Point-of-View: Azriel

"Arghhh!!!" I gasped in pain as she zipped past me and ripped my right arm, blood bursting out before she slammed her foot onto the middle of my back, snapping my spine and sending me shooting through the air while spinning around rapidly, before my head collided against the barrier, my neck snapping upon impact.

I quickly scrambled to get out of the while regenerating as she came charging in towards me again, letting out a fierce roar as flames burst around her feet.

She drove her feet towards me as she closed in, as I moved away to my left as fast as I could, gritting my teeth as half her right foot struck my side and smashed the flesh around that spot into a bloody paste, her feet crashing against the barrier and breaking through, creating an opening.

I then extended out several blood tendrils and sent them zipping out towards her, but she swiftly surrounded herself in a swirling dome of Dragon Fire, vaporizing my tendrils.

She’s clearly lost control of herself, she’s a feral beast...and an insanely powerful one at that. Even Lord Dracula himself would likely struggle against her in her current state...how the hell am I supposed to defeat her!?

My Future Sight can’t keep up with her speed, her movements are so fast that, by the time I’ve processed her moves through my Future Sight, she’s already onto her next move before I can react to it!

But surely she can’t maintain this form for long...so maybe if I keep evading and stay away from her, it’ll wear off and give me an opening.

However, that’s going to be a lot easier said than done...having to regenerate such drastic injuries in such rapid succession has drained my energy immensely, not to mention my blood attacks and Future Sight.

I can’t afford to deactivate Future Sight, it’s at least helping me partially avoid her attacks, so I’ll have to stop using my blood attacks to conserve my energy.

Her strikes are so powerful, she’s busted several holes across the moonlight barrier, and I think that’s slightly weakened the effects of it...I don’t think I’m quite at my full power anymore...

Point-of-View: Frielektra

Hm? There it is, a moonlight barrier...Izzy must be inside it. I hurried here as fast as I could after Caera escaped, but how am I supposed to help?

I didn’t think this through, it’s impossible to break through the barrier, so-...huh? Wait, am I seeing things, or are there openings all over the barrier?

A feral roar then rang out from inside the barrier, followed by a yell of pain...that voice, it sounded like Izzy. But something was off about it, it seemed so...animalistic...

I then shot towards one of the openings in the barrier, squeezing in through it and entering the space. My eyes then widened as I caught sight of Izzy, fighting an Elder Vampire.

Incredible, she’s so powerful...is this her full power? I was told she can’t control it, and she does seem to be in a berserk state...and that Vampire seems completely helpless against her.

Wait, I recognize him, that’s Azriel...he’s quite strong, so for her to be overwhelming him like this while he’s at his full power is quite astounding.

Hm?

I then flew down and landed, before hurrying over as I spotted Argent Stryker sprawled on the ground, severely injured, and with Dragon Fire blazing across the dirt around him, creeping in towards him.

I swiftly opened my mouth and absorbed the flames as Izzy continued tearing Azriel apart, before kneeling down in front of Argent and shaking his shoulder as I finished absorbing the flames.

He’s in rather dire condition, I’m surprised he’s still alive at all...this wound appears to be fatal, his body will likely cease to function in a matter of minutes. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

I then smacked his face, his eyelids twitching slightly before I smacked him a bit more forcefully, a weak groan echoing out as his eyes slowly fluttered open.

"F-Frielektra? That you?"

"Yes, it’s me. It seems you’re about to die...even a Healing Magic Item wouldn’t be enough to fix this, and there isn’t enough time to get you to someone capable of healing such a severe injury before you succumb to it first," I surmised as I glanced at the scorched hole in his chest.

It looks like he burned the wound to stop the bleeding, prolonging his life a while longer.

"Y-yeah, seems this is it for me."

"How did this happen?"

"W-well, that Vampire had Izzy in his clutches and was honing in on her core, so I pushed her out of the way...looks like that triggered her full power to burst out, so at least I won’t die in vain. P-please...please tell her that this isn’t her fault, I...I don’t want her blaming herself. And...and tell her that...that I...love her," He uttered with a shaky smile.

Even in this state, he’s more worried about her than himself? I’m rather moved...

"No...you should tell her yourself," I replied, before placing my hand over the middle of his chest.

"H-huh? What is...this...feeling...? W-wait, are you...?"

"Yes, I am forming a Contract with you. This should save your life, and make you functionally immortal."

"H-hold on...while I don’t want to die, I-I can’t let you do this. Y-you said it yourself, you’d only form a Contract with me if you were about to die. So-...," He began.

"I really am impressed...I never thought humans were capable of such selfless acts. It would be a shame for a human like you to meet an untimely demise...I believe you’ve earned this. And besides, I’m sure that she would mourn losing you far more than she would losing me. You truly have my respect, Argent Stryker...take care of my daughter, I know I can entrust her in your hands," I replied, before closing my eyes as I began to merge with him...
