Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 869: The Three Generations of Races.
"Your reincarnation wasn’t planned, but it wasn’t an accident either..." Reincarnation said, sighing and releasing a vast amount of air from her mouth.
The whole meadow was disturbed. The purple flowers swayed under the influence of the sudden wind, and they moved in a peculiar pattern that could be noticed if one observed for a while.
"Can you tell me about these things," The Illusory form of Kael asked.
"That depends. Why did you actually come here, All-King? What gave you the confidence to send Jordan to walk into Samsara Heaven?" Reincarnation asked.
"If you’re asking if I am afraid, then the answer is no. I’m not.
Originally, I was simply curious and wanted to learn more about you.
But then, you sent more than a hundred Primordials my way, how could I not come to confirm if you were some kind of hidden friend?" Kael asked, smiling.
"Oh," Reincarnation smiled now, "You stormed my court and tried to protect Ruda’s soul. That was bold.
But I’m glad you did, I was thinking of how I could make you track down her soul once she was reborn where she was.
If not that, I would have had to rely on luck to make you find her."
"So, you orchestrated it all on purpose!" Kael said, his eyes lighting up with wonder.
"Ruda’s Reincarnation, me finding all those Primordials on Planet Gadi, you did it all with intention.
But why?
Seeing how powerful you are, you can easily track me down if I were anywhere in the universe in an instant.
You could just give them to me instead of guiding me to find it all."
Reincarnation shook her head, "Others, yeah, I can do something like that, but you see there are rules that have to be followed.
If we, the Divine, can just directly interfere in everything, the universe would be torn apart.
Even now, in my own heaven, I still hide my true form because my true presence can shatter the base of reality and cause a whole lot of problems without me having to do anything.
Imagine that on a grander scale where many gods are fighting and scheming directly. Forget about you, Jin, or Silax would have never made it so far.
It’s not like we’re trapped either, don’t mistake our occasional lack of action as weakness.
We just don’t want to destroy the chairs that keep us up.
The Highest Will even has an explicit rule to not directly manipulate the fates of potential divine entities unless approved.
’Potential divine entities’ is very vague but it generally involves Primordials, Singularities, outside entities, Avatars, and so on.
The Highest Will knows how to create the vaguest rules to keep everyone in check.
You can’t blame him though, without him everything would have gone up in smoke a long time ago..."
’Is she stalling?’ Kael wondered. She seemed to deviate from the question way too much.
"Sorry, the others are trying to get in because they know your consciousness is here, I was talking with them," Reincarnation suddenly said as her eyes regained their focus and looked at Kael directly.
Kael was stunned, he wanted to ask what she meant by that but Reincarnation continued talking.
"There are some things that even if I explained for you, you wouldn’t understand unless you elevate your perspective.
The U’tan Experiment, me guiding souls of the Primordials to reincarnate on Planet Gadi...
To understand why I am even telling you all this, why I am accommodating you in my heavenly realm, and why everything is the way it is...
All this started during the time of Alan, right before the lions were considered a true race of the universe.
I asked about the memories that the Highest Will gave him because I wanted to be sure that some historical facts were not twisted..."
Reincarnation paused. Kael held his non-existent breath. It felt like he was about to hear one of the biggest secrets ever and Reincarnation was intentionally taking her time for dramatic effect.
"It appeared he did," Reincarnation looked at Kael and sighed, "Do you have time?"
"I have more than enough time, I want to learn everything...
Please..."
Kael pleaded, instantly throwing away and twisting his mind to extract as much value from Reincarnation as much as he could.
If saying please would make her more willing to talk, then he would say it. He wanted to know everything, he didn’t want to be kept in the dark anymore.
"In the history of the universe..." Reincarnation started, "...There have been three stages that are categorised by the races that were broken during that time.
The universe has consistently produced three generations of races that have dominated every nook and cranny.
The first generation was the most dominant but also the most powerful. Most of the Divine Tier that exist right now were born then, and none of them have died ever since.
In the beginning, there was no real first race, despite what that Origin guy might want you to think.
All of them were born pretty much around the same instant of a second.
Races like the Slimes of Change, the Tree of Origin, the Bacteria of Biology, the Storks of Mortality, and the Leviathans of The Abyss. Five gods in total came out from that era, each more mysterious than the other.
There were millions of Primordials born during that time, millions. But only five made it to the top and the massacre that occurred after that was to this day incomprehensible.
Waves of decaying biomass and black blood washed over galaxies...literally. And yet, that battle...or massacre, only lasted for one day.
From the rise of the firstborns to the ascension of the first gods, hundreds of millions of years had passed by.
After the cosmic massacre that led to the extinction of so many races, almost a billion years passed and the universe spontaneously created the next batch to fill it up.
It needs to be said time and time again that the universe itself is not conscious of what it does. It simply wants to exist and will automatically do the right thing to continue its existence.
During the second generation of races to be born, we had the Elephants, the Dragons, the ants, the bees, and thousands more.
Most especially, the Monkeys were a product of the second generation of races.
This generation saw the rise of the Ant God of Order, and the Elephant God of Rules.
The Ant God is not worth mentioning for now but the Elephant God became the most powerful entity ever in the universe. How he did it is not clear but he ascended and became the Universal Steward soon after.
The Elephant God is the one you know as the Highest Will, the strongest being, and the first one to realise what it meant to be a slave to one’s own law.
Now you know where the Highest Will comes from. That is information I am permitted to talk about as long as certain conditions have been met.
How does this relate to the grand scheme?
Well, you need to understand what the grand scheme is about first of all. It’s about relevance.
And unfortunately, in order to be relevant, you must survive no matter what it takes.
The search and desire for your life to be meaningful.
You should understand because power is how you give yourself meaning.
Very long story short. The Highest Will helped turn the lawless universe into a standard operating machine with his rules.
The monkeys were the first to break those rules. At first, the punishments were light. Minor deaths, shaving off their population, or setting them back.
In fact, when they started Project Ape and created humans, there was no punishment whatsoever.
And then, the Monkeys did the unthinkable, they tried to leave the universe.
This had never been done before. Contrary to what you will think, the Highest Will had not even made any rules concerning leaving the universe at that time.
No one will talk about the first few monkeys that managed to take a fleet of Beyonder Ships to leave the universe, no one tells you about the surge of foreign power that came through after those Beyondees pierced the veil of the Outerverse.
The Highest Will gave them a warning and created a rule to stop them from doing it again. But they didn’t stop.
The monkeys that left first never came back so no one knew what was outside. Their curiosity was not yet satisfied.
They continued, and the Highest Will ordered the Slime God of Change and the Leviathan God of the Abyss. Otherwise known as Change and Abyss, they wiped out the monkeys with the same experience they had from the First Massacre.
The monkeys never knew what happened as the Clean Up was the most unnatural thing to happen.
It came without warning.
Kael, how can you fight Change? Even as concepts, they are vague and imperceptible.
The Monkeys, with all their technological advancements, could not defend themselves and were nearly wiped out.
Alas, this was the beginning of the biggest trouble ever because the Monkeys, despite having already been put down, had still let something into the universe.
Something that threatened the stability and existence of everything if left unchecked.
This is where we come to you lions who only appeared during the third generation.
Alan...never wanted to create the lion race."
