Chapter 110: Exposed?

Noah’s frantic shout reached Desther’s ears.

He looked at Noah with an inquiring look, allowing him to continue.

"Boss, it’s like this. The Celestial Kingdom had just announced that they have an S-Grade Awakener. An S-Grade Awakener, can you imagine that? B-Grade Awakeners like Lexie are already dominating our rankings. How much more if it was an S-Grade Awake-"

Noah abruptly paused as he suddenly thought of something.

If a B-Grade Awakener was already as powerful as Lexie, and he knew for a fact that his boss, Desther, was countless times more capable than Lexie, then doesn’t that mean...

As the realization hit him, he could not help but look at Desther with a twinkle in his eyes.

To think that he was shocked by the Celestial Kingdom’s announcement, yet it turns out there has always been an S-Grade Awakener by his side all along.

He felt like a fool for not realizing sooner.

Of course, with the feat that Desther had shown these past few days, he thought that it was only right that he be an S-Grade Awakener like that one announced by Celestial Kingdom.

"Don’t think too much about it. You’re wrong anyway."

As if reading his thoughts, Desther immediately shattered his fantasy and told him the truth... well, partly the truth since he was indeed not an S-Grade Awakener but an SSS-Grade one.

Hearing that, Noah merely nodded his head but did not believe his words at all. He already knew of Desther’s style. Of course, he would deny it. In fact, it would seem odd and suspicious if he openly admits to it.

Noah did not point it out, though. This was yet another secret he was willing to take to his grave. And he was content about it.

"Besides, don’t be surprised for long. The Freedom Federation, the Brown Bear Alliance, and perhaps our country might announce the same thing, too."

Desther added. He indeed believed that this was the case.

Lexie hails from a prestigious family. It would be good for their public image if such a talent were among their family.

For a time, Desther also expected the shelter to get famous once this announcement was made.

Multiple awakeners from various settlements would also try to find their way here.

As what the Celestial Kingdom said, a country or a place that could birth an S-Grade Awakener would be sought after by the masses.

After all, if proven true, S-Grade Awakeners would no longer be just a regular Professional Awakened. They would be more than that. Respected, treasured, and maybe even worshiped.

They would become a symbol of status, a symbol of strength, and a symbol of peace and hope amidst these turbulent times.

Noah thought of what he said and could not help but agree for an entirely different reason.

He thought that maybe Desther had already been noticed by the authorities and that any time now, it would be announced that he was actually an S-Grade Awakener.

’Well, it was good while it lasted.’

He was thinking of keeping it a secret. But if the authorities were to spread and announce it, he would not be able to do anything about it.

He turned to look at his phone and noticed that their class group chat had already exploded due to the news.

He then saw one of them mention something interesting.

"Look here, boss. Is this actually the truth behind that rumored S-Grade Awakener?"

When Desther turned to look, he realized that one of their classmates in the group chat was actually telling everyone that the S-Grade Awakener from Celestial Kingdom had actually awakened in a mutating dungeon.

Not only that, he also posted some screenshots of the comments where the people connected the dots and said that if a dungeon mutation had occurred during the awakening ceremony, it was highly likely that a student with a strong talent or an S-grade one had awakened in that said dungeon.

The reason why it exploded in the group chat was because they had experienced it. The dungeon mutation during the awakening ceremony.

"What do you think, boss? Is it truly connected?" Noah asked.

"Who knows. But it should be more or less connected."

Desther did not give a direct answer. Even he himself was not a hundred percent sure about it.

Noah nodded his head in understanding; he did not entirely believe it either. But since the living proof was right beside him, he could not help but think that it was real as well.

Just then, one of their classmates said something that made the group chat silent for a few seconds.

"Then, who? Who is it? You bastard, stop hiding and admit you’re an S-Grade Awakener."

"Yes! If that’s truly the case, how about telling us in advance?"

"Whoever it is, confess now or forever regret your silence."

"Carry us to the top, boss!"

"Wait, I might have a guess as to who it is..."

The group chat went silent, as if waiting for him to continue his words.

"Damn it! Spill it already. Don’t you dare make me suffer from a cliffhanger in real life too!"

"Alright chill!"

The others waited in anticipation.

Although they already had an inkling in their mind, none of them actually dared to vocally say it.

"I think it’s..."

"NOAH!"

He even tagged Noah on his last message, as if telling him to confess.

"BULLSHIT!"

Noah immediately replied as soon as he saw his name being tagged.

’What kind of nonsense is this...’

"Where did that even come from?"

Not only Noah, but even their other classmates thought it was absurd.

The holder of an S-Grade talent in their mind was either Lexie or Victor. Noah being one did not cross their mind at all.

Like Noah, they thought that this classmate of theirs was merely bullshitting.

"No I am not!"

"Guys, think about it!"

He paused for a bit before typing again.

"I know what you guys are thinking... You guys might think that it’s Lexie, or Victor, right?"
