Chapter 26: Chapter 26—Academy Entrance Test

Laden could hear the rustling and rumbling from his classmates, but he couldn’t seem to understand why.

From his memories, Laden had heard of what the Academy Entrance Test was, but he didn’t have as much information.

"Some of you might have heard of the Academy Entrance Test, right?"

"For you guys that don’t know, the Academy Entrance Test is a yearly event made by the combined effort of all schools across the terminal to determine students that are qualified to attend a Summoner Academy," Dally explained.

While he listened to Dally’s words, Laden’s eyes widened in shock as he thought of the prospect of actually an actual Summoner Academy.

"There would be such a wide range of summons; I can’t wait. . " This is love for veterinary medicine showing itself.

As if she could hear his thoughts, Dally suddenly turned her head to look at Laden, giving him a curt nod before looking elsewhere.

"What was that?" he wondered.

Now that he understood what the Academy Entrance Test was, Laden settled down again to listen to the other details of the whole scenario.

"Such an important event, why was it suddenly brought forward?" Laden wondered.

"There have been a lot of debates on how to actually perform the test this year, as the amplitude test that we normally do previously has been producing very weak-willed summoners."

"Thus, since the perfect opportunity has arrived now, the test will change this year."

Other students that had an idea of how the academy entrance test actually was were immediately shocked to hear that there would be a change.

"Why? Are they trying to make most of us fail," one student complained from behind Laden.

His words immediately attracted Dally’s attention, making her turn to him with a sinister face.

"It’s no one’s fault that you are a weakling?" she retorted angrily.

The student opened his mouth, ready to say something else, but seeing the domineering expression on Dally’s face, he quickly shut his mouth and sank in his seat.

"As I was saying earlier, this test would be much more different than what has been happening for previous years; this time it would be a field experience."

"Which means you all will be heading directly outside the terminal for the test."

"Outside the terminal," Laden thought in shock.

"What exactly are we supposed to do outside the terminal," one student asked, attracting the weird gaze of everyone in the class.

"Is he dumb or what?" one person even muttered.

"To hunt evil beasts of course," a student seated at the front of the class responded with an extremely excited expression.

"Exactly, and since the stage will be prepared very soon, thanks to that dumb Jones," her voice went extremely low while she said the second part but it was still easy for Laden to hear it.

"Did she just call the man that sent the attacks out dumb, oh my," Laden said.

"That Attack yesterday night had angered a High Ranking Evil beast extremely harshly,"

"And we should be seeing the consequences soon," Dally said in a helpless voice.

"But before the consequences begin, why not let you guys go ahead and cull the herd a little," a smile surfaced on her face.

"What actually made those Jones guys randomly attack an Evil beast," Laden wondered.

But since there was no actual way for him to get the response, Laden could only take his mind off it and think of other things.

When Dally seemed like she was done with the announcement she came to share to the class, the students began to ask a barrage of questions.

Each one signifying just how scared the students actually were of the new upcoming test.

The more questions they asked, the more frustrated Dally seemed to become until she couldn’t take it anymore.

"You know the Academy Entrance Test is compulsory right?" she said.

"If you don’t want to participate, you can just fill the withdrawal form and give up your chances of attending an Summoner Academy,"

When the students heard her, the children quickly shut their mouth not daring to speak further. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

"That’s what I thought," she said while she stormed towards the exit.

"Meet me at the normal location, at the end of today’s class Laden," she said without even turning around.

The classmate instantly looked at Laden weirdly especially after what Dally had done to the class.

"Entitled Prick," the student that I was previously called a weakling by Dally earlier said from behind Laden.

Since he had been a student of the school, most students looked at him as a quiet kid that didn’t want any attention and that was exactly what he actually was until new Laden took over his body.

Now seeing him as a slightly popular kid capable of attracting Dally’s attention while still maintaining his quiet state, some had begun labelling him as an Entitled Prick that doesn’t put anyone in his eyes.

"Woow Prime, someone behind me just called your name,"Laden said with a slight chuckle.

"Don’t drag me into all of this. I am busy thinking," Prime said impatiently.

"Thinking? about what?" Laden asked.

"Since you are a collaborator, I think you are entitled to know," Prime said with a sigh.

"For about a day now, I have been having what you might consider a gut feeling but for Spirit Beast it’s something much deeper,"

"Something quite big will be happening to us soon," Prime said.

"Us? hey don’t drag me into your trouble," Laden said hurriedly.

"Idiot, aren’t you my Summoner," Prime said before going quiet again.

"Tsk, Really arrogant" Laden said.

The rest of the day went by quickly and soon it was time for Laden to go meet Dally in their previous location.

He rushed a bit and a minute later, he arrived at the location where he saw Dally sitting on an Ice chair.

"Don’t tell me, that chair has been there since," he thought in shock.

"Don’t bother coming over here, I just have one thing to tell you,"

"Alright, what Miss Dally," Laden asked.

"Prepare for the Academy Entrance Test like your life depends on it, cause it does," she said with a serious expression.

"Especially for you," her eyes looked like it was looking straight through Laden and into him.
