Point-of-View: Jagger

"Just surrender, this is pointless, human. You cannot defeat me, continuing to fight me will only result in your death, all you are doing is wasting time and effort," I sighed, as I evaded an incoming bolt of lightning. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

"Don’t be absurd...you may be powerful, Elder Vampire, far more so than I am, but that’s no reason to surrender! And even if I did surrender, you’d either kill me, or worse, turn me into a Vampire...if I’m going to die, then I’ll die fighting! I am the Commander of the Knight Order of Agate, and I refuse to yield to the likes of you!" He exclaimed, before sending his Soul Weapon, a pair of chains, shooting out towards me.

"You seem to have a decent Mana capacity...if so, we won’t kill you," I informed him as I flew up and zipped across the air as his chains chased after me, before adding, "And if your Mana capacity is high, the quality of you blood will be quite high too...it would be a waste to kill you or turn you into a Vampire, especially since it probably won’t work since you seem to have a strong enough willpower to resist it. It’ll be much more prudent to keep you alive for your blood instead."

"In other words, you’d turn me into your livestock, like you’ve done with the people of the Light Continent, is that right? My, what a generous offer...however, I refuse, of course! It’s no exaggeration to say that I would much rather die!" He exclaimed, as he channeled lightning into his chains, my eyes widening slightly in surprise as one of the chains caught up and grabbed my ankle, before I sharply stiffened up as the lightning streaming through the chains shocked my body.

As his other chain grabbed my other ankle, he then formed a large shard of earth before wrapping flames around it, creating a blazing, molten spear before sending it shooting up towards me, while continuing to channel lightning into his chains.

I gritted my teeth and focused on the flow of the blood into my body, before sharply bursting out slicing disks of blood from above my ankles, severing my feet and freeing myself of the grasp of his chains.

I then shifted my focus to my regeneration as his molten lava spear closed in on me, my body swiftly recovering from the effects of the lightning before I quickly swerved across to my left, his Spell grazing the side of my right arm and searing the skin around that spot, sizzling painfully before I rapidly swooped down towards him.

His Soul Weapon is impressive...I was moving at the full speed of my current state, and it was still able to catch up to me, that’s no small feat for a human.

Indeed, that certainly caught me off-guard, but now that I’m aware of how fast it is, he won’t be able to catch me again.

He quickly began to retract his chains as I shot towards him, before I fired off pressurized jets of blood from my feet to unleash a sharp burst of speed, his eyes widening in alarm before he quickly began to form a blade of earth in his hands and raise it up defensively as I closed in on him and whipped my claws at his chest, but he was a fraction too slow to react.

His earth blade managed to only partially deflect the swing of my claws, which deeply sliced through the side of his right arm, a shudder of pain erupting across his body as the tips of my claws grazed the bone in his bicep, his arm slumping to his side as blood gushed out from the deep gash and streamed down his arm, before he gritted his teeth as the blood dripped off his fingers onto the ground and spun around as I shot past him.

I then swung my arm across to fire out a powerful, rapid slashing wave of blood, as he quickly bunched up his chains in front of himself, my blood slash slamming onto them with immense force and knocking him off balance, sending him stumbling back as I swiftly shot towards him again.

I ducked down as he sent his chains shooting out towards me, before firing out a piercing beam of blood from my fingertip, eliciting a sharp gasp from him as it hit his stomach and pierced through, shooting out of his back, the pain momentarily stunning him, his chains coming to a brief, yet fatal, halt.

I zipped forward and plunged my claws into the middle of his torso, an agonized wheeze ringing out before he seized up in pain I forced my fingers in before unleashing small but powerful slicing blasts of blood into his body from my fingertips, tearing his internal organs to shreds.

"What a waste...but there would be no point of adding you to our livestock farms if your fighting spirit and determination is this strong," I remarked as blood poured out of his mouth, before adding as I pulled my claws back out, the Knight stumbling back shakily and collapsing onto his hands and knees, "I shall commend your efforts, if nothing else...you actually managed to land a few hits on me, and you were even able to survive multiple attacks from me. If I were up against five or more humans of your level in my current state, I might have been defeated. But alas...there’s only one of you here. You aren’t going to survive, your insides are far too damaged...out of respect for the impressive showing you displayed, I shall put you out of your misery quickly."

I then fired out another piercing beam, hitting the middle of his forehead and bursting out the back of his head, finishing him off.

As he collapsed onto the ground, I walked over towards him and lifted him up, slashing his neck open before pouring his blood into my mouth, savoring it...yes, just as I thought, his blood is of quite high quality. What a waste that he left me with no choice but to kill him.

It seems there are at least a few humans in this era who are somewhat capable in battle...but unlike the era about two centuries ago, there aren’t enough of them to pose a threat to us. It seems we have little to worry about outside of Arcadia, it’s-...hm?

I then quickly dropped his body and flew up and across to my left as a blast of Negative Energy came shooting down towards me from the right, crashing onto the ground and erupting intensely, chunks of dirt flying out upon impact.

"Not bad, you managed to dodge that! So much for the element of surprise...but it’s fine, it’ll be more fun this way!"

"We’re not here to have fun, don’t mess around. Let’s just hurry up and get this over with, Vorph..."

"I recognize the two of you...you’re Pavorphobus and Aratron, aren’t you?" I frowned warily as I eyed the Demons.

"Hm? I don’t think I’ve ever met you before, so how do you know my name?" Responded Pavorphobus as she narrowed her eyes at me.

"One of the others who you have encountered in the last probably gave him your physical description. And based on his appearance and what Terrastra told us, he must be the Elder Vampire Jagger," Surmised Aratron with a sigh.

I see, then the Earth Dragon King really did survive. More importantly...I have to fight two of the Demon Generals at the same time? This is going to be a real pain to deal with...
