Chapter 176: Chapter 175: Luring the Enemy in Deep

On the deck of the pirate ship, over a hundred passengers from the plane were now all sitting in a corner, guarded by five or six pirates armed with AKs.

The burly-faced pirate leader stood before the railing, frowning as he stared at the plane’s exit.

’It’s been so long. Why hasn’t anyone come up?’

Just as he picked up his walkie-talkie to ask about the situation inside, it suddenly emitted a burst of static. Then, a faint, intermittent voice came through:

"Oh no, you can’t take this ton of gold for yourselves. It should be handed over to the leader to deal with..."

The pirate leader froze for a moment upon hearing this, then his expression changed drastically. The voice belonged to his most trusted subordinate; he was clearly reporting to him in secret!

"Those bastards! Trying to take a ton of gold for themselves? They’re really courting death!"

He slammed his hand on the railing in front of him, then snatched a brand-new AK from his back. With a wave of his hand, he roared menacingly:

"Leave five men on guard! The rest of you, come down with me!"

After speaking, he led the way toward the rope ladder leading to the plane.

Meanwhile, inside the plane’s cabin, the pirate handed the walkie-talkie to the yellow-skinned god of death before him with a fawning expression, speaking carefully and respectfully:

"I’ve done as you instructed. Can you let me go now?"

Fang Chenyi gave him a look as if he were an idiot and said, exasperated:

"You really are naive. If I let you go now, you’ll just run out and report to your boss? I said I wouldn’t kill you, and I meant it. But I’m definitely not letting you go right now."

The pirate hesitated at this. After a moment’s thought, he started to say to Fang Chenyi, "Then what do you plan to..."

Before he could finish, Fang Chenyi moved. A swift chop to the pirate’s neck, and the next moment, the pirate collapsed to the ground with a THUD.

"You sure talk a lot. We have an old saying in Huaxia: a gentleman’s word is his bond. Since I said I wouldn’t kill you, I won’t kill you."

After saying this, he didn’t dare hesitate any longer and quickly ran toward the cockpit.

However, the lure of the gold was apparently too great. He hadn’t even made it to the cockpit—hadn’t even taken more than a few steps—when the pirate leader had already menacingly jumped down into the cabin.

As he landed, his subordinates followed closely, climbing down after him.

Seeing the situation was bad, Fang Chenyi quickly ducked into the corner connecting first class to the main cabin.

"Bastards, where are you? Get the hell out here! The nerve of you! The gold is mine! Nobody touch it!"

Leading six of his men, he stormed menacingly deeper into the cabin, soon reaching the aisle.

Two more steps and they would be level with Fang Chenyi’s position.

At this moment, Fang Chenyi had already drawn his slingshot taut, ready to launch a surprise attack.

He had no other choice. Trying to knock them out one by one was clearly impossible this time.

Taking on seven men by himself was obviously wishful thinking. After all, what they were holding weren’t fire pokers!

The leader took two steps forward, and Fang Chenyi could already see the barrel of his gun. Just as the pirate was about to take one more step, which would have made Fang Chenyi release his slingshot, he suddenly stopped. This sudden change startled Fang Chenyi; Bai Menghan was in the private suite right next to them.

’No, I absolutely can’t let Menghan be in danger!’

With this thought, Fang Chenyi prepared to dash out and launch a surprise attack. But the next moment, he heard the pirate leader let out a sudden roar and then rush past him.

"BASTARDS!!!! You’d kill each other over gold!! All of you are bastards! Who made the first move?! WHO MADE THE FIRST MOVE!!!"

This turn of events stunned Fang Chenyi. It seemed the leader had seen the three pirates lying on the floor.

But apparently, he hadn’t considered that the two pirates lying in pools of blood had been killed by an outsider. He assumed they had started fighting amongst themselves over the gold.

’This is a great opportunity!’

As the pirate leader charged forward, three of his men who had been behind him also rushed out, following close behind.

The opportunity was too good to miss. Fang Chenyi quickly released his slingshot.

WHIZ—THWACK—CLANG

A sound of something tearing through the air was exceptionally shrill inside the cabin. As the sound faded, a pirate walking beside the leader stiffened. Not only that, but a small hole had appeared in the plane’s fuselage right behind him.

WHIZ—THWACK—CLANG

Another sound of something tearing through the air, and another subordinate stiffened.

WHIZ—THWACK—CLANG

Only after the third sound echoed did the first pirate’s body fall to the ground with a THUD.

The second and third followed suit.

By the time the pirate leader reacted, all three of his men beside him had collapsed to the ground.

Seeing this, the leader raised his gun, preparing to search his surroundings.

But just then, another sound of something tearing through the air rang out.

WHIZ—CRACK!

Along with this sound, a large hole was violently punched through the receiver of the brand-new AK in the pirate leader’s hands.

"Freeze! Get on the ground! Or you’re the next one to die!"

Even after Fang Chenyi’s voice rang out, the pirate leader was still in a daze. In his mind, the ones who had attacked them had to be the subordinates who came down first. Although Fang Chenyi’s voice was unfamiliar, he didn’t think anything of it. After all, not just anyone could speak the language his group used.

It was at this moment that the other three subordinates rushed out.

But seeing that something was wrong with the situation in front of them, they all instinctively dropped to the ground, clutching their guns.

WHIZ—THWACK—CLANG

WHIZ—THWACK—CLANG

Two sounds of tearing air rang out, and small holes appeared on the foreheads of the last two men. Their heads lolled to the side, and they were completely finished.

However, the last of the three pirates, seeing things were going south, did a clumsy roll back into the first-class aisle. Just like that, Fang Chenyi’s slingshot could no longer pose an immediate threat to him.

Moreover, the man had realized that the person opposite him was definitely not one of his comrades. After all, none of his companions were capable of such god-like ’marksmanship.’

Because of this, the guy just held his gun, aimed into the cabin, and pulled the trigger, letting loose a wild spray of bullets.

BANG-BANG-BANG-BANG...

The immense penetrating power of the AK punched a long row of holes through the cabin’s inner wall.

Unlike Fang Chenyi, this guy wasn’t deliberately controlling his angles. As a result, a few of the shots in this barrage pierced straight through the part of the fuselage in contact with the seawater. Immediately, seawater began to gush in madly through the bullet holes.
