven’t you observed enough?" The mysterious woman asked.
Jordan was a little confused when he suddenly felt his mind being invaded by a foreign will. He didn’t fight back, he didn’t try to.
Instantly, his red eyes turned into a golden shade and the red demonic energy that had been frozen stiff began to flow again, augmented by a power that was beyond compression.
Jordan’s head snapped to the right, a viciously cold expression masking his face as those pair of dominating, cold, and golden eyes stared at the figure next to him.
"Primordial Owl..." Jordan said, his voice came out as a layered mess. It sounded like two people talking at the same time.
His muscles vibrated and he moved slowly, standing up and assuming his full stance on all fours. His tail curved behind him and his head lowered.
Jordan’s aura poured out, resisting whatever it was that had caused the world to freeze over.
Standing next to him was an old woman with big eyes and hair tied into buns. The wrinkles that ran over her face arranged themselves in a strange ancient pattern and her big eyes observed Jordan without fear.
"I have long transcended the so-called label of Primordial..." The woman said with her mouth, casually speaking the lion language.
Then she took a step and appeared beside Jordan from the left.
"You know, when I permitted your Reincarnation those years ago, I never expected that you would come this far..." She said, leaning forward, with a completely nonchalant expression.
Jordan and Kael who saw this woman through the same pair of eyes recognised that gaze. It was a gaze far deeper than what Alexander wore.
The gaze of someone who was just...too powerful, too old, and without a challenger.
Jordan and Kael’s horizons were expanded today for this was the first time they stood before a True God.
