Rifts: Why Choosen Ones are my enemy?
Chapter 24: Rifts
Liza looked at her sister. She had noticed a coldness in her eyes a while ago. Though she hid it well.
Her sister’s question echoed in her mind, would they kill him. Liza thought about pros and cons, killing unknown boys price them nothing other than their morals.
But, she knows that’s the last thing this family cared about. She signed internally and said. "No..., Let’s don’t do anything stupid. About that heaven thing we don’t know what’s that, yet."
Elizabeth frowned, not convinced at all. "At least we should try to kill him."
"No, Let’s first get more information about the target, his powers are still unknown...,"Liza added as she sat back on the couch. "Instead you should try to become strong, your ability is literally overpowered, If used properly."
"Finee, I will just hire some to kill him." Elizabeth said in a defeated tone.
Yeah, her dear sister’s mind works differently. "Do whatever you want," she said, not bothering her anymore, it’s impossible to change her mind. Maybe in heart she also wants to try, if her attempt works then the problem will be solved before it begins.
"Tell me, why are we changing house?" She asked.
"Ring! Ring.." Before Elizabeth say something her phone rang,
It was Lily calling her. She turned the phone on speaker and picked the call." Hello."
Immediately, Lily’s excited voice came from the other side.
"Did you see the pictures?. That portal thing didn’t just happen in Gritty high school. It’s happening all over the world— Ah..No!, unlike that stable portal, those were Rifts! Violent, distractive!. It’s like the end of the world! hahaha!.’’
" Then why’re you laughing like an idiot?" Elizabeth said, making a weird face. "Gone mad from fear?."
"It’s so exciting. Just fascinating!"
"Idiot." Elizabeth said, shaking her head.
Lily turned silent, then spoke. "If I’m an idiot then what are?"
"Just leave your cave and say the same thing while standing in front of me." Elizabeth said, threatening.
"Bye!..." The call was Cut.
"Hump, Coward." Elizabeth said. Then turning to her sister. "That’s why we are leaving..., I was thinking about taking control over some Rifts if they appeared useful, So, we need a more safe place."
"So, Where’re we going? And show me pictures "
"Romorose tower."Elizabeth over her mobile phone.
——
A high tech military room filled with big computer screens and wall-mounted monitors showing flashing red maps.
"How’s the salutation.’’ Asked the old guy with short white bread and hairs. He is a president of the country and facing a situation that no leader in the World would have faced before.
An officer who is monitoring the monitors spoke.
"Sir, according to current data. Those Rifts were appeared in fifteen different countries: Geogra, Migiual, Phical, Poli, Namaste, Norti, southi, Zambalia, Senghai, Vandalia, Grosvenia, Indoma, kansiza, Hriana, Jomikal." He took a breath. "And last 17th appeared in Antarctica..., but they already disappeared from Jomikal, Indoma, Migiyal? Unlike our New York, those Rifts were very unstable and distractive..., but there is no news of any alien life forms appearing from Rifts."
"Alright...,"
The president turned toward a 6 ’1 feet tall man in military uniform and said. "General Rook, since now New York Rift is under your control, do as you see fit for public safety, but do not offend the public by taking any extreme massoirs."
"Yes, Sir!." General formally Saluted.
With a nod, the president walked toward the exit while his special security guards followed him.
Then the guy in black suit walked to the president. "Sir, news is beginning to publicize the deaths of fifteen students."
The president spoke as he kept walking. "Alright, complicate their families... Just tell the public everything under control and ban any large gathering, and make sure the government ’s image won’t be damaged..., schedule a meeting with other countries."
"Yes, Sir, we got a request... from an FBI officer, he wants to make an independent special force that will search for superpower ability users and train them to handle any kind of future supernatural threats."
"Reject it."
The guy immediately added. "Sir, he is the third son of your friend, John Strom."
"Oh," the President pondered for a moment before speaking. "Grant it, and also grant the funds if he requests them."
The Strom family played the biggest role in making him win the election.
He can’t offend them.
After all, he needs them for the next elections too.
"Yes, sir"

In the car, Victor sat next to his mother in the back seat. Alice is driving, and on the other front seat sat Liza.
Alice likes to drive. That’s her new hobby, so whenever three of them go out, the steering wheel is always in her hand.
While Victor’s fingers moved over his phone.
After telling them about that heavenly chosen one thing, Victor felt really light. He’s playing a mobile game, then placing his phone on the side, he peeked at his mother’s phone, A live video’s playing.
A news reporter interviewing the crying lady.
"how you felt about your child being killed by aliens creatures..." Slap!
A slap landed on the reporter’s face, then followed a fist, the lady started beating the reporter and other public also joined.
It looks like he is new at his job Victor thought.
Just then His phone buzzed. Some messages appeared on his face.
It was a Jussica, saying she likes her new home.
He typed, okay. And throw the phone back on the seat after turning silent.
He rested on his head on his mother’s lap.
Elizabeth gently begins to pet his head, soon he falls asleep.

Before, at school Varun decided to leave, but when he reached home, he thought it was a bad idea.
He needs to level up. Who knows when he was going to get another opportunity to level up.
He is strong in his dragonoid transformation but not invisible.
He decided to go back. Reaching there he saw the school was under military control, now it’s off limits, out of his reach.
I should have entered it when I can.
Earlier, he thought it was not a good choice to enter an unknown portal which leads to an unknown place.
Now, he felt somewhat regretful.
But, just sometime later, he saw news that fifteen students were dead. He’s a sinner at their stupid choice.
Idiots, they should have left when time greed never ends with good.
