Rise of the Lustful Evil Monarch (Re)
Chapter 577: A Serene Voice and A Beautiful Woman (2)
Third Person’s POV
However, he quickly suppressed that thought.
His expression remained cold and indifferent as he was still inside hostile territory.
No matter how pleasant the voice sounded, he could not allow himself to reveal any weakness that another person could exploit.
Turning toward the source of the voice, Ethan managed to retain his cold expression while carefully hiding the eagerness and curiosity that had appeared within his heart. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
Standing near the doorway was a woman of medium height dressed in an elegant royal blue gown.
The dress was conservative and revealed very little besides her snow white arms and slender neck.
Even her body’s figure was hidden behind her conservative gown, only giving Ethan a rough idea that she was voluptuous and possessed nice assets that he could judge from her front view.
Yet the moment Ethan’s gaze landed upon her face, he found himself momentarily transfixed.
She possessed long black hair that flowed over her shoulders like silk.
Her eyes were a pale translucent blue that seemed almost unreal.
Long dark eyelashes framed those beautiful eyes, while her full lips and delicate nose completed features that appeared almost impossibly harmonious.
Everything about her seemed perfect.
Yet it was not the perfection of a queen displaying authority or a noblewoman flaunting her status.
Nor did she radiate some monstrous aura of power or the arrogance that powerful people often possessed.
Instead, she simply looked like a gentle woman in her mid twenties.
Her facial features were soft and refined, making her even more approachable, and she lacked the sharp, high cheekbones that many influential women possessed.
More importantly, there was a natural gentleness hidden within her eyes that made anyone who looked at her instinctively feel comfortable.
She wore no extravagant jewellery, no expensive magical gemstones, and no excessive makeup.
Yet somehow that simplicity only made her even more attractive.
For the first time since awakening, Ethan found himself staring slightly longer than he normally would have.
The circumstances surrounding him seemed to fade into the background for a brief moment as he admired the beauty standing before him.
Meanwhile, the woman herself was slightly surprised.
Initially, she had expected Ethan to react similarly to most men, who were all mesmerised without exception on seeing her for the first time, including her husband, the Ice Emperor.
However, seeing his handsome face remain completely cold and expressionless made her wonder whether he was genuinely unaffected.
Yet after noticing that his gaze lingered upon her face for several moments, a knowing smile appeared on her lips.
It seemed that this aloof and arrogant young master was not entirely immune to a woman’s charms after all.
What she did not know was that Ethan’s attention was not solely focused on her appearance.
He was observing everything, including her posture, subtle behaviors, and the confidence hidden within her eyes.
And most importantly, the fact that she had entered this room without the slightest trace of fear despite witnessing everything that had happened moments ago.
It might mean that she had a very high position in this family or organization that had kidnapped him, making it the reason behind her confidence.
Meanwhile, the woman had actually been observing Ethan ever since he had awakened.
She had watched his interaction with Elis, and she had witnessed their battle from beginning to end.
And she had also personally seen his complete and utter suppression of a genuine Sky Realm Mage despite supposedly having his mana veins sealed.
Because of that, she already held Ethan in extremely high regard, and her curiosity regarding him had only continued to grow.
She wanted to know his origins, his history, and the power that had raised such a strange young man.
And most importantly, how Arlene had managed to discover him hidden beneath the Twin Fang Mountains.
While she was lost in her own thoughts, Ethan suddenly spoke.
His expression remained unchanged, and his voice remained just as cold as before.
"Alright, tell me everything."
The woman blinked in slight surprise as his abrupt response startled her out of her thoughts.
For a brief moment, she had genuinely believed that he had become distracted by her appearance, but apparently, she had underestimated his self-control.
Without saying anything further, Ethan finally removed his hand from Elis’s neck.
The wood elf immediately inhaled a shaky breath and nearly collapsed.
However, Ethan did not allow her to fall.
Instead of letting her vulnerable body crash onto the floor, he calmly caught her by the waist and supported her.
The sudden contact caused Elis’s entire body to stiffen.
A faint blush appeared upon her pale face as she found herself so close to him.
Especially when she caught sight of his side profile from such proximity.
Without paying any attention to her reaction, Ethan simply guided her toward the bed and helped her sit down carefully.
Only after ensuring that she would not collapse did he turn away.
Walking toward the lone chair positioned near the center of the room, Ethan sat down leisurely.
Crossing one leg over the other, he rested an arm upon the armrest and looked directly toward the black-haired woman.
Then, with a simple gesture of his hand, he indicated for her to sit beside Elis and begin explaining everything.
Outwardly, his expression remained calm and indifferent, but hidden beneath that cold exterior, an intense eagerness burned within his heart.
After all, he had finally found someone capable of answering the countless questions that had been tormenting him since the moment he awakened.
The beautiful black-haired woman calmly walked toward the bed before sitting beside the wood elf, who was still slowly recovering from the effects of the battle and the terrifying illusion spell Ethan had used against her.
Ethan’s eyes unconsciously followed her figure for a brief moment.
He wanted to observe her back more carefully and to gauge her figure, but he soon discovered that her conservative royal gown concealed almost everything perfectly.
The flowing black fabric hid her figure so thoroughly that he could only make out a vague outline of her ass beneath the expensive cloth.
