Reincarnation Tribulation - All I Want Is A Peaceful Isekai Life
Chapter 401 - Vampire Attack(Part 27)
Point-of-View: Argent Stryker
———————————————————————————
What the...what is this? None of our attacks are landing anymore...
"Is that the best you can do? How pitiful," Scoffed Azriel, effortlessly evading as Izzy closed on in him and unleashed a ferocious flurry of strikes, but not a single one of her attacks so much as grazed him.
This must be thanks to his Unique Ability...he isn’t any faster or stronger than he was before, but his movements are a lot more efficient and fluid now. It’s like he’s predicting our moves...his Unique Ability must have something to do with perception, maybe he’s seeing things in slow motion or something like that, if I had to guess.
I’ve even unleashed my Soul Weapon Ascension to boost myself further, but it’s no use, I still can’t hit him. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
I then shot towards him at top speed, whipping my blades across at the back of his neck as I closed in, while simultaneously driving the blade at the end of the tail of my armor towards his back, but he swiftly swooped down before my blades could reach him, evading them before spinning around firing off a blast of blood at me, which phased through me as I turned my entire body intangible.
He then fired out a slashing wave of blood at Izzy as she came charging in towards him, she quickly veered down and narrowly evaded it, before firing off pressurized bursts of flames from her feet to boost her speed, her fists swirling with blue flames as she closed in on her and swung her right arm across at his face.
He swiftly tilted his body back, her fingertips whizzing past the front of his face before he suddenly grabbed her wrist.
She winced as he sharply tightened his grip before unleashing a vicious flurry of strikes against her body, severely battering her before flinging her away powerfully as she coughed out blood, her back slamming onto the barrier, a dazed look on her face as she collapsed onto the ground.
"You BASTARD...!!!" I exclaimed as I shot towards him furiously, firing out a rapid blast of lightning at him from my mouth, which he effortlessly evaded before I closed in on him and drove my blades towards the middle of his chest.
"It’s useless, you lowly human...you can’t hit me," Scoffed the Vampire, adding as he continued to evade my attacks, "I’m well-aware of the fact that your Intangibility Skill will not last much longer...and the Skill you used to boost yourself physically, it’s only a matter of time before that wears off as well. And once that happens...you will most certainly die."
"Then I’ll just have to kill you before that happens!" I snapped, as I swiftly flew back and fired out a scorching wave of flames at him.
But he’d already begun to move even before I unleashed my attack, getting out of the way with ease...right as I reached the time limit with my Intangibility Skill.
He then shot towards me as I began to get some distance away...shit, I think he’s realized that I can’t use Intangibility anymore!
As he closed in on me, I began to veer across to my right, but he was quick to adjust and change his trajectory, driving his claws towards my face, where the armor of my Soul Weapon Ascension didn’t cover.
I quickly twisted my body across, a stifled gasp of pain escaping my lips as his claws inflicted a deep gash across my right cheek and ear, before he stopped and flew back as a large swirling blue fireball came barreling towards him, evading it before firing out a rapid blood arrow towards me.
I flew across to evade it, as Izzy shot towards him and fired out a wide blast of flames at him from her mouth, but he was quick to evade again, flying off to his right and firing off a pressurized burst of blood from his left hand to boost his speed and avoid the flames.
As Izzy continued to fire off a barrage of fireballs at him, her attacks wide in scale, I began charging up an Elemental Lightning Spell, taking aim as he continued to evade Izzy’s flames, before I unleashed several rapid, dancing streaks of lightning towards him.
He may be able to predict our moves, but if we keep attacking relentlessly with wide attacks, too much for him to predict, we might be able to land some hits.
But that isn’t going to be enough...we aren’t going to defeat him just by landing a few hits, we need to find a way to damage his core, or this’ll be pointless.
However, there’s no much else we can do...we’re both going all out, fighting with everything we’ve got, and we can’t even touch him. So we’ve got no choice but to keep attacking with everything we’ve got, and hopefully, one of us will figure out a way to turn the tables.
I can’t take a backseat just because I can’t use my Intangibility Skill anymore, I’m not going to leave Izzy to fight him by herself...I’ll have to rely on the defense that the armor of my Soul Weapon Ascension provides. But I need to be careful, my head is unprotected by the armor, if he manages to land a direct hit, I’ll be killed instantly.
As he evaded my lightning and Izzy’s flames, he extended out several bladed blood tendrils, sending them shooting out towards us and whipping them around as they closed in on us.
I managed to block a few of them with my blades before quickly flying back, my eyes widening in alarm as the tendrils chased after me immediately, shooting towards me face before I quickly fired out a blast of flames from my mouth to blow them back.
Damn it, this is bad...I’ve got less than half a minute before my Limit Breaker Skill wears off, and I won’t be able to move for a whole minute after that. At this rate...
