Chapter 111: Will Eventually Come To Light

"Yes, of course!"

One of them replied.

"But their current score... we already expected it even before this activity started, didn’t we? We already knew that they are powerful, so scoring this score did not mean that much to us, am I right?"

"Go on!"

Surprisingly enough, it was actually Victor that replied to the last part. It seemed that he was interested in knowing his reason for thinking that it was Noah too.

And who knows, maybe Lexi was reading this entire conversation right now too.

"Then, do you guys know who among us submitted a lot of points these past few days aside from Lexie and Victor?"

"One inconspicuous enough, and one that we do not expect to have that many kills or points?"

As he said that, realization finally hit the others as they connected the dots.

"Right! It’s Noah. Look, he’s already 19th in the overall ranking. In our class, he’s already the third."

"For someone with a D-grade talent, don’t you guys think that it’s suspicious?"

The chat went silent, as if they were internalizing this detail that they had previously overlooked.

"Damn. That actually makes sense?

"Bastard! Come forward and explain!"

Now, they finally realized where this classmate of theirs was coming from.

His logic was sane and was on point as well.

He was right.

How could someone with D-Grade talent manage to kill all of those monsters?

"And the reason why he’s just 3rd and 19th? It’s obviously because he doesn’t want others to know that he had awakened an S-Grade talent. Unfortunately for him, I, Leodero-sama, is quite gifted in terms of brains. How could I not figure it out? Hehehe!"

"LEODERO YOU BASTARD! STOP SPOUTING NONSENSE!"

If Noah could teleport directly beside Leodero as of this moment, he would surely strangle him to death for spouting such nonsense.

The others echoed Leodero’s response. From the looks of it, they wholeheartedly believed his claims now too.

"Interesting..."

Even Victor himself could only type that word.

Another person soon came out from the dark.

"Actually I have a confession to make..."

The chat went silent again.

"The reason why my points surged these past few days is actually because of Noah as well... Although I hate Leodero’s guts, I actually think that he’s right this time."

When Desther and Noah looked at it, they realized that this person was actually their first client.

He then proceeded to explain how he managed to get points from Noah’s pictures.

"NOAH YOU BASTARD! SO YOU’RE THE REASON WHY I’M NOW LAST IN OUR CLASS RANKING!?"

Now, it was Leodero’s turn to be enraged.

Seeing these barrage of comments, telling him to explain or confess, Noah did not know what to do.

He indeed has a lot of points, but it was due to Desther.

He could not openly admit that, right? It would expose Desther, which he obviously did not want to do.

And if he lied, and admit that he was indeed an S-Grade awakener, and the announcement were made, wouldn’t that mean that he would be embarrassed for impersonating such a strong person?

And if he leaves it be and not bother explaining... it would still seem like that Leodero’s theory was indeed right.

’Oh shit... What have I gotten myself into.’

Noah looked at Desther as if begging for help.

Desther merely looked at him before turning toward another direction.

He whistled and climbed atop the canopy of the tree, acting as if nothing had happened.

Seeing that, Noah could only suffer in silence and deny his classmate’s accusations as best he could.

There was nothing else that he could do about it aside from that.

The entire evening passed by uneventfully.

Well, aside from the fact that Noah was barraged with questions and accusations, nothing noteworthy had happened.

If not for the fact that Lexie intervened and told everyone to respect Noah’s decision of wanting to hide, the group would have surely pressured him even more.

Though what Lexie said was still tantamount to admitting that she also believed that he was the S-grade talent, making his situation worse.

When Desther went down to prepare breakfast, he realized that Noah was still looking at him with dead eyes.

Large and dark eye bags could be seen. It was apparent that he had not slept very well.

"Boss... do you think it’s already too late if I don’t submit any more points?"

He had just learned the way of staying hidden and inconspicuous from Desther, but he had already failed miserably after just a few days.

Hearing that, Desther merely chuckled and replied, "Just don’t think too much about it. It will all soon come to light anyway."

Noah nodded his head.

That was the only way left for him to clear his name.

He was still quite conflicted deep inside, though.

His name would be cleared, but that would mean that Desther would be the one in the limelight.

’Sigh! Even the boss does not care about it. I’ll just forget about it too and leave it to the boss to handle.’

After eating their breakfast, they proceeded to move deeper into the valley.

"By the way, Boss. Victor contacted me directly last night. Here are the details..."

Due to what had transpired last night, everyone came to know that Noah was offering points to others in exchange for Credit Points.

Their business got exposed because of it, and as a result, multiple classmates of theirs actually contacted him about it; all of them wanted to increase their points too.

Victor was not an exemption. He contacted Noah for it, asking if he was still offering that service even after they got exposed.

’Is he eyeing the first place? Wanting to surpass Lexie?’

Desther immediately thought of the real reason why he contacted them.

Before, Victor had already messaged and asked Noah if he was with Desther.

’Smart fella...’

Desther thought, realizing that Victor might have already suspected that he was the one with S-Grade Talent.

Since he knew that Noah was with Desther, he would obviously not believe that it was Noah killing all those monsters and obtaining those points.

Victor, asking Noah if they were still providing that service was actually addressed to Desther.

Well, there was no reason to decline anyway.

"Sure. Tell him that since he wants the first place, the price would not be cheap."
