Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 870: Alan And The Other Law
"Alan...never wanted to create the lion race."
Reincarnation said.
Now, the golden illusory figure of Kael had a focused expression on his face. This was information that did not hurt but it did not really sound good to the ear.
Kael was undisturbed, yet disturbed at the same time. He didn’t know how to describe what he was feeling actually.
How did it feel when a child found out that his father never wanted him?
"What?" Kael finally managed to ask after some time of silence.
How did this information even relate to why Reincarnation was helping him?
Reincarnation shook her head, "Alan never wanted to create the lions. It wasn’t even something that was on his mind.
I wasn’t born at that time but I have seen the visual records and looked back in time to see for myself.
I have scoured the backed-up memories of souls that were reincarnated from that time and I confirmed all my current knowledge.
Alan...was...troubled.
Kael, take a look at you, look at the past Primordials of your race. Lion Primordials are not wired to be that benevolent that they would be willing to sacrifice themselves to create a race.
Do not judge Alan for not wanting to do it when it was his time.
And you couldn’t blame him. Origin was the first Primordial to actually achieve Divinity without sacrificing himself to create a race.
The evidence was clear.
At the peak of the Supreme Level Immortal tier, Alan was far from normal. He dominated almost everything.
There were a lot of rules that the Highest Will created simply because Alan was ready to crash everything around him and dominate the whole universe on his own.
I have to say, for someone who never became a god, he really gave them trouble. Even without his kin, he was still able to oppress all immortals and mortals.
Unfortunately, the Divine sensed that Alan might cause some issues if he were actually allowed to ascend to Divinity.
They didn’t let him. Every time he attempted to do it, they would interfere and throw all his progress away.
How did they do it so well, you may ask.
Remember the U’tan Experiment. It was an experiment that involved the use of a foreign Law called the Other Law.
The Law of Other, or the Other Law is something that never existed in the universe, it came from beyond when the Monkeys pierced the veil. The universe already had three thousand laws so this addition of a new Law was weird and caused some instability.
Before then, this Other Law had been experimented on as the Highest Will wanted to find out the exact purpose of the Law. Alas, the law was too mysterious. It seemed to be able to do everything and nothing at the same time.
At the same time, the Slimes of Change who had been heavily involved with the experiment had to be locked up. They had changed, which is ironic.
The Other Law just made the Law of Change act...differently.
The Slimes became dangerous not just to the world, but to themselves.
Now, they are locked by chains of Laws and Rules within their Myriad Heavenly Realm.
That Other Law was still being experimented with by the Highest Will and he used it on Alan under the pleas of the other gods.
Alan...suffered.
The things the Other Law did to him. It became very clear that the gods were also hell-bent on stopping him from ascending.
So, he didn’t relent. Rather he fell back to the one option he had not considered before.
Alan transferred all his grief, all his indignant feelings, all his defiance. He took it all and transferred it into the lion race that he created by sacrificing himself.
It was a pity, he would have been able to still create the lion race without dying if he had just achieved Divinity, but the gods were not going to let him do so.
And so, the lion race was born out of grief and unwilling stagnation.
I told you that because of Alan, the Highest Will created a lot of rules.
One of those rules was that the condition of reaching Divinity Tier would bring a certainty of universal stability.
But that’s as effective as saying that no one can become a god if you check it well.
To become a standard god, you either have to be an Avatar or a Singularity. For mortals, they have to make themselves an Avatar of a particular law before they even have the chance of becoming a god.
Even then, a former Singularity turned god is very different from an Avatar that turned into a god.
One is superior to the other.
Without those things, the most they can get will be a Semi-Divine status, and that
The problem with that Rule of the Highest Will is that most laws that have talented creatures are not designed to be stable.
The Law of Freedom, the Law of Death, the Law of Hunting, the Law of War, the Law of Combat, the Law of Slaughter, the Law of Illusions, and many more.
The Law of Conquering is one of them.
Out of the original three thousand laws, at least two thousand eight hundred of them will actively go out of their way to destabilise the universe.
Look at you, you aren’t even a god yet but you are causing the Highest Will to rethink his decisions.
Anyways, that’s that.
The Other Law was used on Alan and it prevented him from evolving to godhood, leading to the eventual rise of the lion race as well as the other races.
Alas, just because those rules were there doesn’t mean that they cannot be broken.
Down the line, Jin the Purger violently eliminated the weak from the lion society, solidifying their strengths. At that same time, the lions in Original Heaven were at their strongest and there were around seven Supreme Level Immortal Lion Kings at that time.
The Highest Will probably felt that the lions were rising again, so he used the Other Law on Jin, preventing him from even reaching the immortal tier.
It was a very sad thing.
This time, the Highest Will wanted to clip the budding flower and keep it stunted permanently.
So he allowed the Other Law to infiltrate the genetic lineage of the Laws. He asked me, Reincarnation, to track the soul of the next Primordial.
I cannot know who the next Primordial is going to be until the final moments as even I do not control it. I only control where they could be reincarnated to.
I was naturally able to find the soul of Derylia at that time, and I guided her soul to the desired body that had been corrupted by the Other Law..."
Kael’s eyes widened.
It all made sense now.
He understood it now.
Why Derylia was such a disgrace, why she was such a misser, why she was so annoying, why she had been the most stupid Primordial in the history of the lions.
Kael thought as much, no lion should be that stupid. Even Ozia who had been blinded by Isabella at first later recovered his true nature as he matured.
Love? What nonsense was that?
"Oh my..." Kael muttered. This did not carry the blame from Derylia though.
"As you know, that does not rid Derylia of her folly," Reincarnation said at this time, guessing what Kael was thinking.
Kael nodded, "You said Alan had been able to resist the Other Law to an extent. It did not stop him from dominating his era, it only capped his strength.
Derylia and Alan had both been Primordials. Her weakness can not be blamed on the mysterious Other Law.
She allowed herself to be consumed by it and she embraced it.
Oh well..."
Kael did not say anything more than that. No matter how he talked, it had already happened.
It was better to focus on the future and what could be changed.
"You must be different then," Kael said, "You are the only one to achieve Divinity in this era of the Third Race Generation."
Reincarnation, the old lady, suddenly stood up from her seat. The wooden chair dissolved into the ground behind her and she stood to her full height.
She took a step forward and appeared in front of Kael and the unconscious Jordan.
"That’s the thing, I managed to become a god because I am not considered a threat. I won’t actively threaten the universe because a stable universe is indirectly useful to me.
Kael..." Reincarnation crouched and Kael was able to look directly into her eyes.
Those eyes, as simple as they were, were extremely terrifying.
"The Highest Will has the Other Law, I don’t know what he is thinking, no one does.
But there is a policy down right now that will soon prompt the Highest Will to cleanse everything.
And I mean everything.
The Highest Will wants to start all over again. He wants to cleanse the universe of all destabilising elements. And when he sets out to do this, even you will not be able to stop him.
If he cannot protect the universe, he will simply wipe it clean and start from scratch.
All that remains is for the universe to be so destabilised that he has no other choice but to do it.
And with everything that is happening around your little baby universe and the other factions, and someone piercing the Outerverse some time ago, we are quickly moving to that point."
Kael frowned, this was worrying news.
"Seriously?" Kael asked. He didn’t know things were that bad.
Reincarnation nodded and snapped her fingers, "That is why I guided you to those Primordials on Planet Gadi.
I want you to give me something too costly for you to consider. As you can see, I am willing and capable of paying you by giving you accurate locations of all the Primordials of the universe."
What a fantastic deal that was. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
But
"What do you want from me?" Kael said as he calmly infused his will into Jordan.
