Bullets were flung all around, yet in the same moment,

RIIIIIIIP!

Two hands, still holding onto a gun, flew into the sky, blood spurting out of their ends.

The boss’s eyes reddened, and immediately, he turned back swiftly, reaching for the exit of the bank vault, but he never took a full step out before—

RIIIIIP!

The sound of his flesh getting torn through rang out as he slowly turned his head down.

There, out of his chest, was a massive wing whose ends dangled with his own heart.

He was violently raised up before getting thrown out right after that.

"DIEEE!"

The rest of them screamed out, shooting into the darkness, though all their bullets did was hang meters away.

All of a sudden—

RIPPLE!

A ripple of energy came out of the darkness, and they all suddenly froze, their eyes beginning to glow with a lime-green energy.

In the next moment, their guns fell out of their hands, and each of them fell onto their side, remaining motionless.

Within the darkness, White had been able to see it all happen.

Zisel’s eyes all glowed at once, sending out the ripple forward, and immediately, the two seemed to have had their minds replaced by hers, as their eyes glowed the same colour as the light.

White didn’t waste any more time after that, recalling back his Black Sun Domain along with Zero Crown.

CLING!

CLING!

The ground made clinking sounds as all the hanging bullets came pouring down to the ground.

They had heard what they said, both White and Zisel.

For Zisel... it was beyond shocking.

By what she had just heard, a certain person, the Mayor’s Son, was the one responsible for the Supernaturals swarming into the city, with his main purpose being to steal away all the money in the vault?

But how did that make any sense? How could a human deploy a whole swarm led by Deltadoid creatures?

Also, did that mean there were some humans who would choose to work with Supernaturals?

But to White... it didn’t budge him at all.

Instead, she witnessed him tapping on a holograph watch on his left wrist.

And then came a recorded holograph of all three men as they came in.

"You... you got a recording?"

Zisel asked in surprise. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

That was quite the fast thinking. It didn’t even occur to her.

"I did."

White replied, and tapping on a couple holographs, he was able to send the message straight to Commander Zoltan, whose call came in right after.

"That’s a perfect recording. They’re still alive, right?"

he asked, as White turned to the bodies lying on the ground.

"Two of them?"

he replied.

"That’s good. I’m sending in a team to bring them in for arraignment. With them, we might just be able to get down to the bottom of this Supernatural and Human association, and of course, find a way to end it for good."

"That’ll be a good step towards victory."

White said before severing off the connection.

"And... who is that?"

Zisel asked.

"A Humanity Ascension official. They’ll figure things out better than we can..."

White said, before turning to the two unconscious men.

"What exactly did you do to them?"

he asked.

"Overloading their brains with information, knocking them out from mental exhaustion."

"So your eyes don’t just pick up minute information, they also store them and even release them onto people."

he asked.

"Basically."

she replied, and all of a sudden, the eyes on her body began to slowly shut closed.

White watched it happen as she went from an eye monster to reappearing as the normal beautiful lady he remembered back in the library.

"It’s morning."

she said, and White hummed.

"We need to make sure they don’t escape, so maybe we leave them inside the vault and lock it in?"

she offered, and White nodded, before his hands reached down.

CRAAACKK!

The sickening sound of bones breaking echoed through the vault, enough to snap both men out of their unconsciousness.

With a sickening feeling in her stomach, Zisel watched as White tied both men into each other like ropes, hanging their broken bones around the other.

"Pull too much and you rip out each other’s neck..."

White said, watching the men whose mouths widened, unable to even scream from the insane pain.

"Now this should keep them in place."

He said before turning, and Zisel followed out, locking the vault.

"Was that necessary though... the breaking their bones up and using it to tie them apart?"

Zisel asked, and White nodded his head.

"What if they decided to burn all the cash away in revenge then?"

he asked, and she froze. That was indeed a good point.

Since they were locked in the vault, and knew the law’s hands would soon catch up to them, they could just burn all of the city’s money as revenge.

But with their survival basically tied to them not moving too much after White’s tying, the last thing that would be on their mind now would be burning the cash up.

"We return back tonight... no additional person."

White said as they stepped outside, breaking out his wings and preparing to leave.

"So don’t be surprised if you get to the vault and find out they’re no longer there. They might’ve already been picked up."

He told her before his wings flapped, and he flashed into the distance.

Zisel watched him become a blur into the distance, a couple thoughts in her eyes before she eventually turned, becoming a purple blur and leaving into the distance.

15 hours later...

BOOOOOOOOM!

The upper floor of the skyscraper was blown apart as a winged figure slammed down onto a massive flying Supernal, crushing its head into the floor, which soon fully caved in as it disappeared down.

The system panel flashed as White veered in the sky, quickly stepping onto the ledge of the skyscraper.

"Ahhh..."

Breaths of exhaustion escaped his lips as he crouched on his knees.

It was already dark again, and all through the day, he had done nothing but hunt Supernals after and after.

He still couldn’t reach the target, but they’ve got one more day.

"I’ll definitely get it completed tomorrow."

White mused as he forced himself to rise up, flapping once to return to the safe house, when, all of a sudden, something...
