I stood amidst the purple fire storm, as my purple flames suddenly took the form of the horrifying giant face that was burned under my hell flames.

"Ahh!"

The screaming in pain, as I guessed the identity of this demon, from what I have seen so far, includes a Tree demon, a Fire demon, an Earthen demon, which was currently gripping my feet, and this one that made the vacuum around my body should be the wind demon.

I stared at the burning face in the sky, thinking if hellfire could actually kill this wind demon, because it didn’t have any solid body, unlike others. But from the look of it, the hellfire was dealing with this demon pretty well, as the burning face was roaring in the sky. The sight was truly horrifying. As the wind in the surrounding area was getting way too intense.

But soon I realised that I didn’t need to worry about flying away with the wind, as my feet were being held by the earth demon. Which quickly raises another worry in my mind, as I saw my treasure chest being flown away with the wind, Mink trying his best to hold her in place.

"Fuck!"

There was no chance I could let blown away by the wind, if that happened, where am I gonna find a new treasure chest? I had to do something.

I stretched my body to the max, stretching my hand towards her, but I was still an inch away from them. Mink’s tiny claws were digging into the ground, while his other paw was grabbing Emi’s hands, stopping her from flying away. Just as I was doing my best, Mink’s hand began to lose their grip.

My heart sank completely in that moment. I used all my strength and pulled my feet out of the ground to catch her, but I was still unable to reach her.

"Ahh~"

Her scream rang in my ears for a second before it got shut off. A young man was standing right in front of her. His eyes stared at the demonic face burning in the sky, while his hands were locked around Emi’s waist, holding her close to his chest.

For a moment, I completely forgot about the Demon, my eyes locked on this young man. This mf was holding Emi as she belongs to him, but we all know she was my most precious treasure chest.

I was looking straight into his golden eyes, and there was a warm smile on his lips as he whispered into Emi’s ear, "Don’t worry, it will be fine."

His voice was clearly reaching my ears. I was able to feel the confidence and calmness in his voice, very clearly, which made me believe that everything really gonna get better soon.

But my eyes were still locked on his right hand, which was wrapped around Emi’s waist; he wasn’t taking advantage of her in any sense, but I still didn’t like him at all.

After a few seconds, the wind finally calmed down, and I saw the burning face in the sky vanishing within the thin air, as a tiny white crystal fell from where the face was.

If my guess wasn’t wrong, this was the monster core of this wind demon. I stretched my hand to catch the crystal, as it was falling straight above my head.

Just as it was about to fall into my hand, I saw a tiny shadow grabbing it in the middle of the air. When I got to have a clear look at that shadow, it turned out to be a little black monkey that had scratched my face yesterday.

"Che... Che..."

He gave me a mocking look and laughed at me, showing off his white teeth. His tiny hand was holding the white crystal.

"Ricky!"

While I was staring at the little monkey, suddenly, Emi hugged my body, reminding me of her presence, which I had again forgotten in a moment of annoyance.

"Hey, can’t you wait for the second? I am doing something important here," I said, while hugging her back, as I let the Mink deal with that monkey. Both of them were little demons, so it should be an equal battle.

I gave a look at the silver-haired guy, who had protected Emi, and found him smiling warmly at us as he said, "My name is Adrine. I was passing by when I saw you guys in trouble, so I offered a helping hand"

His words were filled with humbleness, the way he was talking filled grace; clearly, this person had some deep roots. I narrowed my eyes a little and said nothing to him; not burning him alive was already the best thing I could do for him.

I glanced down at the little girl, hugging me so dearly. I wanted to give her an equally warm hug back, but I had to maintain face. I stopped myself from hugging her, turned my attention towards Mink and that little monkey’s fight.

Both of them have super-fast speed. From the look of it, Mink was actually faster, with the monkey being a little more agile, which was keeping the balance between them.

"Is that devil your pet?" Adrine asked me, watching the battle that was going on between Mink and the little monkey.

As I was about to nod, I froze in my place for a second, and I saw another man, almost the same height as Adrine, standing all in black. His clothes were black, his hair and eyes and everything were normal. Compared to Adrine, who was all white and had a warm aura around himself, he appeared rather cold.

It was hard for me to admit, but this new mf was actually looking cooler than me. And my eyes were instinctively drawn to the obsidian ring on the index finger of his right hand. It was shining under the sunlight, appearing way too catchy. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

At the same time, I heard the crackling sound in the sky.
